  1. Re: Who's been where ? Aintree Ascot Bangor-on-Dee Brighton Cheltenam Chester Doncaster Haydock Leicester Ludlow Newbury Newmarket (rowley mile only) Salisbury Sandown Stratford Uttoxeter Warwick Wolverhampton Worcester Longchamp (6 arc weekends :beer) best race live: Has to be Zafonics guineas, the lightning hit the stand just before he did the same on the outside of the field. Thou Lamtarra's arc was quite special as well.

  3. Re: International Friendlies (Nov 14-15) I really cant see the quality of our back line mattering. Agree totally about the forwards should have more than enough for an easy win and we should win with -2. You could well be right about Steve Evans :clap

Agree with Jaded that our back 5 looks terribly fragile but the forward players look to have far too much quality for Liectenstein. I'll be dissapointed if we don't win this -1 let alone -2. I saw the Cyprus game and it was promising in parts. So long as our'big' players are selected and do play then we should win this fairly comfortably. As for Steve Evans' inclusion, purely a ploy to get Wrexham fans to turn out and cheer on one of their own for me.
  4. Max field of 8 Top quality field even with just 8 runners. I cant wait for Saturday to really get in the mood for it. "St Leger winner Sixties Icon has, as expected, been supplemented for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Jeremy Noseda's Classic winner has been added to the line-up for the 12-furlong showpiece after owners Paul and Susan Roy paid the 60,000 Euro supplementary fee to make him the sole British runner in the race. A maximum field of eight will go to post for the Group One event with main contenders Shirocco, Hurricane Run and Deep Impact all standing their ground. The first two are both trained by Andre Fabre who also has Prix Niel winner Rail Link to form a triple assault on the race. Alain de Royer-Dupre will rely on Pride after connections decided not to supplement impressive Prix Vermeille winner Mandesha. Robert Collet's French Derby second Best Name and Grand Prix de Deauville winner Irish Wells complete the probable runners. Aidan O'Brien has taken out both Alexandrova and Dylan Thomas, while Geoff Wragg's Dragon Dancer and French Oaks second Germance will also miss the race."

  5. I am off to the Arc this year for the first time in about 6 years. Is it still the same. Mortgage house for a beer and still get short changed? On the PM on saturday get spoken to in English and on Sunday the same person not know a word of English? Free coach there but hell to get back, i usually walk IS there still a Tote credit office if so i think i will just up my limit and use that? Racing post, is it still given out at the gate or do i need to track one down beforehand now? Assume it is still buttons to get in? Is there still a totally mad frenchman running up and down in front of the stands like he has a rat up his arse? Oh and Deep Impact for me :hope

  6. Ok dont normally post on here but thought i would give it a go having read about the 3.10 on bowles10's thread A lot of tips for sixties icon but for me the one to beat is Papal Bull, didnt act round Epson and yet would still have placed for me if it wasn't nearly put thru the rail when it finally got its action together. However :loon anyone who as seen my selections on DHRC will know that 6/4 is not my sort of price so for me the bet is Degas Art each way. Will stay the trip strongly and will take a chance that the ground will see it reverse placings with Red Rocks and Elsworth's horses are running well. Good value for me at the 25/1's widely available.
