Re: UEFA Cup Matches (Feb 14 - 15) Zulte-Waregem (+0.5:0) Newcastle 2 @ 1.87 betdirect 10 points Zulte won two and lost two in their group stage matches. They started well by two wins, away at Austria Wien (4-1) and at home on Sparta Prague (3-1) but dropped afterwards losing heavily away at Espanyol (2-6) and at home to Ajax (0-3). Newcastle finished first in their group with 3 wins on Celta, Palermo and Fenerbahce. They drew at Franckfurt. The away wins at Palermo and Fenerbahce + the draw at Franckfurt show a good away disposition as all these teams are particularly good at home and Newcastle were not in great form at the time of these matches. Currently Newcastle are in better and improved form. In the premiership they’ve moved up to 8th place and lost only one game to Fulham in last six while winning thrice on high opposition Tottenham, Aston Villa and Liverpool. They can be expected to deliver another great game tonight despite the absences of their midfielder Scott Parker and their USA defender Oguchi Onyewu( ineligible). Newcastle will have back ex-Man United, Nicky Butt to captain the team and Kieron Dyer’s fitness will be checked after he played three games in a week. But Dyer is very good and I expect him in the game tonight. Zulte have been on rather poor form lately. They won last game by 3-1 at home on Standard but to they lost four out of five immediately preceding games playing away, drawing the other one at home.At home they are better but they lost to good teams as Ajax. Zulte-Waregem midfielder Ludwin van Nieuwenhuyze is suspended and goalkeeper Geert De Vlieger is doubtful. Frederic Dindeleux and Matthieu Verschuere will have tests after picking up knocks at the weekend. Newcastle have great ambitions and have taken all care to prepare for that game. I believe they’ll be able to lift the win there tonight. I choose the away win with the – 0.5 handicap @ 1.87 @ betdirect:nana

Re: UEFA Cup Matches (Feb 14 - 15) UEFA Cup: Spartak (-1) v Celta Vigo 1 @ 4.10 @ Expekt 10 points Spartak Moscow have played their last competitive game on 12 December when they won away at Sporting CP by 3-1. They finished second in their league with same number of points of the first but possessed the best attack of the league with 60 goals and 13 more than the winners. Spartak have plethora of good strikers and can be expected to score on Celta tonight. They are good at home particularly and in their league they lost only two games overall. Celta Vigo have dropped in form. They finished second in their group but with half the points (5) of Newcastle (10). One win, two draws and one defeat is not a brilliant record. In their local league Celta sit at two places from bottom in the drop zone and are winless in at least 10 last games with five draws and five losses. In last six games they lost five and managed only a draw against poorer Gimnastic. I see a clear win of Spartak here and choose the home win with the handicap (-1) @ 4.10 @ Expekt 10 points:nana

Re: Copa Libertadores Copa Libertadores: Bolivar(0:0) 2 @ 1.93 @ Pinnacles 10 points Boca Juniors are starting their Copa Libertadores Campaign tonight at their visit to Bolivar La Paz, but have already one game in the legs this season. They are boosted by their last Sunday impressive win away at Banfield by 4-0 and are further boosted by the arrival of Riquelme ex-Barcelona player. Although the latter will not be in the line-up tonight as he only started training with the club, his arrival to the club inspire more confidence to the team in attaining their ambitions. It is hard to break Bolivar at La Paz where they are at 3600 metres above sea level but Bolivar have not yet started their local season and have played their last competitive match on 30 November last which they won by 7-1 who finished third in the league while Bolivar finished second by one point more. They might miss the competition after ten weeks rest. . Boca Juniors are well prepared and have won the Libertadores Cup in 2004 and are proud to have been the last Argentinian team to win it. After dominating the local Championship their ambitions are to win that Cup again. They should be able to do well here and come back with at least a draw if not the win. I am going for the away win on the Asians with the (0) handicap @ 1.93 @ Pinnacles 10 points :nana

Re: Copa Libertadores Copa Libertadores: Real Potosi (-0.5:0) Flamengo 1 @ 2.025 @ bet365 10 points Real Potosi from Bolivia are hosting Brazilian team Flamengo In their league Real Potosi finished fifth last season but are very combative. They won five games, drew 3 and lost 4 but they managed to beat the three top teams in their last six games. They on top team Jorge Wilstermann by 2-1 although they were beaten by the same score in the reverse match. They were victotious also on Bolivar (2nd) by 4-2 and by 3-0 on Oriente (3rd). At home they are very good and tonight they will benefit from their acquaintance to play in high altitude as compared to visitors Flamengo. Their local season have not yet started but their last matches were not that far as they played the ultimate game on 3rd December. Flamengo have had a very moderate season in Brazil and are now engaged in the newly started Carioca. They’ve played on game away at moderate Botafogo and finished 3-3. I believe Flamengo limited in this game at Real Potosi and I choose the home win with the -0.5 ball handicap @ 2.025 @ bet365 :nana

