  1. Re: Super Saturday 7th Dec ....... where we all playing? also adding 3 PLO tourneys on Winamax: From the 1st to the 8th December 2013. Three RE-ENTRY tournaments. Three buy-ins. Three guaranteed prizes... this time it’s OMAHA! Similar to a certain film series set in a galaxy far away, after the success of the original Trilogy we decided it was time to make a change. We’re calling it the Trilogy Omaha. Prepare yourself for an exceptional week of poker from December 1st through the 8th. Three re-entry tournaments with buy-ins of €1, €3 and €10 offering prizes of €5,000, €10,000 and €25,000 guaranteed! All three tournaments have 9 “Day 1s” running from the 1st through the 8th of December, with Day 2 taking on Sunday, December 8th. Players will therefore have one chance per Day 1 to qualify for the Day 2.* *Your stack at the end of Day 1 will be your starting stack for Day 2. Once qualified for Day 2 you are no longer able to register for additional Day 1s of the same buy-in. The TRILOGY OMAHA tournaments: [TABLE=class: pricing]

  3. Online gambling company Unibet announced yesterday that it will be leaving the Microgaming Poker Network in a bid to launch its own standalone network by the New Year, as they feel being part of the larger poker network is no longer a sustainable option for their brand. The decision to move may have been influenced by a recent earnings report that highlighted gross revenue falling by 26% in comparison to last year - but more likely an overall industry trend that’s seen the smaller sites move their focus toward catering to the needs of recreational players. “In a way, our goal is to bring the fun back to poker by creating software with a clear focus on the casual player”, said Daniel Eskola, Head of Gaming at Unibet. This project is a combination of everything we believe is important in completing a fun poker experience.” Swedish listed Unibet are set to invest €1.25m in the project in a partnership with Estonian based software developers Relax Gaming, who also helped Unibet in the past with their fast-fold format. However, a strong relationship with Microgaming should persist, as Unibet are set to continue providing the network’s Quickfire games for its online casino.
