  1. Re: Snooker: The Masters 10-17 Jan over 8pts profit for me so far. the over 50 breaks seems to be working well so im going to have another go at it. Ronnie O'Sullivan v Mark Williams - 8pts at OVER 6.5 Breaks @ 5/6 Going to use all my profit here as I feel this is another banker. Im a little tired after a long night but once again I feel this one will go over 9 frames and both players are playing really well. Williams had 6 50+ breaks against Murphy and Ronnie had 6 50+ breaks against Robertson and 7 50+ breaks against Ebdon. This is very very likely and will back it any day for a semi final :hope

  2. Re: Snooker: The Masters 10-17 Jan Looks like a great day for all Maguire backers - glad I followed quite a few of you on this:clap. Plus the -1.5 frames looks like a winner too Kev - well done:hope. I'm currently up 3pts so far and I've got one for tonights game. Selby v Allen - 6pts on OVER 6.5 50 Breaks @ 1.87 Agree with you on this one WS. Once again I feel this one will be a close one, which will make this bet more and more likely. Allen had 4 50+ breaks in 9 frames against Higgins and Selby too had 4 50+ breaks in 7 frames against Ding. Both players also had a 49 break each. IMO there will be 9+ frames in this game and both players will definitely full of confidence after being underdogs in their 1st round matches. IMO great value here. :hope

  3. Re: Snooker: The Masters 10-17 Jan Unfortunate with Ronnie, definitely had his chances to beat the handicap. One with high stakes should get me a profit for the day. Mark Williams v Shaun Murphy - 9pts on OVER 5.5 50 breaks @ 2/3 Paddypower IMO this is a banker. There easily should be over 8 or 9 frames thus making this even more likely. Both players are good pot builders and should really get 4 50 breaks each. Williams made 2 50+ breaks and Murphy made 4 50+ breaks in their first games. Both players are in okay form and I feel this one will be a very tight one - making the over 50+ an almost certainty. High stakes for me :hope

  4. Re: Tennis: 10th - 16th January Good solid wins for Dementieva and Kohlschreiber, Peer let me down. Good 3.4pts profit though. Two bets for me tonight in one game. S Williams v Dementieva - 4pts on Dementieva @ 2.42 and S Williams v Dementieva - 8pts on OVER 22.5 games @ 1.9 I believe these odds will fall to under 2.3 before the game as its going to be a very popular and valuable bet. Both ladies have made a great start to the year winning their first 4 games. However Dementieva has had the tougher opposition beating Safina and Azarenka in straight sets. I explained how good Dementieva was in my previous post and she proved that by losing only four games against Azarenka. She's serving well and hitting the ball very smoothly and will def. give Serena a tough tough game. Serena lost a set against Rezai and was playing distinctly average for a player of her calibre. She was broken 5 times during the match and if she gives these opportunites to Dementieva - she will get beaten. This should be a very close game and I feel it could easily go to three sets. If one bet works then we will see a profit. I think the values definitely with Dementieva and the overs here and will back her at these odds any day.

  5. Re: Snooker: The Masters 10-17 Jan Hi new on this, great thread so far. Will have a go with R.O'Sullivan v P.Ebdon - 3pts on R.O'Sullivan (-3.5 frames) @ 11/10 paddypower Was thinking about taking the -4.5 at 5/2 but didnt have the balls to take it so took this one. O'Sullivan played brilliant snooker against Robertson and really should destroy Ebdon here. Only one player in the world would be able to beat Robertson the way he was potting and thats the Rocket. Ronnie has already had two century breaks with a break average of 40.27 to Ebdon's 28.19. Ebdon is a good player but isnt at his best and is playing a very calm (therefore very dangerous) O'Sullivan. Marco Fu played poorly against Ebdon and really should have had more frames. They recently played each other at the UK championship where Ronnie won comfortably 9-3. H2H is 5-2 in the Ronnies favour. I dont like taking huge handicap bets but I'll make an exception here as I think we're in for a one man show. :hope

  6. Re: Tennis: 10th - 16th January Bad start for me, -6.7pts for the day:sad. Lets try make a profit tonight. Three for me tonight with high stakes. Kohlschreiber v Gicquel - 8pts on Kohlschreiber @ 1.64 Kohlschreiber was absolutely terrific against Bellucci last night. Made 71% of his first serve in the second set and if he serves anything like he did against Bellucci I think he will rip Gicquel apart. Gicquel destroyed Almagro who hasnt played in ages so dont get to bogged down into scoreline. Both players making a strong start to the year, Kohlschreiber winning 2 out of 2 and Gicquel winning 3 out 4. I feel Kohlschreiber has enough in the tank to win this match. H2H is 1-0 to Kohlschreiber. Odds maybe a little short but still going to have a punt at it. Azarenka v Dementieva - 8pts on Elena Dementieva 1.66 Bit low again but watched the Dementieva Safina match and Dementieva was brilliant. Theres a question mark over her second serve but she was only broken once whereas she broke powerful Safina 5 times in the match. Azarenka got lucky against Cibulkova who definitely had her opportunities to win the match. Both players have won their 3 matches this year, but Dementieva has lost one 1 set to Azarenka's 3. H2H is 2-1 to Dementieva. Should be a close game but Dementieva should have enough class to overcome Azarenka. Peer v Suarez Navarro - 7pts on Peer to win 2-0 @ 2.1 Definite difference in quality and form here plus a nice price too. Dokic is a good but had no opportunites to break Peers serve. Peer only lost 11 points on her serve throughout the match, which is remarkable against a player of Dokics' calibre. She also broke Dokic's serve on 4 occassions. Molik broke Suarez Navarro's serve 5 times and her second serve is extremely weak. Peer only lost one match this year to Wickmayer and Suarez Navarro has had sokme easy opponents winning 3 out of her last 4. H2H is 2-0 to Peer. Peer should be too powerful for Suarez Navarro and should be an easy game for her. :hope

  7. Re: Tennis: 10th - 16th January Hello everyone, great thread! will start with a few for tonights games. KOROLEV V FISH - 7pts on KOROLEV @ 2.16 Great value here IMO. How can Fish be favourite here, I fail to understand. Fish was beaten by Baghdatis in straight sets and struggled to beat to Ball last night. Whereas Korolev has already beaten big serving Querrey (showing a lot of bottle to clinch the game in the end) and can do it again tonight. He has won 2 out of 3 this year losing to Federer in Qatar. Korolev great value for me TROICKI V BAGHDATIS - 6pts on TROICKI @ 2.18 Another one where I see value. Baghdatis was smashed last week by Berdych and I cannot see this being more than a 50-50. Troicki has made a great start to the year and should be full of confidence, winning 4 out of his last 5 games only losing to the reborn rafa nadal. Should be close but going with the Serb in this one. DOKIC V PEER - 9pts on PEER @ 1.7 Nothing against Dokic here but I think Peer has too much power for Dokic. Dokic will have great support but Peer has shown last week that she is unfazed by that. Peer has made a great start to the year and will hope to build on her recent form. she has lost 1 out of her last 5 and that to Wickmayer (eventual winner of the ASB). Peer for me here IMO. :hope