Livorno (-0.25:0) Espanyol 2 at 1.76 @ Canbet 10 points Livorno are not in the same form of the beginning of their season and in the UEFA group matches they finished 3rd in their group after Mac Haifa and Rangers who were not so brilliant teams. They won only one game, their first one and that was at Auxerre by 1-0 on 12 December. They subsequently drew twice at home to Mac Haifa and away at Partizan before losing at home to Rangers by 2-3. Their form has been declining As opposed Espanyol have had an excellent UEFA group campaign winning their four games and scoring 11 against 2, They were in a group with Ajax, Zulte, Sparta Prague and Austria Wien. They finished 5 points ahead of Ajax. Espanyol are coming to the game on the back of an away 2-0 win on Celta in the Primera while Livorno are winless in last seven games of which three draws at home and four defeats away. They are now qualified for the final of the French Cup. They have done very well at home and beat Marseille another time on Sunday last at a time when marseille were in very good form. They should be the winner here as Osasuna have been too erratic lately although they won 3-2 away at low placed Gimnastic in the Sopanish Primera. Home win :nana

Re: Liiga cup 14/02/2007 Lahti v Helsinki AH (0:-0.25) 2 @ 10 points @ Fonbet In Finland FC Lahti are hosting high-flying Helsinki in the league cup after a hard fought 2-1 home win on rather poor Koo Tee Pee last week. At the same time HJK inflicted a 5-1 thrashing of Viikingit while playing at home. Helsinki won also on Mariehamn in a previous round and will look forward to go further in that cup. They won on Lahti last year by 2-1 in the Suomen Cup and are abl e to repeat the performance as Lahti have performed less well than Helsinki both in cups and leagues. Re: Copa Libertadores Copa Libertadores: Emelec(+1) v Velez (-1) 2 @ 4.0 @ betsafe 10 points :nana This is the first group stage match for both teams in the Copa Libertadores and at the start of the season for practically all teams involved an assessment of the forces cannot be too accurate. However Velez seem to have done better than Emelec in their recent games. Velez fought hard at the end of last season to get into 7th place in the Argentinian Primera. This season they qualified for the group stage of the Copa Libertdores by ousting Danudio by (2-1) and (3-0) wins. They followed by a 2-0 win on Newells in the league. Emelec ousted a poor Quito but lost 4-2 in their league match showing an erraqtic form and also a frail defense. They have lost their best players this season and this has an adverse effect on their performances. This could be to the benefit of in-form Velez who are usually not lenient in their games. I see a win of Velez here. They are able to win by more than one goal margin in their current form I choose to bet on the away on the 1X2 handicap with the (-1) ball handicap @ 4.0 on Betsafe. ( please amend the phrase in the post on Sports-punter where I inscribed Ah at 1.80). I filled the spaces properly in the windows.:notworthy

Corinthians have that game in hand and stand at 8th place with 12 points. Corinthians have much to play for in this game The win here will provide the three points that will bring them at par with 3rd placed Sao Paulo and at only one point from the two leaders and a win by two goals margin will even allow them to overtake Sao Paulo and get into the 3rd place with a better goal difference.
They have already won four of their six games played losing the other two to 2nd place Sao Caetano and 7th placed Ituano. Corinthians possess the second best attack of the league scoring 15 goals in six games and playing at home they should continue to do well and win against a rather poorRio Claro

Copa Libertadores: Tolima (-1.5:0)Tachira 1 @ 2.2 @ Stan James 10 points.:clap Columbian team Tolima are showing good form at the beginning of this season. They managed a nice 2-1 away win in the first leg this match of the Copa Libertadores at Tachira in Venezuela and followed this win by a first victory in their staring match of the local Copa Mustang again playing away at Huila by 3-2. Tonight’s game will be Tolima’s first competitive game of the season on their grounds and can be expected to do well. After the 2-1 win in the first leg, they will come to the game highly confident when hosting Tachira for the second leg . A reverse of this result can hardly be expected as it is a quite rare and unusual feature for an in-form team to win away and lose the reverse game at home after 15 days. This happens sometimes but rarely. In this case the odds of such reversal happening is quite remote as Tolima are in good form and the visitors Tachira are in a poor state even on their local front. Besides Taqchira lost their last two Primera games and are now on a streak of a three successive defeats coming after a 1-1 draw. I would see Tolima winning here and able to beat the -1.5 ball handicap. I go for the home win on the Asians with the (-1.5) ball handicap @ 2.2 @ Stan James.:cheers

They’ve lost only two games in last ten and those losses were to leaders Lyon ten games ago and by 0-1 away at Lorient. In the form they are they should get the better on visiting Panathinaikos tonight. The latter are in a rather patchy form although they are unbeaten in four of last five games, as they won two, drew two and lost one. In the group stage Lens was not so brilliant with 1-1-2 records winning on Osasuna by 3-1. Panathinaikops topped their group with 2-1-1 but their scoring was vey low with a goal tally of 3-4. They lost by 0-4 at other French team PSG on 13 December. I see Lens scoring and winning tonight and would god for the home win with the -1 ball handicap @ 2.14 @ 10Bet :nana
