Re: Daily Satellite wins - March 2014 Cheers Slap. It seems the side event finals are on Tuesdays only. This is not really good for me as next Tuesday is PSG - Chelsea and I simply can't miss it! But then again the following Tuesday I am travelling, and I don't want to wait for three weeks as I might try again if I fail in the final. So - Tuesday it is I guess, one eye on the final and one eye on the game. ICI C'EST PARIS :) Are you also trying to qualify again this year? Fred

Re: W.S.O.P. Sat. Thread 2014 Good news, 888 now has also a WSOP side event package on offer, for event 60. I believe the package value was USD 4500 or so, the route to qualify is the same as for the main event: 6 levels up to a USD 1050 final, where the chances to get a package are great. Of course, you need to reach the 1050 level first, from the previous level of USD 160 and that might not be so simple :) GL everyone trying for it, I'll most probably give it a go too Fred

Re: Hello guys! Newb post here Hi Shaun As a beginner I would concentrate on low buy-in, one-table SNGs which are highly flexible in terms of schedule and are good fun. Many sites incl. the iPoker ones offer beginners tables, good way to learn the tricks. This should help you get some experience and hopefully reduce / limit your losses, maybe turn in a small profit. Long term profit in poker in general is a difficult goal to reach though tbh, but not impossible. I would say that outside of general knowledge of the techniques, self-discipline and patience are two very important elements to aim for. :welcome Fred

Re: Railing And out - in 8th :( Disappointing but I had no room to manoeuvre on the final table, and ended up losing a perfect flip (Qd9d vs 3h3d) that probably was worth a few thousands euros! 2d time I reach the FT in this tournament, once a 9th and now an 8th!
