as a few of know my son mini-me plays a lot on virgin and pokersatellites,, tonight he won $9.70 on virgin $50 freeroll, his personal best:ok finishing 2nd and lost the h/u to a coin flip now i am very proud of my son but is it morally right or wrong for such a young lad to be playing poker? as a kid i played cards a lot as we didnt have such things as playstations, televisions in our bedrooms etc etc and personally as long i do my best at teaching him this is a fun game i dont foresee a problem in the future.. but there is always that nagging doubt in my head that he may have problems later on when he is old enough to play in a casino etc. now i know that no-one has the answers and all i`m asking for is some honest opinions. his age?? will i get into trouble if i post it? put it this way he has an old mans head on a young man`s shoulders

Re: Punters Lounge Poker Cup Competition
i believe the way i read it that the second round will be a totally different focus game on a different dayAm now registered on Virgin with the thoroughly original user ID of....hornet01. Sorry to ask a dumb question, but is it only the 1st round that is for tonight? I have a bye and meet wallg in the 2nd round, so theoretically we could play whenever. -

Re: was i wrong???? tbh i had the feeling he was bluffing, you must get that feeling every now and then when your in the zone and you know exactly how he is gonna play,i did think at best he had the 2 to give him two pair, not once did i think he had any higher,so from the off i was sure i had this, and when he bet all in i knew i had him...but the abuse after was comical,he didnt like it one bit that i had called his bluff:lol , with regards to connectors i like to play the mid to high because they hit so often,

Re: Betfred Spring Festival
Did all your resolutions fall by the wayside half way into January!?! Well here’s your chance to start again as we enter the Chinese New Year! Our Spring Festival special promises to be fun yet competitive, with four Betfred Bounty players aiming to make it all the way to the final table...can you stop them!?!
The day of the tournament is the start of the ‘Year of the Pig’ in the Chinese calendar. Not only that but it’s also the birthday of the player representing this bounty. Jen is 27 today, so be sure to pass on your congratulations if you’re at her table. A few chips in her direction wouldn’t go amiss either!!
This cheeky character will be played, appropriately by Jackie, a regular bounty player. Jackie will be aiming to swing her way onto the final table, but will go ape should she fall victim to a bad beat!!
There was only ever one person lined up to play this bounty player, and it just had to be Martin. This slippery character will attempt to scale his way to the chip lead. Do you dare to take him on!?!
The final bounty will be played by Iain, who will attempt to play a powerful game. He will look to wing his way to the final table, leaving a few players burnt along the way!
We have pre-determined a selection of places that will be awarded with a ‘Fortune Cookie’, which will award that particular player a random amount of Bonus Dollars to their account. Will you get lucky!?!
Start date: Sunday 18 February 2007 @ 20:30 GMT Buy-in: $8 + $0.80 (R&A) Prize pool: $888 Guaranteed
Look out for our daily GREAT WALL or GREAT FALL tournaments. These qualifying events will run twice daily at 19:30 and 21:30 GMT and will be the same format as our popular All In or Fold tournaments. A seat in the main event is on offer for every 8 players. BACK TO TOP ^
