  1. Re: Punters Lounge Xmas Freeroll - Please vote for preferred date.

Good point... :unsure With the entry being lowered to 20 posts, several eligible players are not going to meet the post criteria for recieving the password in the PM. Not only yourself....but others who have played in past events.
the password would be sent to their registered email address :ok
  2. Re: Punters Lounge Xmas Freeroll - Please vote for preferred date.

I have not posted 50 times but hopefully will have by the weekend but am eligible to play' date=' if i havn't how will i get the password??[/quote'] why are you so desperate to play our freeroll? i am pretty sure you didnt have 20 posts as of 1st December, although the Mods will have details of that. its great to have such an enthusiatic poster on the forum, but still curious as to why you need to play this?
  3. Re: Sky Poker been playing around with it a bit,and got it a bit more stable now,AOL Browser and SkyPoker not very good,so booted up Google Chrome and it is a vast improvement,at least i can see the chat bar now. still way behind the other major sites though.

  4. just gone back on to Sky Poker as they have started doing Omaha, have to say it hasnt improved any. i was hoping as Des Duffy had taken control it would be a lot better than it is, it is slow, cumbersome and tbh a chore, the chatbox is awful, with a company as big as Sky you would have thought they would have a top notch poker site. does anyone like this software?

  5. Re: Poker / New Year Resolutions 2009 how did we all do? i have updated my post. i still need to be more disciplined in keeping records but overall a good year, a cash in the WSOP and my 1st LIVE win, but i am still not satisfied. 2010 will be a pivotal year for me,i have made great leaps this year but not enough big wins.

after a very undisciplined 3 years now, albeit winning years, i now resolve to do better in 2009. 1: i will record every game i play whether Online or Live. started off well, but didnt keep it up 2: i will qualify for the WSOP 2009 any event yes,and cashed 3: i will shrug my shoulders and say well done to the gits who donk me. yes and no FFS this year 4: money target i will aim high and go for $30k approx $15k 5: to win a PL award still time :hope 6: after wining my 1st Razz tourney last year , a win at HORSE and DRAW
    close but no cigars
  6. PokerStars is home to the biggest names in poker. There’s World Champions like Joe Cada, Chris Moneymaker and Peter Eastgate, legends like Daniel Negreanu, plus young stars like Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier - all under the proud name of Team PokerStars Pro. You’ll find them playing online regularly, but now we’re giving you even more chances to watch them play, chat and even compete against them for cash. That’s because we are introducing Team Pro Tuesdays. On this day every week, scores of our pro players will be logging on and playing at the tables, covering everything from cash games to tournaments, across a wide range of games and buy-in levels. You’ll be able to watch your favourite players in action, and talk to them from the rail. But that’s not all. Team Pro Tuesdays will also include two Outlast the Pro tournaments, where you can play against the big names and win cash by lasting longer than the Pros. There are two tournaments running each Tuesday from December 8-29. One at 13:00 ET, another at 20:00 ET. Each has a buy-in of only $11, with $1,000 added to the prize pool. Stay in the tournament longer than all the Pros and you’ll get to split the extra cash with the other players still left in. See the example below for more on how it works. How to find Team Pro and play against them Team PokerStars Pro players will be online every Tuesday between 12:00-15:00 ET and 19:00-22:00 ET. To find which players are online at any time, open the PokerStars software and click the ‘Team Pro’ button at the bottom of the main lobby window. Alternatively, click ‘Requests’ in the top menu bar and select ‘Find a Team PokerStars Player’. To register for an Outlast the Pro tournament, open the PokerStars lobby, click ‘Tourney’ & ‘All’. Example You are playing in an Outlast the Pro tournament and the last Team Pro left in is Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, who then busts out in 83rd place. You and every other player still left in would get an even share of the added $1,000 cash - in this case $12.20 each ($1,000/82 = $12.20).

  8. Binion's, formerly known as Binion's Horseshoe, located in Downtown, Las Vegas will be closing its hotel down on December 14, citing a poor economy for the decision. When Binion's was first opened in 1951 by founder Benny Binion, the casino was a haven for gamblers. Instead of shows, Binion's put the emphasis on gambling and had table limits at the craps table ten times higher than anywhere else in Las Vegas. When these limits proved extremely popular, Benny Binion then scrapped any table limits, meaning gamblers could wager any amount they liked. Binion's is most famous for being the original home of the World Series of Poker. First held in 1970, when six of the best known poker players played for the titles, the WSOP was slow to take off and twelve years after its conception only 52 players participated. However, since then the number of players, especially in the Main Event, has sky-rocketed and when the official final Main Event was held in 2004, there were 2,576 players took part. Harrah's Entertainment bought Binion's in 2004 when it was suffering finance issues and retained the rights to the Horseshoe and WSOP brands before selling the casino to MTR Gaming Group. As a gesture, they allowed the final two days of the 2005 Main Event take place at Binion's but every other event in the series, and every single WSOP event since has been held at the Harrah's owned The Rio. The rooms at Binion's have always been budget and at time of writing cost $21-$23 during the week and $49-$54 at the weekends. The hotel has very few facilities including a lack of wifi, televisions controlled by dials on the front of them and 1990's style credit card internet booths. This lack of modernisation has ultimately being Binion's downfall. Initial reports reveal 100 of the 800-strong workforce will be made redundant, 12.5% of them, though employees working in the casino and Binion's Ranch Steakhouse on the 24th floor of the building, will keep their jobs. We reported revenues in Las Vegas have been falling for more than the past year and this is just another blow to the gambling Mecca. How long the historic Binion's will survive after this is anyone's guess, I for one hope the will continue trading for many years to come.

  9. Re: teaulc`s in Orlando woohoo my kids are 17 and 13 and werent impressed with Disney at all and found the Epcot centre a bit of a disappointment. but then Disney is really for the young ones i suppose.although they did like Hollywood Studios. cant go wrong with Seaworld and Wet & Wild and Busch Gardens. Universal was very good and with regards to Kennedy Space Centre,we didnt go as tickets were around $45 each. if you do go to Disney get a 2 or 3 day pass as it wont take that long to go round tbh, unless you go into everything, depends on your kids likes and dislikes. my kids were more into Rollercoaster and high octane rides.
