    Black Belt Poker League XVII - October 16th 7.30pm for 8 weeks

    For the 17th League, someone could be walking away with an all-expenses paid package to the 2013 Irish Open courtesy of The 12 Days of Christmas promotion. League XVII kicks off on Tuesday, October 16 at 19:30 and runs for eight weeks. [h=3]Schedule[/h] Tuesday, October 16: Opening Leg Tuesday, December 04: Final Leg Wednesday, December 05: Second Chance SNG [h=3]Requirements[/h] The league is open to all Yellow Belts and above. To become Yellow Belt, all you have to do is open an account and make a deposit in the poker client. Please see our Play Poker section for details on how to download and install the Black Belt Poker client. [h=3]Details[/h] The highest ranked player in the standings after Leg 8 will win 12 gift vouchers. Gift vouchers can be used in The 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Please click here for more infomation on The 12 Days of Christmas. League matches take place every week at 19:30 on Tuesday evenings. The buy-in is $5+0.50 and the game is No Limit Texas Hold'em. The league consists of eight legs. You are free to join the league at any point. [h=3]Second Chance SNG[/h] The winners of each of the eight legs will be entered into a one-table SNG with the surviving player winning 10 gift vouchers. If the Champion also won a leg, he won't compete in the SNG. Similarly, a player won't earn extra seats for winning multiple legs. No added chips will be given to a player who wins multiple legs. [h=3]Loyalty Bonus[/h] Any player who participates in all eight legs of the league will earn an additional 200 Belt Points, regardless of finishing position. [h=3]League Points[/h] League XVII will employ the same league points structure as the previous leagues. For each leg points will be awarded as follows: Points will be awarded in reverse finishing order. So in a 50-runner field, 1st place will receive 50 points, and last place 1 point. Plus the top 10 finishers will be awarded additional points as follows: 1st 25 points 2nd 18 points 3rd 15 points 4th 12 points 5th 10 points 6th 8 points 7th 6 points 8th 4 points 9th 2 points 10th 1 point [h=3]League Prizes[/h] Prizes are gift vouchers for The 12 Days or Christmas promotion.     Re: The Nearly Man of Poker........... is your mindset different from when you play a freeroll with regards to a buy in? do you play looser? results will come your way, but bear in mind the bigger winners here play an awful lot of tourneys to get the results they have.

    Re: PL World Poker Champs - 6th Oct - Sponsored by Grosvenor & Over £1300 Added! just to add my bit,many thanks to all involved in organising our meet up this year and a big THANKYOU to Rich for looking after us all so well,sorry i didnt get to chat with you that much,but having a decent run in both games put paid to that.The food was stupendous and the chilli-con-carne was about the best i have had in a long while. finished 3rd in the Omaha,exit hand was a humdinger and well done to Rhubarb for the win,also well done to Bagheira for runner-up,(i would like to take credit for his game with the Variant League but that wouldnt be right). as for the Holdem,wellllllll.......... stuck between Ooblio on my right and Dave488 on my left,i knew i was gonna get a hard time (in the friendliest of ways),and the banter on the table was cracking. managed to get a 7/2o bluff on Dave as well. finished 8th when my 4/4 pre raise just couldnt match Franny`s A/8 (i thought you was stealing Mr Bond) all in. well done all the cashers as said in previous post. good to see some old faces and meet up with some new ones as well. Aidymac, you are one sure piss-head. roll on next year...................

    Great fun, as always. Holdem: 1) Dave488 2) Washman 3) Superfoo's mate (don't remember his name) 4) lil old me 5) Avongirl There were five places paid. With seven left, a deal was done to give sixth and seventh their buy-in back, and that seemed to be enough for the Poles, as Rejmak and Heniek went out seventh and sixth respectively. With a bit of help from some bad beats. :$
    so that made me bubble boy then lol,, well done Dave and to everyone that came this weekend.
