  1. Re: Australian Open 2015 Any thoughts now closer to the event? Fed looks primed.
  2. Starting to do some form analysis for Aussie Open 2015. Given last year's upset don't want to take anything for granted. BUT, I must admit, given Nadal's time out this year and his determination 2014 outcome, I do like him currently at 6.00. Anyone got any views on Wawrinka's expected efforts this time round? I can't see it being that easy..
  3. Re: Manchester City v Everton > Saturday December 6th Agreed neilovan, I also think Everton struggling too. They've also only won 1 of last 5 matches away which doesn't stack up well. Over 2.5 at 1.51 one of my top bets for this match.
  4. Re: NFL Futures Few of my early predictions Superbowl San Fran 49ers @ 8/1 Ladbrokes QB Passing Yards Drew Brees @ 3/1 Ladbrokes Matt Stafford @ 6/1 Ladbrokes For anyone interested in the NFL there's a NFL betting comp with some decent cash prizes. http://bit.ly/15s1gw9
  5. Re: The Ashes Thanks for the heads up TWP! Just entered this competition and backed: - Watson first innings top scorer for Australia @ 4/1 Paddy Power - Trott first innings top scorer for England @ 10/3 Paddy Power - England to win @ 8/11 with Paddy Power
  6. Re: French Open 2013 Nicolas Mahut vs Janko Tipsarevic >> Tipsarevic win @ 1.18 Even though Mahut is ahead 2-0 H2H he has been slipping down the rankings over the last couple of years and it should be an easy victory for the serb who could be a good outside bet for the tournament Andreas Seppi vs Blaz Kavcic >> Seppi win @ 1.45 Seppi came through a marathon last time out and this may well help giving him much court time. Kavcic might give him some problems being a claycourt favoured player himself, but he's only won back to back games 3 times this year Edouard Roger Vasselin vs Nicolas Almagro >> Almagro win @ 1.20 Almagro beat vasselin twice last year on clay in straight sets and the spaniard should make it 3 in a row Jo Wilfried Tsonga vs Jarkko Nieminen >> Tsonga win @ 1.16 Tsonga won in straight sets in miami a few weeks ago and should once again easily defeat the finn who is coming to the end of his career. Ashleigh Barty vs Lucie Hradecka >> Hradecka win @ 1.46 Hradecka is currently ranked 87 on the WTA list, Barty is 183, have never met before, this season on clay Hradecka has a 7-2 , 5-4 Barty. Last week Hradecka played an excellent tournament in Strasbourg and reached the finals, full of confidence and will win probably 2-0. Shuai Peng vs Camila Giorgi >> Peng win @ 1.40 Shuai Peng played in the final in Brussels 4 days ago and shows a lot of progress on clay. Giorgi had some success at Madrid and Strasbourg, but at 84 in the world is just a bit too low to consider seriously against in-form player like Peng.
  7. Re: FC Barcelona v FC Bayern München > Wed 1st May Barca go into this leg with little expectation of overturning a 4-0 deficit which is dangerous for Bayern as they will come into this tie with minds already on the final. Even though Barca were thrashed by Bayern in the 1st leg they still managed to control possession although they failed to convert any chances. In this leg Barca know they need goals and lots of them which will leave them vulnerable to Bayern counter attacks. If Barca can score early this could end up in a few goals. The BIG questions for me Can Bayern keep Messi & co quiet again? Can Barca go all out attack and not concede? My Picks Barcelona to win 1.83 @ Favourit Both teams to score 1.50 @ Favourit Over 3.5 goals 2.19 @ Favourit
  8. Re: Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid > Wed 24th April Dortmund play an attacking style and expect them to score a goal although I don't think they'll be able to keep a clean sheet against Real Madrid. Star player Gotze announcing he will play for Bayern next season is really bad timing for the team and could have a destabilising affect on morale. Best Bet: I'll back Both teams to score @ 1.53 PaddyPower Value Bet: Think this will end up 2-2 take the draw @ 3.40 PaddyPower
  9. Re: Juventus v FC Bayern München > Wed 10th April Juve draw no bet @ 11/10 Paddypower As many on this forum have stated, Juve have built strong team under Conti capable of scoring goals at home. Let's not forget Bayern conceded goals against an average Arsenal team and I'm backing Vucinic and co to find the net. Backing Juve to win and draw at least with Bayern most likely to play on the counter. Interesting Stat -Juve have won all 5 European QFs against German opponents
  10. Re: Manchester United v Manchester City > Mon 8th April Man Utd v Man City >> I'll back Over 3.5 goals @ 15/8 paddypower Expecting plenty of goals in this match. With not much on the line (apart from city pride) expect both teams to attack the goal.
  11. Re: Manchester United v Real Madrid > Tue 5th March Man United at home @ 2/1 (unheard of) or safety bet @ 5/4 draw no bet at Paddypower Man United get back captain Vidic for this tie should shore up defence although Real are coming off two massive wins over big rivals Barcelona which is reflected in the odds. Remember, Barca are in a bit of a form slump i.e. AC Milan (3rd in Serie A) beat them so not sure how big these wins really are. I'm going the Red Devils to go through at home =)
  12. Re: Borussia Dortmund v Shakhtar Donetsk > Tue 5th March Best Bet: Both teams to score @ 4/6 with Paddy Power. In the 7 CL games played by Borussia Dortmund they have conceded 7 goals keeping a clean sheet only twice. Shaktar have scored 14 goals in 7 games (8 goals away) which indicates they have no issue scoring away from home. Expecting goals in this game ! Value Bet: Borussia Dortmund to lead at half time @ 11/10 with Paddy Power. Shaktar will come out looking to score away goals which will leave them open at the back. Dortmund have scored in evry game so far so expect to see them score before half time. Good luck

  14. Re: Copa Del Rey > 26th - 27th February Apologies, didn't realise i hadn't left my reasoning below Atletico 2-1 up after 66 looking the goods =) They have been impressive on the road and are rarely held scoreless especially in he first half.
  15. Re: Copa Del Rey > 26th - 27th February Sevilla v Atletico Madrid >> Atletico Madrid @ 2/1 Paddypower
