  1. Re: World Cup 2014 > Outright Betting Had £50 quid on a Nadal/Argentina double on betfair for a potential £750 profit. After Nadals win yesterday I could cash out at 80 quid profit. Does anyone else rate Argentinas chances as not as many as I would have thought have tipped them on here? To me on paper they have an incredible squad, used to the climate, no European team has ever won a World Cup in South America and so on .....

  2. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Cardiff City > Sunday March 2nd Adebayor to Score anytime and Tottenham to win 2.10 WilliamHill Adebayor is scoring for fun at the moment, he seems like a man on a mission with a point to prove. Cardiff are quite simply woeful at the minute, beat 4-0 at their own ground by Hull and lost 3-0 in their last away game v Swansea. I'm not sensing any kind of Europa League hangover by Spurs today in fact I expect the place to be brimming with confidence after the fantastic comeback on Thursday night. So I like Spurs to score at least a couple and Adebayor more than likely getting at least one himself.

  3. Re: FA Cup > January 4th & 5th Tottenham DNB 7/4 Paddypower Arsenal missing some key players and actually haven't been performing as late. Spurs are on a great run of form at the moment and I believe our incentive to win this game will be far higher than Arsenals aswell. It's looking like Adebayor is set to play as well so I will also take Adebayor to score anytime 12/5 Paddypower as he has scored in his last 2 visits to the Emirates with Tottenham and is in better form now than he has at any point in his Spurs career.

  4. Re: Galatasaray SK v Real Madrid > Tue 17th September Galatasary +1 2.30 Willam Hill Galatasary is never a easy place to go and let's not forget Galatasary beat Real Madrid 3-2 in Istanbul earlier this year. Madrid looked far from convincing against Villareal on Saturday and could still be adapting to losing Ozil and fitting Bale who is short of match practise into the side. I think Galatasary could get at least a draw here.

  5. Re: Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur > Sun 1st September Tottenham Draw No Bet @2.50 William Hill The simple fact is Spurs have a far stronger squad than Arsenal this season. Bale has been replaced with quality all over the park, and Spurs seem to be very big and tough to break down now with Paulinho and Capoue bossing the midfield. Spurs were all over Arsenal last season until Adebayor's sending off, but this season I sense that Spurs have much more of a backbone.

  6. Re: Wimbledon 2013

Well that is exactly how u do sound!! Lol - well done on the bet. Lay it off at 3s? I certainly would :)
Do you know what, I might just do that - and thanks. In fact i'm pretty sure she's only now favourite because of her fantastic win yesterday, it still wouldn't suprise me if she lost to Kanepi today. Because both players are hard hitters I can see todays game staying close so have taken..... Kanepi + 4.5 8/11 Paddy Power
  7. Re: Swansea v Man City > March 11th

You lay the backer who wants to back at 6.4. If you click on the bet and put in a number in the betslip it should be clear to you. If you want to bet on Swansea not to win (lay at 6.4) It will say for example if you type in to win £100 your liability will be £540, which goes to the backer if Swansea wins, and you get £100 - commission if they dont
Cheers for that mate, this type of betting is all new to me but that's cleared it up :cheers
  8. Re: Swansea v Man City > March 11th Probably posting this in the wrong section but i've just joined betfair, and for the Swansea v Man City game it's saying lay Swansea odds of 6.4, surely this doesn't mean I will get them odds if Swansea don't win the game or am I totally misunderstanding this. I thought laying a team was basically saying that that team won't win?

  9. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 6 March

Arsenal v AC Milan Arsenal to qualifty 26.00 Bet365 Just a small cheeky punt on this because Arsenal will be full of confidence after a impressive thumping of Spurs and then a good if rather fortunate win at Liverpool. Hopefully Wenger will field his strongest side and they will go for it. Milan are a pretty slow team and may struggle with Arsenals pace, and let's not forget how the pitch at the San Siro was conviniently bad on the wings nulifying Arsenals threat. They won't be afforded such a luxury at the Emirates. It seems pretty unlikely but if Arsenal were to come out all guns blazing and score a couple of first half goals then anything could happen. For these reasons I will definitely be putting bigger stakes on Arsenal to win 2.10 - Bet365
At one point I thought I was going to be really happy tonight, either way decent profit made so alls good and well done to all the other Arsenal backers tonight :nana

  11. Re: International Friendlies > 2012

England v Netherlands - Both teams to score - 1.95 @ Will Hill. 2 teams with good attacking players, and the pressure off with it being a friendly. I expect Stuart Pearce to want to make a statement in this game as he would love the national job full time, and the Netherlands are surely to good not to score. I'm expecting something like 2-2 so am quite happy to take BTS at these odds.
Looked like it was set to finish 2-0 to the Netherlands and then a Gary Cahill goal from a offside position brings it back to 2-1 with about 5 minutes left, and before you know it England peg it back to 2-2 injury time and im thinking I should have gone for exact scoreline haha only for the Netherlands to go and score again to win 3-2! :beer

  13. Re: Weekend > The FA Cup 5th Round > 18-19 Feb Stevenage v Tottenham Tottenham -1 @ 1.75 William Hill Tottenham -2 @ 3.10 William Hill With Champions League qualification already looking very likely and Harry most likely leaving at the end of the season I think the incentive to finish his impressive tenure at the club with a trophy will be high and thus we will see a strong Spurs side put out today as we did in the previous round against Watford. The fact that both Manchester clubs and Arsenal are already out of the competetion renders the chance of winning it even more likely. I think Tottenham will win today and win by at least more than one.

  14. Re: Welsh Open - 13-19 Feb Not a fan of these short games either, agree that it make the games far too hard to predict. Thought O' Sullivan v Williams would be a closer match than that and bet as such. And yet still i'm tempted to bet on Trump v O'Sullivan today, Trump leads the head to head 5-2 but the rocket is on fire at the moment. hmmm.

  15. Re: England > FA Cup > Weekend > 27/28/29 Jan

Value or not, just gone big on my own team Spurs at 4/9 William Hill A very strong team has been sent out with a pretty strong bench. Spurs will be looking to bounce back after what happened in Manchester last weekend and the quality difference against a struggling Championship side will surely be too much.
Deary me only just. Not a good peformance by Spurs at all, seemed very disjointed. We definitely don't have the same effect without the balance of Bale on the left and Lennon on the right.
