  1. Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February

Mate' date=' did you watch the game between Ajax and Roda?! You say they played well. In my opinion, they were terrible. Just to make it clear for people who did not watch the game - Ajax could barely create any decent chance and they made so many stupid and elementary mistakes. I would never take a 1.50 for such inconsistent team against a very experienced side like Steaua. Just my opinion, though.[/quote'] Come on, Ajax created enough chances to win the game and hit the post and crossbar. They played not superbly but should have won this game 9 out of 10 times. The support had a conflict with the direction but there will be full support against Steaua. I do not know how good Steaua is exactly, but I expect Ajax to dominate the game at home. Ajax have some good results in the European Leagues with great play.
  2. Re: January 7 - January 13 CzechPunter, first of all, well done every time! I was looking also for some underdogs and I think Nieminen and Istomin have a good chance of winning their matches or covering the handicap, what do you think of these matches? And why do you prefer the set handicap over the game handicap?

  3. Re: Group D > Nov 6 (Man City, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax)

Any feedback from a Dutchman' date=' please?! We all know City too well - we watch them almost every week, so they have nothing to surprise us with. But we don't know that well Ajax and the answer to this game lies with guests and whether they have the quality/mentality to oppose City away from home. I watch Eredivisie from time to time, but don't have enough perspective to pass a judgment on Ajax. But I have a feeling that they are too poor defensively and am not sure if they could close down City well, even without David Silva (definitely a huge miss). I just get the feeling that if City scores before the 30th minute, they could beat them ugly. But if Ajax knows how to close themselves well, it would be another heavy affair for the Citizens. Hence, we need this info about Ajax defensive ability from somebody who follows them regularly. The last game I watched was against Feyenoord and Ajax were almost pathetic in the back - nearly each attack from Feyenoord was a goal-scoring opportunity. If they play the same at Etihad, they will get crushed for sure. However, it could have just been a bad day for Ajax defense, we don't know.[/quote'] You are right, it can be a tough day for Ajax with their defense. The defense struggles in the Eredivisie because they got pressured. If you give Ajax the ball and let them play, they can play well and pass the ball around. Ajax showed this two weeks ago against City and last year against United in the Europa League. However, I think Ajax was quite lucky in their previous match against City. City missed some big chances and Ajax did not have any more chances than those three which went in. Real Madrid showed that Ajax is very vulnerable to counter-attacks and this is an opportunity for City. If City is not afraid and plays more motivated and aggressively than two weeks ago, they can crush this Ajax. This will probably be the line-up tonight: Vermeer; Van Rhijn, Alderweireld, Moisander, Blind; De Jong, Poulsen, Schöne; Boerrigter, Eriksen, Babel. So that's one change compared to the first leg two weeks ago, Boerrigter in, Sana out but neither player is not in good form. Eriksen will again play as 'striker', however actually they will play without one, a bit like Barca with Messi. This was a surprise two weeks ago but I think Man City will be prepared for this.
  4. Re: ATP ranking 2012 Right now: 1. Roger Federer 12165 2. Novak Djokovic 11970 But if you look to the 2012 ranking, so that includes only points earned in 2012: 1. Novak Djokovic 11410 2. Roger Federer 9165 So Djokovic have a really big chance to become world #1 at the end of 2012.

  5. Re: French Open 2012 5/10 Martin Klizan -1.5 sets tb Nicolas Mahut @ 1.80 (Unibet) I really like to back Klizan and to fade Mahut. First start with Klizan, a real clay court player. He played already 28 clay court matches this year and lost one match in his last 11. Two weeks ago, he won the challenger in Bordeaux by beating Gabashvili in straight sets. He is fresh because he only played 4 games last Monday before Dancevic retired. Mahut on the other hand just played 4 matches this year on clay and lost in Bordeaux in straights to Gabashvili, the man who got beaten by Klizan. Mahut is not a frequent clay court player but won his first round in 4 sets against Andy Roddick. However, Andy Roddick hates clay and lost even in Dusseldorf to Go Soeda so beating Roddick is not that impressive. Mahut took his chances by converting 7 of 7 break points against 3 of 10 for Andy Roddick so it was not a clear win. Klizan is the better clay court player and will take the chances Mahut will give him. If even Roddick could get 10 opportunities to break, Klizan would get even more. They never played before but maybe you can compare them by seeing that Klizan won to Gabashvili two weeks ago while Mahut lost in straight sets. I expect Klizan to win here, maybe without dropping a set, but I even doubt that.

  6. Re: French Open 2012

After Barthel now we have Kukushkin' date=' losing games like crazy after he was serving for the match in the third set. I'll be dammed if he goes on to lose this one.[/quote'] *5-1 in third set, had several match points and now almost going to play a deciding set. Unbelievable.
  7. Re: April 16 - April 22

I'd expect Ferrer to win fairly comfortably too. He's too solid for Bellucci and will draw errors. He's played the Brazilian enough times to know he's dangerous. I wouldn't put you off ...
Thanks Atko. I agree with you about Wawrinka, good win today. I was only wondering where you found the -3 Asian line, I could only find -3.5? Do you also have some thoughts about the Dolgopolov match? I was thinking of Dolgo -3.5 as I do not rate Tomic highly as a clay court player.
  8. Re: April 16 - April 22 6/10 Thomaz Bellucci - David Ferrer; Under 19 games @ 1.99 (SBObet) Ferrer is the clear favourite in this match and I give him good chances to cover this line. Ferrer has a good season so far and did not covered this line on clay this year against Almagro and Giraldo but did covered it against 8 other opponents and I think Bellucci will be number 9. Bellucci beat Anderson in the first round 6-4 6-4 but that is not a special win. Anderson absolutely not a clay court player and not a good returner. Ferrer will do him much more damage and Bellucci lost already this season on clay to Del Bonis, Volandri and Granollers, not impressing. At last, Ferrer beat Bellucci twice on clay earlier fairly easy, in 16 and 17 games. What's your opinion about this?

  9. Re: Netherlands, Eredivisie - 24/26 Feb

Was quite sure that PSV will beat Feyenoord in the big derby this week but dissapointed with the price and wont make any bets on that one before PSV EL match this evening. 7' date='50 is quite generous for Feyenord and offers good value as they will certainly win one in seven in the same circumstances, but it wont happen this Sunday imo.[/quote'] Guidetti is suspended for this match and this is a huge blow for Feyenoord. But I agree, the price is not good anymore.
