I admit he looks a bit clownesque, but he really has his value for the team. He's quite strong and has very good physique. A good striker to bring in the last 15 minutes. But offensive additions are nonetheless recommended. -
Yes but lierse played very well too. Though lacking composure in front of goal. We definitely missed sonck .Genk should be happy with the draw. And koteles wasn't as bad as stated above ;) Btw i won't bet on away victories at lierse. Last year only 1 top8 team (standard) managed to win here. Hi, I'll try to explain what my question is ;) A friend of me, he started betting on horses earlier this week and told me he just bets on the top3 favourites of a race. The most is staked on the top favourite, a little less on the 2 other. Lot of the times he wins 1/3 bets and makes a profit. In one week he got from €10 to €90. Actually my question is: "is this legit?". I mean, can bookies punish this kind of betting? Apparently winning money this way is not that hard, that's why I'm a bit suspicious. Wouldn't want my account closed or limited by doing this also ;)

Re: Head-to Head Meetings Yes, it was absolutely their own fault not to have won. They had the chances to win, but the style of play wasn't Anderlecht-wise either. It's still OHL (think it was 60 years ago they had played in first division the last time). Guess they'll probably want revenche at home, but as I said KV mechelen is quite strong defensively. Last season they've won a lot of games with 1-0. I hope you get the right end ;) I'm a Lierse supporter and KV Mechelen and Lierse have quite a history. The fans could eat eachother brains out, lol :D By the way, I just read Lucas Biglia will be back for this match. Could be crucial for Anderlecht.

Re: Head-to Head Meetings Be careful with Anderlecht. They started the season like they ended it. Pretty bad ;) Lost 2-1 against the newly promoted OH Leuven. They still miss Mbark Boussoufa a lot and his replacement (R. Vargas) is still injured. They signed Milan Jovanovic yesterday but I don't know if he's eligible to play yet. Mechelen is a defensive rather strong squad, so a draw is possible.

I'm a huge Real Madrid fan and I love to go to home games of my local team (Geel you'll prob. Know them since you are from Lier? or Lierse fan...)[/quote'] yes I know Geel of course ;) went there a couple of times watching Verbroedering Geel - Lierse. Last time in 2008 I guess. I live in Antwerp (City) but often reside in Grobbendonk so that's in the neigbourhood too ;) For the game of tonight, I expect a narrow win for Anderlecht (0-1 or 1-2). OHL did some good transfers + they're very motivated to show their best now they in the top division especially against Anderlecht. -
Re: Double 1.5 Goals I understand. About the knowledge of the game part, it sounds logic for the bigger competitions but for smaller competitions it may be somewhat tougher. That's why I though you maybe had some numeric requirements defined.

Re: All in the value for footy I wonder why you bet on something with odds of 1.35. Isn't that a bit too low & risky? Once in a while you get confronted with a draw (or even a loss) and you'll need a good run of right bets to recover from that.

Re: Belgium-Jupiler Pro League - 29-31 July I actually expect some more transfers to come near the end of the transfer window (when the players gets cheaper compared to their current price). Not only at my club, but others too. Also after years of wasting too much money, the board at Lierse changed a lot and we're cutting the expenses. I think the acquisition of Jesse de Preter as CEO is a good thing for the club, for the future. Not many useless transfers (we still got to get rid of players like Job, Douala, Camacho, Nottari, ...) Now, they're looking for some affordable opportunities. I admit we could use some more attacking strength too (only 3-4 attackers at the moment). I don't expect as a surprise this season, but a year without too much of stress would be welcome. The last 3 years were quite demanding "mentally" :p 2 years battling for promotion 1 year of battling against relegation (which we survived just a couple of mins before the end of the season) I hope that because of the few transfers we made and the squad remained a bit stable for the first time in years, we got a team that's accustomed to eachother. Who do you support by the way?

Karim Saidi has a past at Feyenoord and seems a defender with good passing (though his condition should improve over the weeks) Boban Grncarov played Champions League 2 seasons ago (against Chelsea, Atletico, Porto) and has a past at AA Gent. So he knows the Belgian competition. Also part of champions of Cyprus, Apoel Nicosia. Soufiane Bidaoui is rather unknown. Didn't succeed at Westerlo (where they wanted him to be the new Dirar). Left a good impression at Roeselare last season but I'll jugde him when I've seen a couple of games. Ok, Chris Janssens is an inexperienced coach but it was the same with Glenn de Boeck & Bob Peeters (at Cercle).

you're definitely on a roll :) that's 6/6 Kopenhagen - Shamrock 1-0 I took one bet of the 2 (u-2.5). I was cursing when Kopenhagen made the 1-0 after 4 mins of playing, but it stayed that wayFC København -v- Shamrock Rovers Shamrock Rovers showed over the two legs -v- Flora Tallinn that they are a very very tight team, as they won 1-0 on aggregate, and drew 0-0 away in Tallinn. Tonight they are up against a much better team than Tallinn, but whom have only begun their season. I believe Shamrock Rovers will play for the draw, and try as best they can to grab an away goal from set pieces. But they'll most likely play a 4-5-1 formation and work hard to hold onto a 0-0 for the 90 minutes. Shamrock Rovers have only once conceded twice in the league this year, otherwise conceding once or not at all. They also are struggling for goals, but realistically they aren't going to score tonight. I would recommend two bets tonight: Under 2.5 goals @ 2.46 odds on Betfair and Shamrock Rovers +2.0 AH @ 1.8 odds on Betfair. I've made four predictions on this forum so far during the European campaign for Irish teams, and all four have been right. Tonight I am confident both the tips above will pay off again.

Re: Belgium-Jupiler Pro League > Ante-Post 2011-12 Season I think you should always be cautious with players unfamiliar with the competition & style of play. It could also be an immediate "hit" but often players need an adaption period when they arrive in a new club. That's why I only mentioned the players who know the Belgian competition.
