Re: The Tipsters System I ended up with 5.5 points profit today - thanks again. I placed my bets at 13:15 (uk time) and layed bigger prices (odds in range 5-6) at price 4 and left them. Managed to have another two winning bets which you missed out on - Adelfia and Lady Misdain. Think a good change to your rules would be leave a lay (early) for high prices and take shorties 1 min before the off. Also, I noticed that for the shorties - your results show that you frequently lay at much better odds - so it seems better to take them as you have said 1 min before off.

Re: NeuroTennis Looks like a good system - have been interested myself in developing a neural network (for horse/football) - had a look at "fann" a couple of months ago which would suit my development language of choice c#.net. What neural network software do you use? Also, do you know of any good internet resources to help learn how to use them effectively I.e., deciding on appropriate range to use for variables etc? I have only read limited material on neural networks so any guidelines would be very helpful. Hope your success continues - I will be watching with interest.

Re: The Tipsters System Looks like you guys hit another spot of good luck missing the bad bets. I luckily can say I didn't take the full brunt either. Was rushing to get to work this morning so didn't get chance to place bets which meant taking prices at lunch - but because I'm greedy I never take the offer - just as well - lost 6 units instead of the 9+. Think we have done well to not have a losing day up til today.

Wow! :D I understand that this will probably not continue at such a high profit level as you have said, and that the yield will probably fall to a lowish level but reiterating what Hodgey says - an ideal start to the system. At least if we have a losing run now (I'm touching a wooden table) we can pull out at and break even (though I am with you for the long run - I expect we will probably have equally bad spells too - hopefully not).

Another great day - I made 2.1 pts profit today (using a 100pt bank and 1pt per selection) :) Thanks... Quick question: not sure if you are still recording all results in an excell spreadsheet - if so, would percentage of bank staking be more profitable than the "staggered percentage incremental" staking you are currently using?

Re: The Tipsters System How you doing upto now? - missed the earlier selections - may have to download that software (looks good). Although I fancy having a look at the free betfair api if I get chance tomorrow and perhaps write something? With that bf software can you include the rule of multplying stake if less than odds 2? Suppose you could probably do it as 2 seperate bets. I.e., if we should have 3 stakes if odds under 2: one if odds under 4 (1xstake), one if odds under 2 (2 x stake). I.e., all 3 will get matched.

Re: chelsea, manu, liverpool One way, I suppose, to answer this question would be to look at singles (not doubles) and see if top teams perform any better or worse in their first 5 games of the season to any other times in the season) - this is something I have been meaning to look at, the differences in performance over the course of the season (presumably weather does have an influence - but perhaps not to top teams (when at home - as you'd expect their "expensive" stadiums to not get as affected by the weather?).

Re: chelsea, manu, liverpool Thanks for answering; is difficult from those results to decide on best plan of action: 1) Overall an increase of yield by 4.1% which looks good, however, 2) A reduction in yield for the last three most recent years (-10%) So is it best to go with the long term stats or the more recent?

Re: The Tipsters System Another great day Pinhofap :D Missed yesterday - had to work over my lunch so was screwed in more ways than one :( Was thinking perhaps I'll join you after the next losing day, but then remembered that old concept of "events being independent". So I joined in for my second day this lunch. Anyway nice to start on a high - is always nice to have the dreaded los...(I won't say it) after some profit has been built up...Nicer still to never get one ;) Was interesting to see your documented analysis on the other thread (your approach is in many ways similar to my own - though I'm still awaiting the "golden" system - starting to think the best way is to have lots of little profitable systems). Anyway thanks for the profit today and Keep up the great work.

Re: chelsea, manu, liverpool Interesting stats Mr Muppet. Out of interest - have you tried omitting August to mid September results when running your back-tests? Not sure whether early season irregularites affect top teams but would be interesting to see whether it improves your profit margins or not?
