  1. Re: Portugal v Netherlands June 17th

Can only add to what the others have said in this thread. Holland have to come out and attack and I would hope they play with Van Der Vaart and Huntelaar as the midfield has lacked speed in the build up play and they have failed to convert the chances they have created. I think a lot depends on the selection of the Dutch team. If Van Bommel and De Jong start I think they will struggle. Portugal will most likely sit back to start with and try and hit them on the counter attack with the pace of Ronaldo and Nani. The Dutch defence has looked very poor in this tournament so for them to go through I feel they may have to score three goals. Over 2.5 at 1.8 Bet365
:D Should have been more goals in the game aswell. Holland have been shocking all tournament
  2. Re: Denmark v Germany June 17th

Germany have been the most impressive side in the Euros so far winning both of there group games comfortably whilst playing good football. They still aren't guarenteed qualification so will be trying to win the game and send out a message to there rivals. Denmark made a good game of it against Portugal and were unlucky to loose but the Germans are a step up in class. I expect the Germans to sneak this by the odd goal especially if Denmark start to take risks and be hit on the counter attack. Germany 1.7 WilliamHill
Unconvincing win by the Germans but the only side to win all three group games

  5. Re: Greece v Russia June 16th

Greece need to win this to stand a chance of going through with Russia only needing to draw. I can't see Russia playing for a goal and expect to see them try and beat the Greeks early on so they can rest a few players for the next round. The Greece defence will struggle to cope with the attackers Russia have. When Greece try and push on to score the Russians can use there deadly counter attacks to make them pay. Russia 1.73 BetVictor
Not a great performance from the Russians. Amazed how they went out especially after the first game
  6. Re: Czech Republic v Poland June 16th

Agree with the others who are on BTTS. Poland need to win this and I can't see Czech Republic holding out for a point so can see an open attacking game. Poland looked much improved against Russia last time out after there poor second half performance in the first game against Greece. I don't normally do correct scores but I fancy Poland to nick it and if they do it will only be by one goal. BTTS 1.73 BetVictor 2-1 Poland 10.00 BetVictor
Awful from the Poles, no urgency at all in the game

  9. Re: Ukraine v France - June 15

I like the look of the French side in this one. Ukraine looked poor for most of the game against Sweden and were rescued by the class of Shevchenko. I don't think the French have too much to worry about defensively. In there friendlies Ukraine were vulnerable in defence and there problems in that area have only got worse since then. Sweden did carve them open a few times and with better finishing could of scored more. France had a good defensive record in qualifying conceding just four goals. They have plenty of attacking talent which should be able to expose the poor Ukraine defence. They are in good form being unbeaten in 22 games. They played Ukraine about this time last year and ran out 4-1 winners. The step up in opposition for Ukraine should prove too much despite home advantage. France 2.1 WilliamHill
Another bet to add to my earlier one. I think this will be quite an attacking game and would expect France to be in control. I thought about taking France to win to nil but decided against it and gone for the safer option of 2-3 goals. I think France will win this 2-0 or 2-1 but having the goals spread covers other possibilities. 2-3 Goals at 1.95 Bet365
2/2 :cow France looked very comfortable

  12. Re: Spain v Rep of Ireland - June 14

Can only repeat what others have said, Spain should put a couple past a poor Ireland side who are devoid of any creativity due to the negative team selections from Trappotini. The Irish defence looked poor against Croatia who tore them apart and although I would expect Ireland to play even more defensively against Spain the creative play of Iniesta, Xavi, Silva and Alonso should be too much for Ireland to cope with. Spain -1.5 AH 1.78 Bet Victor
Another win. Well done to all those on the handicap

  14. Re: Italy v Croatia - June 14

I think Italy will avoid defeat in this game. They were very impressive against Spain, they managed to keep the ball and create chances and despite them having to change most of there defence they were solid defensively. I think Di Natale will come into the side in place of Balotelli as he impressed as a substitue against Spain. Croatia played well against a poor Ireland side and could of scored more, but Italy are a different class to Ireland. As already stated in the thread I think this will be an open game with both sides looking to win it. Italy DNB 1.75 Betfair

  15. Re: Italy v Croatia - June 14

This is a game that both sides would like to win to make there progress through to the next round easier and in there own hands. Croatia have to play Spain last so it's even more important for them to beat Italy or they will have to beat Spain in there final game to qualify. I don't see Croatia sitting back to contain Italy and expect them to try and take control of the game. They created plenty of chances against Ireland but looked vulnerable at the back especially at set pieces. Cassano and Di Natale looked dangerous together when they were on the pitch. They created plenty of chances which on another day would of been converted. BTTS at 2 William Hill

  18. Re: Holland v Germany - June 13

I concur with the others on this thread who say over 2.5 is the way to go. Holland need to win this game or there chances of qualification are pritty much over depending on how the Denmark Portugal game pans out. Holland were atrocious defensively against Denmark, who with better finishing could of scored again. They still pose a massive threat going forwards and with the creative talent on display from both sides there should be goals in this game. Over 2.5 at evens Bet365
2/2 for today, much better after yesterdays disaster. Well done everyone on overs and Germany
  19. Re: Denmark v Portugal - June 13

In the last eight meetings between these sides both teams have scored. Portugal need to win to stand any chance of qualifying so they will come out and try and attack. Denmark will be looking to play on the counter attack like they did against Holland. I think there's abit of value in BTTS at evens with Ladbrokes.
Won before half time, good start to todays bets

  22. Re: Poland v Russia June 12th

This game is huge and expect it to be a fiery encounter. The fans aren't keen on each other and the tension will spread to the players on the pitch making them edgy and fired up. Both sides will come out and fly into tackles. A point isn't much use to Poland depending on the result in the earlier game between Greece and the Czech Republic. If Russia win they qualify and can take it slightly easier in there final game. Russia come in to this game after battering a poor Czech side 4-1 and it should of been by more if Kerzakhov hadn't missed so many chances. They didn't look particularly impressive in defence and a better striker could punish this. In Lewandoswki Poland have a player capable of scoring and if the midfield can provide him with opportunities he can trouble the Russian defence. Polands defence was pritty poor and was exposed by a Greek side who aren't great going forward. The Russian forwards will be able to cause the Polish defence more problems than the Greeks did. Over 4 Cards 2.25 Ladbrokes Russia Over 1.5 goals 2.5 Ladbrokes
