    Stars Launches 5 Card Omaha and 3 other Cash games

    b13922cd57.png Within the next week PokerStars will start dealing 5 Card Omaha and three other new and exciting cash games. Five Card Omaha is becoming increasingly popular in mixed live cash games and now it will be possible to play this fun game from the comfort of your own home – or even on your favourite mobile device thanks to the superb PokerStars Mobile App. The other new games set to launch are 5 Card Omaha Hi/Lo, Courchevel and Courchevel Hi/Lo. As the name suggests, 5 Card Omaha and its Hi/Lo variant play the same was as standard Omaha except each player receives five hole cards instead of four. Players then use exactly two cards from their five hole cards to make the best five-card hand. Courchevel is extremely popular in France but that popularity has started to filter through to the UK. This crazy game generates tons of action thanks to each players being dealt five hole cards and then the first card of the flop is dealt face up before the first round of betting takes place! All four new games will be available at 6-Max tables at the following stakes:
    • Pot Limit - $0.10/$0.25 to $200/$400
    • Fixed Limit (Hi/Lo variants) - $1/$2 to $1,000/$2,000

    The Black Belt Poker League XIX Black-Belt-Poker-League.png For the 19th League, two players will be walking away with a free ticket into the next exclusive Samurai event. League XIX kicks off on Tuesday, March 26 at 19:30 and runs for eight weeks. Schedule Tuesday, March 26: Opening Leg Tuesday, May 14: Final Leg Tuesday, May 21: Second Chance SNG Tuesday, May 21: Samurai Mega Satellite Wednesday, May 22: Samurai Requirements

    • The league is open to all Yellow Belts and above.
    • To become Yellow, all you have to do is open an account and make a deposit in the poker client.
    • Please see our Play Poker section for details on how to download and install the BBP client.

    Details The highest ranked player in the standings after Leg 8 will be crowned Champion. The Champion will win a free seat into Samurai on Wednesday, May 22 League matches take place every week at 19:30 on Tuesday evenings. The buy-in is $5+0.50 and the game is No Limit Texas Hold'em. Late registration available for the opening three levels. The league consists of eight legs. You are free to join the league at any point. See here for more information on Samurai. Second Chance SNG

    • The winners of each of the eight legs will be entered into a one-table SNG with the surviving player winning a seat into Samurai.
    • If the Champion also won a leg, he won't compete in the SNG. Similarly, a player won't earn extra seats for winning multiple legs.

    • No added chips will be given to a player who wins multiple legs.

    Loyalty Bonus Any player who participates in all eight legs of the league will earn an additional 150 Belt Points, regardless of finishing position. League Points League XIX will employ the same league points structure as the previous leagues. For each leg points will be awarded as follows: Points will be awarded in reverse finishing order. So in a 50-runner field, 1st place will receive 50 points, and last place 1 point.
