Re: Deadman's Bets Bet 2: Leeds Win Evs at VC Bet - 2pts Reasoning: Boro on dreadful away form. Leeds scoring and conceding but will probably win 11 - 10 or 12-11

Re: Tennis: 2-8 August I have looked into this from a mathematical perspective, and if you take a long term view of sports betting using a betting bankroll that you want to increase over time, it is certainly best to put the majority of your stakes on singles. The greater your edge over the bookies and the shorter the odds the more you can delve into doubles and sometimes trebles. At odds of 1.8 per individual bet (typical of tennis bets) and a healthy 10% edge over the bookies, you could place up to around 1/7 of your single bet stakes on doubles and about 1/7 of your doubles stake on trebles. This is still a very gung-ho approach. It would still probably be more sensible to just put a tiny amount on doubles and no trebles. If the odds were 1.4 you could change the 1/7 to 1/3. In short, unless you are confident that you have a big edge and the odds are very short I'd stick to singles with maybe a small amount on doubles.

Re: Over Under 2.5 goals Factors So to clarify, do you mean the match with the longest odds for under 2.5 (or under 3) goals in each league. Or do you mean when this match also contains the side with the longest odds in the league? Cheers

Re: Darts: European Championships Taylor is 1/2 to win the title. Given that he has won way over 66% of his recent tournaments do you guys think this represents value?

Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 Good point actually. It's more longer forms of the game where I prefer longer boundaries. 20/20 is one of the 3 greatest inventions of all time imo along with the wheel and the sat nav.

Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 I agree fatter. I like the Australian pitches where a shot through the covers gets you 2 and a good shot through the covers gets you 4. You get value from the shot being better. On these small grounds any old shot through the covers gets you 4.

Re: Cricket: England vs Australia - ODI Series (plus Ireland & Scotland games) Fingers crossed for the 6's bet but they haven't half brought the ropes in a long way. Commentors keep remarking about how short the boundaries are. At least there's movement and hopefully Ponting and Clarke will bat long.

Re: Quick System Cheers Ralphie. I got 7/4 on the winner.

Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 Don't worry Kevshat. I'd put a large wager on you being in profit by the end of the tournament.

Re: Quick System Great work ralphie. Excellent tipping. Can I just ask, when do you think tends to be the best time to place a bet in order to get the best odds. First thing in morning or just before the race?
