  1. Louis Moult Anytime Hearts V motherwell @13/5 Bet365. I think the odds on offer are tremendous value as he has only failed to score in 11 of Motherwells 23 games this season. Moult and McDonald are becoming a lethal partnership and I would be tempted to go with McDonald too at slightly longer 11/4 ( Bet365) but he mostly scores at home.

  2. Got another few for tomorrow from the Rangers v Cowdenbeath game as I feel there are going to be goals galore.

i have James Tavernier at 4.33 at Coral, he is having another super goal scoring season, he has the freedom to roam and scored last week in a 6-0 rout against Dumbarton. He has 11 goals in 26 games this season and the 10/3 on offer against a team in a lower division is too good a price to turn down.

I also have Jason Holt again at 3.5 at Skybet as I feel the youngster is a good attacking midfielder for the championship again having a great goal scoring season with 9 goals.

And I have a punt with Greig Spence from Cowdenbeath at 6.5 at coral, this is speculative but he has a great goal scoring record with 14 in 19 games. I have seen rangers a few times this season and they are dodgy at best in defence. I think 6.5 is very tempting and I have taken some of that.

Motherwell v Cove Rangers Going for a small punt on Marvin Johnson Anytime scorer at 5s at coral. He is playing better recently and playing non league opposition at home should be a few chances for him to get on the scoresheet. Every other bookie is not even 3s so definitely value there.

    Winner inside 34 minutes :ok

  4. Trying a new system and new market so anyone reading this bear that in mind before following....

Kane Hemmings anytime scorer @3.4 Bet365 risking 1 point - In great form, scored 5 goals in his last 2 games playing against bottom of the table Dundee United tomorrow who are soft at the back. Terrific price as none of the other bookies are offering over 3s.

Greg Tansey to score [email protected] williamhill risking 0.5 point. Again Tansey is in great form, is their set piece taker and got a brace last week against Hamilton and got another goal the game before that against Aberdeen. He scored against county at home in the cup earlier in the season.

Liam Polworth anytime scorer @6s Coral risking 0.5 point. Polworth has come out of nowhere really and has scored 4 goals in his last 3 games. He scored an absolute beauty to win the game last week (3-4) and will be on a high. Going by the odds I think this is pretty generous.

  5. Dundee are a nice price at 6/5 at various bookies @skybet, Inverness are toothless up front and are a shadow of the team that won the Scottish cup and finished 3rd last season. Hearts I think are an inflated price at 13/10 at ladbrokes for a team that has 100% record so far this season. They are good physical team and have quality in the wide areas.

  6. Re: Manchester City v Aston Villa > Wednesday May 7th 2 points Both Teams to score @ paddypower 6/5 Going with the value play. Most other bookies have it priced at evens. Lambert has come out and said they will attack city and they will play without fear for this game. The pressure is off as they have avoided relegation so I dont see any reason why villa can create some scoring opportunities. Self explanatory for city as they will need to score and beat villa to have one hand on the trophy.

  7. Re: Scottish Football > December 26th - 28th

Following on from Killie's drubbing of Hearts, What's peoples thoughts on St Mirren to win against them at home today? Gut feeling to go for the outright win at 5/6 general, but seeing as they lost 4-0 at home, if they put out another inexperienced team then there should be a few goals in this one also. Just noticed game is tomorrow!! D'oh
I dont see a thread for the scottish sunday games..... In reference to the st mirren game I do expect St Mirren to win against Hearts but I couldn't back them at 5/6 (best price is 1.75 I believe now). My bet is Hibs v killie - Killie DNB @ 6/4 Hills Killie have been playing really well recently. They destroyed Hearts and in Kris Boyd and Chris Johntston they have goals within the team. Hibs at home have always struggled because they dont have the attacking threat to break teams down which are set up for the counter attack. Their fans want to them to keep pressing and making chances but they just dont have the creativity. The odds of 5/2 (Ladbrokes) for the straight win are appealing for the away win but I have decided safer option of Draw no bet.
  8. Re: Sky Bet League 2 > December 20th & 21st Dagenham and Redbridge v Torquay - Home Win 6/5 @ Stanjames I have plumped for Dagenham win here because they are strong on home soil. Torquay had a great result against Southend the other week but I feel that Dagenham will get a narrow win in this fixture. The home side have won their last 3 home games in a row and I fancy them to make it 4.

  9. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > December 20th & 21st Stevenage v Sheffield United - Away win @ 7/5 William Hill Fancy Nigel Clough's side against a Stevenage side in poor form. The Blades are unbeaten in the last 5 winning 3 and drawing 2. Stevenage's only home win recently was against Stourbridge in the cup (4-0). Their last home win was against high flying orient on the 12 Nov. I think the odds on an away win are a tad high considering the form of both teams. Sheffield United have no other injury concerns.

