  1. Re: Wolves v West Brom > Sun 12 Feb [h=2]TEAM NEWS[/h]Wolves midfielder Karl Henry misses Sunday's game as he completes a three-game ban, while winger Michael Kightly is still out with a back problem. Emmanuel Frimpong has returned to Arsenal after damaging his cruciate ligament, while Kevin Foley, Jamie O'Hara and Dave Edwards are doubts. West Brom duo Keith Andrews and Liam Ridgewell may make their debuts, but Graham Dorrans is doubtful. Shane Long, who has been troubled by chest and back pain, will be assessed. [h=2]MATCH PREVIEW[/h]There will have been contrasting emotions for these old rivals as they prepare for the 146th league Black Country derby. Wolves could well have been going into Sunday's game without a win in 10 Premier League matches, and must have feared the worse when they fell behind last weekend. The response and subsequent three points against 10-man Queens Park Rangers visibly lifted everybody at the club, not least Mick McCarthy, who was at least able to celebrate his 100th Premier League game in charge of the club.

“As ever, this derby won't be for the faint hearted”

I was at Molineux for their last home game and the manner of defeat against Liverpool clearly left him hurting, but the result at Loftus Road will have been a much-needed tonic. He'll be hoping Sebastien Bassong can help plug what has been a leaky defence and, while Emmanuel Frimpong's long-term injury is a blow, the return to fitness of Jamie O'Hara is extremely timely. They've lost their last three league games at home and will be eager to put on a derby show and build on last week's victory. Whilst Wolves have experienced an upturn in fortunes, West Brom go into the game on the back of yet another home defeat after the reverse against Swansea. In fact, they may even be relieved that the clash is at Molineux given that 18 of their 26 points so far have been earned on their travels. In normal circumstances that kind of away form would have propelled them nearer the European spots but they've been left to reflect on the disappointments and frustrations of events at the Hawthorns. This weekend is the first anniversary of Roy Hodgson's arrival to succeed Roberto Di Matteo at West Brom. He inherited a team fourth bottom and in trouble, but steered them to a comfortable 11th place-finish after a 1-1 draw against Wolves in his first game in charge. He'll be more aware of the rivalry in this fixture 12 months on, but also of the importance this particular match could hold. Wolves have only won three of the last 20 games against West Brom in all competitions but a victory on Sunday would suddenly put them within just a point of the Baggies. As ever, this derby won't be for the faint hearted. [h=2]MATCH FACTS[/h]Head-to-head

    • Wolves' 3-1 victory against West Brom last May is their only win in their previous seven matches against the Baggies.
    • West Brom have won 53 of the 145 previous league contests between the clubs, with Wolves prevailing on 52 occasions.
    Wolves
    • The victory at QPR gave Wolves their first win in 10 league games (W1, D4, L5).
    • Mick McCarthy's side have gained 13 points from losing positions this season, the best record in the Premier League.
    • They have conceded in each of their last 21 league matches, their worst run in the top flight since a club record 23-match streak from December 1961 to August 1962.

    West Brom

    • The Baggies have not won a Premier League game in February since a 2-0 victory against Blackburn in 2006.
    • They have won three of their last 12 Premier League games but have lost only one of their last six away matches (at Tottenham), claiming 11 points from a possible 18.
    • West Brom have not kept a Premier League clean sheet away from the Hawthorns since winning 1-0 at Norwich in September.

  2. Re: Netherlands, Eredivisie - 10/12 Feb What do you guys thing about the Utrecht - Den Haag match? I kinda fancy the away win. Utrecht just won against rivals Ajax and that might be to Den Haags advantage. They have nothing to lose. and the presure are on the hometeam to dominate the match. Do anybody have any teamnews? Den Haag won the two latest matches in Utrecht. Den Haag are around 4,75 @ BetVictor

  3. Re: Liverpool v Spurs > Mon 6th feb

Surely, only away games should be relevant for this fixture. Teams in general always get more corners when playing at home than away. That average statistic should be irrelevant, at least that is how I see it. Good luck with your bets :ok
Do you know any sites that got home and away corner stats? I dont. The avarage is properly the best we got and if, as you say, the get less away, then its a plus for the under bet. :) Good luck to you too mate :)
  4. Re: Liverpool v Spurs > Mon 6th feb

