  3. 00:30 Chicago Fire v Colorado Rapids Chicago due to put out a full strength squad tonight as they don't have an MLS cup game until the 9th April and want to progress in the cup. Colorado have an important MLS game this weekend and have sent a second string squad. 1.79 for Chicago to win seems like a decent enough price - 3 points (out of 5)

  4. 15/03 11:00 - AFC Cup VB Sports v Song Lam Nghe An VB with a decent draw away to Indonesia's Sriwijaya in the first game, with a full strength squad after the return of important striker Ali Afshaq. AFC Cup debutants Song Lam beaten in their first home game by another debutant, Hong Kong's TSW Pegasus. The manager has also lamented the long trip to the Maldives, admitting that his team were fatigued, and has conceded that the team he uses for this game will be much changed due to injuries: “In our first AFC Cup game many of our players got injured and I can say that this time against VB we can’t use our best team. Some of them even didn’t travel to the Maldives, including the foreign players.” VB Sports to win @ 2.50 (Bet365) - 2 points (out of 5)

  5. Re: AFC Champions League 2011 15/03 11:30 - AFC Champions League Tianjin Teda v Gamba Osaka Tianjin with a decent win over South Korea's Jeju in their first game (it takes a good performance to win in Korea) while Gamba thumped a poor Melbourne victory at home in their first game. A bit of a speculatuve punt on this one, based mainly on not knowing how the Japanese players will react after the devestation in their homeland, and the convoluted nature of the journey to China. From TheAFC.com It took Gamba took two days to reach Tianjin because of the disaster and Nishino admitted the arduous travel had taken its toll on his squad. “The journey to Tianjin turned out convoluted,” he added. “I would not say that we are in good shape physically but we have no injuries. Everything soon moved into full swing here after our arrival and we will not let our supporters down. I'm willing to side with the Chinese in this one. Tianjin Teda to beat Gamba Osaka @ 3.75 (Betfair) - 1 point (out of 5)