  10. Re: Scottish Football > Saturday December 14th Interesting games in the SPFL this week and with the weather to be really stormy north of the border I would like to share possible predictions in this weeks top flight matches. Hearts v Inverness Hearts are rightly seen as the underdogs here but I found it a strange one with Yogi Hughes getting the job up at the Highlands, his talents lie in spotting good young players but i dont rate his management skills too highly. As the poster above has pointed out Hearts do only have 12 senior players available but I fancy a wee punt on the draw purely because a) Inverness are a passing team but will be hindered playing their normal game by the storm coming b) hearts are at home and are in desperate need of points to get closer to safety. Small punt on Draw, Bet 365 11/4 Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd Both teams are capable of scoring goals. Dundee Utd have scored 4 or more goals in their last 5 matches. Their last meeting produced 7 goals in the league cup up at Tannadice. I saw today that Kris Boyd is one goal away from beating Henrik Larsson's scottish league goals record as well so he will be chomping at the bit to bag a goal or 2. I fancy over 3.5 goals at 21/10 at BetVictor because I think over 3s is value, other bookies are pricing at 3s or just under. Alternatively if over 2.5 goals gets closer to evens before kick off (currently best priced 17/20 on Ladbrokes) I will take that too. Ross County v Motherwell Both teams have several doubts over key personnel for this match. Motherwell have signed a keeper on an emergency loan from Dundee during the week. Motherwell are struggling really badly in creating any goal scoring chances and ross county keep the ball well generally. With the bad weather looming i feel this could be a very boring and turgid match which makes me think that under 2.5 goals is the way to go here. Generally bookies odds are around 1.83-1.91 but there is value (in my opinion) at coral and Bet 365, Under 2.5 goals - Bet 365/Coral at Evens

  11. Re: Aston Villa v Sunderland > Saturday November 30th Home Win 21/20 @ Bet365 I feel Villa are on a good run of form with 3 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats in the last 8 games. The return of Delph, Agbonlahor and Weimann certainly made a difference on Monday night to battle for a 2-2 against the Baggies. Villa are much more solid this season in comparison to last season. I see a little improvement in Sunderland with Poyet in charge however I dont think they have the necessary quality within their team. Altidore hasnt scored a league goal this season, they have lost sessengnon to WBA who was a big player for them, Fletcher is a decent striker but Johnson and Giacchherrini do not provide him with enough service. In my opinion the return of key personnel for Villa will grind out the result for the home team.

  12. Re: Hull City v Aston Villa > Saturday October 5th Fancy Villa for this one taken Away win @ 3.2 on Betfred Hull have had a good start to the season but are missing one of their main performers in Robbie Brady for the weekend as he has gone in for surgery. Villa are looking to have Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Westwood back for the match. I just think the price is more appealing due to the fact that Christian Benteke is out injured but with Libor Kozak at the forefront of theattack, Villa have proved that they can score goals without him winning the last 2 games against Norwich and Man City. Villa have been more successful away from home this season winning 66.6% of their away games this season against Norwich (0-1) and Arsenal (1-3) because they can play the counter attack much more and this is Villa's strength. In my opinion there is value on the away win. Another little stat for you is that Aston Villa have won all 4 games against Hull in the Premier League without conceding a goal.

  13. Re: Championship > 26th Feb - 2nd March Wolves v Watford - Away win @ 11/8 StanJames or BetVictor Cannot ignore the price of the away win here, Watford high in confidence and on form winning 4 out of the last 5 games. Dean Saunders still without a win as Wolves boss and don't look that impressive since he has taken over, if anything they have looked a tad more solid than under the previous boss. Watford have been scoring goals for fun this season and have had 10 wins away from home this season with 9 wins at home. The price of the away win here is just too good to turn down in my opinion.

  14. Re: Group B > Nov 21st (Arsenal, Schalke, Montpelier, Olympiakos) Arsenal v Montpellier, Over 2.5 goals Home team - 13/8 Coral Think this will be a makeable bet, Montpellier seem to be having problems on and off the field. They are not having the best of seasons already. Giroud has hit a bit of form and Gervinho is back from injury to add more potent threat to the Montpellier defence. Arsenal are still not through as well so I see them wanting to go gunning for the three points in their final home game of the group stages. I feel there is value as bookies are offering around 2.25-2.625. Good luck

  15. Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th And another. I have gone with Liechtenstein Double Chance (Win-Draw) at 4s on Bet 365. My reasoning is that Liechtenstein are not as bad as the general odds suggest (Bosnia game aside) whereas Latvia in my opinion are declining. Whenever I have seen Liechtenstein play they seem to be an ok outfit whereas Latvia are having problems on and off the field it seems. If Liechtenstein can keep the score 0-0 for as long as they can it will create an air of uncertainty for Latvia as the game goes on. Admittedly this is a shot in the dark but it is worth a small stake in my opinion.

  16. Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th With regards to England, you can argue that they are set up better for away games than at home. Built with a strong unit from the back and playing on the counter with the threat of Defoe, Rooney and Lennon etc. And when it comes to qualifying it seems that England stroll it until it is the business end in the tournaments. Have to admit England @ evens on Ladbrokes is too good a price to turn down in my opinion.

  17. Re: Ireland > Airtricity Premier League > 2012

Difference between them is even 13 points, the Hoops are fighting for a European place, while Shels have no imperative to win because they're safe in mid-table. Home team is in better shape and won in the previous two mutual duels this season. Away side come without three suspended regulars. These are the reasons why Shamrock is set for a big favorite. However... Shels play better away (only one defeat in last five away games) while Rovers have drawn their last four home games. Shamrock won convincingly 4:0 in last meeting against Shels at Tallaght Stadium, but you should know that an early red card for Shelbourne is determined the winner. After all this is a Dublin derby, so this is a classic no bet for me.
Thanks for the info. Anything can happen in a derby game.
  18. Re: Ireland > Airtricity Premier League > 2012 Hi Guys I have just started to look more closely in the Irish league to try and find more value for my betting rather than the more exposed leagues like England, Scotland or Spain etc. I was wondering why the bookies would be setting Shels at 7s against Shamrock? Of course Shamrock are the better team on paper, have better recent form than their opponents but I am thinking 7s is possibly a tad long considering there are only a couple of places separating them?
