  1. Re: Copa LIBERTADORES 2011 Thread Santos negative is that they all Neimar at the moment in attack, so if Penarol can find a way to keep him quiet(very hard), they could get a positive result. Santos is also unreliable in defense. Penarol, I believe have been a bit lucky to get to this point. Velez would have reached the final, if not for a missed Penalty less than 15 minutes from the end, and Penarol was also lucky against La Catolica who were up 2-0(penalty shootout) and were close to a third goal, but made some awfull mistakes at the back for Penarol to get a goal in the 90th minute. Santos always drew one of the legs since the group stage. Santos haven't lost a match since group stage. Two things to keep in mind. This is a tough match to predict. I think both teams are capable of getting something here, although, I'm leaning more towards Santos to get a positive result; a draw or win. Penarol vs Santos = Santos +0.5 @ 1.53 bet365

  2. Re: Copa America 2011 - Outright Bets I decided to place some bets in advance for this, to not risk the odds going down. Chile vs Mexico = Chile win @ 1.72 bet365 Mexico are playing with a second string team, I believe under 23. The same team that Venezuela embarrassed 3-0 in Las Vegas just this last weekend. Expect Mexico to lose all their matches in this Copa America. Chile have a young talented squad with lots of players playing in Europe. Chile will be looking to seriously compete in this Copa America and I'm sure that they can. Players like Alexis, Vidal, Jimenez etc are top notch. I expect Chile to cruise this match which will be played almost as a home match for Chile doe to how close Chile is to this Argentine city. Uruguay vs Peru = Peru +2 @ 1.35 bet365 Last time Peru lost a game to more than 1 goal was in 2009! Since then Peru has only lost twice. Peru drew their last 3 matches 0-0, so expect a low scoring game here. That doesn't mean Peru doesn't have a good attack though, Pizarro, Farfan and Guererro are three players Uruguay will need to watch out for. Uruguay on the other hand have failed to impress as of late, losing 3 of their last 5 friendlies. I think Uruguay are definitely the better team of the two and definitely have what it takes to get far in this tournament, but I can see them struggling against a defensive Peruvian team. Uruguay should just edge it here, but expect a difficult match for them. They'll be more than happy to win this one by 1-0 for example. Argentina vs Bolivia = Argentina -1.5 @ 1.38 bet365 Bolivia is by far the worse team in South America. They haven't won an away game since 2007. Mexico, Paraguay and Panama all recently won them by more than 1.5 goals. Argentina will be infront of their crowed and will be looking to impress. Anything but a "goleada" will be unacceptable for them. Expect lots of goals here. This bet is a gift really. Colombia vs Costa Rica = Colombia @ 1.44 bet365 Columbia are clear favorites to win this match. Though I have not been impressed by them as of late. They have some quality players and really should be winning a Costa Rica under 23 team. Much like Mexico I expect Costa Rica to be a walk in the park for all of their rivals.

  3. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June I think Guatemala will definitely win, but am not sure by how much. They have been a decent side, and have been pretty good so far defensively, but they have struggled to create anything, so won't be placing a handicap bet on them today, despite Grenada being absolute crap. Guatemala haven't scored in their last 3 games, just keep that in mind fellas. Anyway won my bet on El Salvador yesterday!:nana And I'm going to go for a draw today between Honduras and Jamaica. Honduras drew their last two games playing against decent opposition and I expect more of the same tonight. Though I do think Honduras is the better team, I think Jamaica can get a draw here. Am not expecting a high scoring game that's for sure. Neither side needs to win this, and I can see them both being happy with a draw. Honduras vs Jamaica = DRAW 3.1 @ bet365 :hope

  4. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June

xperto.com is refrigeration ' date=' .net is artificial grass . what domain is it chuck ? would like to check out their site if they have one . Thanks[/quote'] Its a Chilean site, so don't know if it works for betting if your from another country. Its a very basic betting site, but trust worthy and simple. Odds are very low, significantly, but like I said sometimes they overrate or underrate teams by a lot. I sotted this game and also Venezuela yesterday at very good odds. Its xperto.cl or you can try Polla.cl
  5. Re: ARGENTINA Primera Division 2011 Thread

what do you guys think about Velez and Lanus double? , odd ~ 2.8 Lanus in really good form and playing at home. I have seen couple of their games and they look well organised and strong in every position Velez against poor Huracan but it is away game p.s. and why there are so big odds on Estudiantes when they are playing at home, they have a lot of injuries?
Estudiantes really have nothing to play for, against a desperate River side. I saw Estudiantes last match and its was a boring 0-0 and they neither team really looked like scoring. River need to win this match or at least draw, meanwhile Estudiantes I think would also be happy with a draw. Can't see River losing this game to be honest. Lanus and Velez should both come out with 3 points out of their games today. Both Lanus and Velez will go all out in search of wins and I can't see them struggling too much. Huracan is a decent side, but Velez should win against a side with little to play for. Lanus can't afford to not win. If Velez win their match and Lanus don't, Velez will win the league. Lanus home form has been rather good as well. Another interesting match today is Boca vs Banfield. In what will be Palermo's last football game of his career and in which Boca need a win to qualify for the Copa Sudamericana. Banfield on the other hand have nothing to play for. Lanus vs Argentinos = Lanus win @ 1.72 bet365 Boca vs Banfield = Boca win @ 1.61 bet365 Huracan vs Velez = Velez win @ 1.53 bet365 :hope
  6. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June I got 1.95 on my local betting site for El Salvador vs Cuba, a site which usually doesn't offer very good odds at all, but every once in a while make some mistakes like these, offering way to much. Like for example yesterday offering 5.5 for Venezuela win vs Mexico.:clap Anyhow, will definitely take this bet. We have all seen how poor Cuba is. They are shambles defensively giving away goals for free. They try to go forward, but lack any sort of creativity to pose too much of a threat. El Salvador vs Cuba = El salvador win @ 1.95 xperto

  7. Re: International Friendlies > 11-12 June

Odd friendly for Mexico to be playing. Just one day before a Gold Cup match vs Costa Rica. My guess is Mexico will be playing with a reserve team. While Venezuela is far from being a reliable team to bet on, they did just recently draw with Mexico 1-1 and also beat Jamaica 2-0. Their putting Mexico as the favorites, but they are far from it in this match which will mean very little to them. Bet365 and Paddy power don't have this bet up yet, but I'll be taking a + handicap on Venezuela for sure on this one.

