  1. Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Sydney/ Hobart

BobNL: Any reasoning for those bets?
Here they are again, now with reasoning. ;) 5/10 Giraldo -5.5 games tb Venus @ 2.00 (Titanbet) Giraldo did well last week in Brisbane, beating Millman and Petzschner in straight sets where he holded his serve well. Then in the QF he lost to Simon with 4-6 6-7, that is not very bad. In the first round in Auckland he will face a local, Michael Venus, ranked 379 who came here because of a wild-card. He plays future and challenger tournaments but without having spectacular results. I see no problems here for Giraldo to win this match in 6-3 6-3 or better. 5/10 Berlocq - Volandri; 2-0 @ 1.80 (Betsson) This is a match between two clay court specialists but Berlocq is the better hard court player. Last year on hard court he won sometimes some first round matches or took a set against a better player. This in comparison to Volandri who had not any chance in his hard court matches last season. Volandri played 10 sets and lost all of them. I see Berlocq winning here as he is the better overall player. The H2H (clay only) is 3-0 in favor of Berlocq where Berlocq won all these matches very easily. 3/10 Giraldo - Venus; 2-0 x Baghdatis tb Tursunov @ 1.85 (Titanbet) Giraldo I already covered and Baghdatis is the other play. This is not very hard for me, Baghdatis did well beating Harrison and Nishikori in straight sets before losing to a good Andy Murray. Tursunov lost to Albert Ramos, not a good player. I expect Baghdatis to win here but the price is not that high so that's why I put him in a bet together with Giraldo who I can't see dropping a set. 2/10 Stakhovsky -3 games tb Reynolds @ 1.94 (SBO) Small play here on Stakhovsky against Bobby Reynolds. Stakhovsky lost in three sets against Karlovic but he got some match points if I am right. Reynolds is a challenger tournament player and had not won a match last season on the ATP tour. Stakhovsky is a much more experienced play on these tournaments and had some wins last season. I think Stakhovsky will win this match and when he does, this line is not very hard to cover. But it is a small bet because Stakhovsky is not very consistent. I am of course still learning and not a very experienced write-up writer so comments will be appreciated.
  2. Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Sydney/ Hobart I got this: 5/10 Giraldo -5.5 games tb Venus @ 2.00 (Titanbet) 5/10 Berlocq - Volandri; 2-0 @ 1.80 (Betsson) 3/10 Giraldo - Venus; 2-0 x Baghdatis tb Tursunov @ 1.85 (Titanbet) 2/10 Stakhovsky -3 games tb Reynolds @ 1.94 (SBO) And an early bet on Haase to beat Bogomolov Jr. but odds are not good anymore.

  3. Re: Tennis: 31st December -8th January

Nobody has mentioned the obvious OVERS bet yet tho :lol
Yeah, that is also a possibility :D For tomorrow, I like Pironkova/Dimitrov in their mixed double match against Mattek-Sands/Fish in the Hopman Cup. If I see the previous matches in the Hopman Cup: Pironkova/Dimitrov defeated Kvitova/Berdych Pironkova/Dimitrov defeated Wozniacki/Nielsen Mattek-Sands/Fish lost to Wozniacki/Nielsen Mattek-Sands/Fish lost to Kvitova/Berdych So I expected the players from Bulgaria to be the favourite in this match. But the two only bookmakers with odds right now are Bwin and bet-at-home and they both priced Bulgaria at 2.20. I am not sure to take this bet or to wait for maybe more odds. What do you think?
  4. Re: Tennis: 31st December -8th January I just took Troicki with a +2 handicap. I think he has a good chance to win this match, but if he does not, he will keep it close. In August last year, he lost 6-3 6-7 6-7 and he covered the handicap. Troicki served well in his matches this week, better than Monfils who allowed 12 break points in his match against Becker. He survived against Becker, but I think Troicki will take these chances to break. I also read somewhere on the internet that Monfils was not totally fit in his last match against Becker. But I am not sure this is completely true.

  5. Re: Grex's HOMES; 237 bets; +15.5% yield First, sorry if this is asked before, because I see here always the same questions about how to pick your games. ;) But do you have stats about how many times the home team won with 1 goal difference or with 2+ difference? If you have a spreadsheet with all the picks, I can look for it on my own. I ask this because I thought it may also profitable to bet on the asian handicaps. But you are doing great again this season Grex, keep them coming! Good luck where in the world you are :D

  7. Re: Come Trade With Me Good trade on Wozniacki-Pennetta, just a bit unlucky in the end. I played that Bangalore/South Australia game too with the same strategy as you. I had +150 on SA and -50 on Bangalore before the last over and I forgot to lay at the last ball. I just thought I already won the bet and €150 but then that last ball, a six.... Good luck today if you are going to trade. I will give it a try again.

  8. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 7-8 October

Also looking at Netherlands - Moldova. Bet365 offering 2/5 on over 2.5 goals. Surely this one's a freebie if the Dutch are at full strength. Do we have any Dutchmen on here with team news? I know they're already through comfortably but their home qualifiers so far have been 2-1' date=' 4-1, 5-3 and 11-0, and I can't see this being any different. Moldova are very erratic and usually score but manage to lose away from home. Any advice on this one would be appreciated. Cheers.[/quote'] Here is your help from the Netherlands. Important players not in the squad: Sneijder, Heitinga, Afellay, Stekelenburg Questionable: Robben They are big players but the Netherlands has a strong squad. The goalkeeper Stekelenburg will be replaced by Swansea's Michel Vorm. Good goalkeeper, no problems. The defence will be Van der Wiel, Bruma, Mathijssen, Pieters. I think Bruma will replace Heitinga as he is doing well at Hamburg and there aren't more defenders who can play there. This is not a great defence, definitely not world class, but good enough against Moldova. Then the Netherlands will play with two players on midfield to control the match and four more offensive plays. There are many possibilities: Two defensive: Van Bommel, De Jong, Strootman, Van der Vaart Four offensive: Kuyt, Huntelaar, van Persie, Robben, Van der Vaart These are all good players. I expect Van der Vaart as attacking midfielder, replacing Sneijder. Huntelaar as striker, he is doing well at Schalke 04 and two of Kuyt/Van Persie/Robben on the wings, but I doubt if Robben can play, especially the first match against Moldova. The Netherlands will play at home in Rotterdam, big stadium, so they want to win. They are in a good form, great flow and I think that will continue. They will definitely play with the strongest 11 to win. Want to know more? :)