Fancy over 11.5 corners in this match @ 1.85 with bet365 as both teams have important numbers in this section usually: average for Liverpool 9.6, average against 3; average for Tottenham 6.3 average against 6.4. 8 out of 11 away matches for Tottenham were over 11.5 corners, while 6 / 11 at home for Liverpool were also over! Comments here?
I whent for under 9,5 corners. (3,40) Ladbrokes They do avarage quite a few but mostly against smaller teams. The fact that they conceed few corners, made me back under 9,5. Liverpool avarage only 3,9 corners against pr game, while spurs is 5,0 not 6,4 as you wrote. The meeting at White Hart Lane, only got 5 corners. If Van Der Vaart, Adebayor, Lennon and Defoe are absent its just a plus for the bet.
  5. Re: Ligue 2 - 3-6 February No doubt that Monaco got several good players. Lens lost some first team defenders but offensive midtfielder Cuvillier are a great newcommer. Nantes lost Serge Gapke who are a great player but they still got good players on the wings. Arles loaned some decent players, which might help them to another season in Ligue 2. Clermont got Landré in. He is a great asset to their defence. Just a quick run through off some off them :)

  6. Re: Ligue 2 - 3-6 February

  7. Re: Ligue 2 - 3-6 February The pitch are a mess due to the weather. It will properly be hard to play decent football at Angers. That could lead to few goals. Angers are rubish at the moment and got several good defenders out, while Monaco got 10 new players in. Not all of them will play, but it will properly take two to three matches, before they work as one unit. Perhaps under 1,5..

  8. Re: BBOTD Thursday 2nd of February 16:50 Wolverhampton Miss Cato Win (4,33) Betvictor The young filly got an impressive start to her career. Two wins on fibersand and the latest looking quite convincing. Miss Cato goes up 6lb for that win, but a 4l win comands respect. There are some promising horses in this field and especially Gabrials King and Meet Joe Black could be right up there. Miss Cato won over a mile and the extra furlong should not be a problem.

  9. Re: BBOTD 1st Feb 15:30 Leicester Painter Man Win (3,00)PaddyPower Won over course and distance in his latest run. Are up 7lb but whit a 9l win, he could still improve. He generally looks like a strong jumper and got a decent speed. There are some strong horses in this field and he properly need to battle it out against Big Easy. The slow ground could be to his advantage, since he previous done well on a heavy going.

  10. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 31st 16:00 Southwell Il Battista E/W (13,00) Ladbrokes Il Battista won at this course before but never off 6f. He previous ran well over 7f and got a decent mile record. The 4 year old, prefers aw and runs well on this surface. He won against better company before but cant seem to stay on the same mark or progress over longer time. 11. 15:45 Ayr Lady Bluesky Win (4,00) William Hill Lady Bluesky gets her first run at this grade. She´s been in great form lately, whit two placed and a win. She got a great hurdle record, whit three wins in six runs and generally looks strong. She could surprice the others at this level and continue her, good run. Lady Bluesky have showen some of her best off this distance. The ground are expected to be heavy, which could benefit the 9 year old. See previous done well on a slow ground. Lady Bluesky recent form. 5-5-3-2-1 The jockey Ewan Whillans are on board. He previous done well on this horse whit four win on her.

14:45 Sedgefield Sundown Trail Win (2,50) PaddyPower The 7 year old have improved his form lately and might be able to continue his good form. He got two runs at this track, whit one win to his name. The distance seems to suit him well. He got a decent speed and his grade history gets him the vote. The ground are expected to be soft. That should not be a problem for Sundown Trail. He previous showen some decent form, on a slightly slow going. Sundown Trail recent form. 1-4-5-1-3 The jockey Costello are booked for the 4th time in a row. He had a decent jump season, winning 14 % of his hurdle runs.

  14. Re: BBOTD Saturday 28th January 2012 14:35 Cheltenham Midnight Chase Win (7,00) VictorChandler The 10 year old got a great record on this track. He won four of seven runs and are generally a great jumper. There are some very strong horses in this field, but i doubt that Time For Rupert, Diamond Harry and Captain Chris could out run and jump Midnight Chase as the odds suggests. Midnight Chase had tow rather disapointing runs in a row but both where of a soft/heavy ground. He prefer a slightly faster going, which he will get at Cheltenham. Midnight Chase recent form. 1-1-5-F-3 The jockey Costello are among his regular jockeys. He won 11,9 % of his runs at this track.