  8. Re: Copa America 2011 Thread Odds for Chile have significantly gone down I believe. But I'm taking the bet now before it goes any more down. Not much to say here, Mexico will be playing with a team of under 23. They just lost, as I expected, to Venezuela in Las Vegas, and Chile should be able to win this match by a couple of goals. Chile vs Mexico = Chile win @ 1.75 bet365

  9. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June

Result: Jamaica 2 Guatemala 0 I saw most of this game, which I thought was deservedly won by Jamaica, whose strength and speed made the difference. I didn't think Guatemala ever really looked like winning, it was just a question of could Jamaica score. I thought 2-0 was about right on the balance of play
I thought a 1-0 would definitely have been a more fair result. Jamaica wanted to win, but they really lacked creativity. How many chances did they create? Anyway, didn't win or lose this bet, so am not too disappointed by the result.

  11. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June

:ok (But ... I have noticed your bets tend to be lower risk ones, so a 'winner' wins less than a 'loser' loses. E.G. For a AH @ 1.33 odds bet, you would need 3 winners for every 1 loser just to break even ;))
Yeah I rather go safe most of time, unless I see very good values. My bets this week average odds were at 1.59. So the odds weren't all that low. Anyway here's hoping for another good week. Cheers!
  12. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June Jamaica vs Guatemala = Guatemala +2 @ 1.53 bet365 Guatemala hasn't lost a game by more than 2 goals in their last 14 games. Their 3 most recent results are two draws and one defeat 0-2 to Venezuela. They are coming from a good result, a 0-0 with Honduras away. Meanwhile Jamaica have only played 3 games so far this year. Also losing 0-2 to Venezuela and winning 3-2 vs El Salvador and most recently beating Grenada 4-0. 4-0 is a excellent result, but how good are Grenada? They recently lost 2-0 to Panama and also lost against Saint Kits and Nevis and drew with Antigua and Barbuda in their most recent matches. In Jamaica's last 20 games they had only managed to win by more than two goals once prior to their 4-0 over Grenada and it was against Cayman islands. I think Guatemala +2 at those odds is very nice. I think the result will be very tight and could actually end in a draw. :hope

  13. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June

Costa Rica v El Salvador I put this bet on earlier this morning, the odds having drifted ever so slightly since then. The two team were on opposite ends of 5-0 results in their first games, Costa Rica beating Cuba, while El Salvador were beaten by Mexico. Costa Rica were helped by a very attacking display from the Cubans, which left their backline overly exposed, helping produce a score which possibly flattered the Costa Ricans somewhat. El Salvador will take heart from the fact that Cuba produced a couple of decent opportunities themselves against a somewhat inexperienced defence at International level. Conversely, El Salvador will look to a horror four minute period early in the second half against the best team in CONCACAF which ruined their night. Both teams had had chances prior to that, Mexico admittedly the better ones, but El Salvador had threatened and had kept the Mexican attack out for almost an hour. El Salvador will be facing a Costa Rican team that are no where near as good as Mexico, while Costa Rica will be facing a team that won't allow them as much space in midfield or attack as Cuba. El Salvador had beaten Costa Rica in their last two competitive meetings, though I wouldn't expect them to do it this time. However, I do feel this will be a tighter game than the odds suggest and am more than happy to take El Salvador with a +1.5 goal handicap. Costa Rica may win, but I'm hoping it won't be by any more than one goal. El Salvador AH(+1.5) @ 2.14 (Ladbrokes) - 2/10 while I'm also topping up slightly as I believe the odds are even better value now. El Salvador AH(+1.5) @ 2.31 (10Bet) - 1/10
Took this bet as well, just took a different approach. I totally agree with the above comment. Good luck! No need to explain as Napoleon says it all in the above post. El Salvador +1, +1.5 at halftime @ 1.35 bet365
  14. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June Sorry won't be going on goal.com for stats again, the site I usually frequent wasn't loading on my browser and I usually read goal.com for news so decided I'd check out the stats from there. My mistake. Anyway, stats aside, I saw Cuba's game and they really failed to impress me. They were shambless defensibly and had no creativity at all going forward. I can't see them scoring at all today. I'll admit I have not seen Cuba in any other matches this year, but what I saw was enough to convince me to go for Mexico Clean Sheet. I don't think Cuba will be such an offensive team against Mexico at all, they will try to defend more which is all the more convenient for me. Anyway I expect a 2-0 3-0 win much like HastG. :hope

  15. Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup: 5-25 June Cuba vs Mexico = Mexico Clean Sheet @ 1.66 bet365 I would be lying if I said I knew much about Cuba. I did, however, see them play the other day, were they conceded 5 goals and scored none. They seemed to like to get forward, leaving their very defense exposed, but they had no creativity whatsoever in attack. I don't know how they will create any chances let alone score against a pretty solid Mexican defense. Cuba haven't scored a goal in their last 5 games! Clean Sheet for Mexico looks like a gift at 1.66. BET OF THE DAY. :dude
