    Hewitt vs L Mayer - Gerry Webber Open (Halle) - Hewitt 2-0 - 8/11 - Paddy Power - Strength 9.5/10 - Moderately big stakes

Grass court specialist Leyton Hewitt comes up against a lucky loser from the qualifiers for the tournament, Leonardo Mayer. Mayer lost to World Ranked number 206 Cedrik-Marcel Stebe. This is far from Mayer's best surface and whilst he may possess a big serve that is well complimented on the grass, his inability to deal with sliced balls that will skid speedily across this surface is something that stands out for me. Taking this point in mind he'll be up against someone who is renownd for maneuvering the ball and his opponent in tandem around the court, from side to side , changing up play and then unleashing on the easy winner into the open court. Hewitt's experience and guile will see him home quite comfortably in an easy 2 set victory.

You won't get money back' date=' it'll be all-in, usually the way they do it.[/quote'] Thankfully I did, I had to contact them though of-course, LiveChat. They gave me all that goodwill gesture and all mumbo jumbo after I played on that "I am a loyal punter" stuff :rollin

Just a quick word on your write ups. Not sure if it's just me or others feel the same but the fact you do your tips in huge bold lettering' date=' then once they come through putting some eccentric quote up about how you won is starting to annoy me. It you're doing it for recognition, then maybe go about your business quietly then people may start to appreciate your input more. But what you do at the minute is just plain annoying and slightly desperate. You don't see others on the site do it, and your tips are no more important than any others. Remember that please.[/quote'] Listen mate, I don't give 2 shi*s what you have to say, I have done nothing in any way that isn't permitted by the forum's rules and regulations. Whether I bold my letters or not it shouldn't bother you and the fact that it does, is not my concern. I'm neither looking for recognition or approval, I simply have my own unorthodox style of posting tips. I am doing nothing different from you in posting tips and then quoting them post the result. If it bugs you I would suggest you use the "ignore" feature using the forum's settings. :ok

Halle - Gerry Weber Tournament Raonic vs Andujar - Raonic 2-0 in sets - 8/11 - Medium stakes - Paddy Power

Raonic has one of the BIGGEST serves in the game and a pretty solid volley to back it up on, whilst his baseline game isn't as accomplished as his opponents he still has the ability to strike flat out baseline winners. Andujar has had a tiresome clay court season, hindered a bit by injury, he isn't renownd for being particularly good on grass.

Another WIN :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

About time i tried to contribute in the Tennis sections i think as i bet on it often enough and always read the great stuff in the threads. Sam Querry vs Kei Nishikori 3/5pts Sam Querry to win 2-0 - 6/5 with William Hill Normally, at most other tournaments, i would not have this bet at a 3 point stake but i really like the American's chances today. He comes here as the defending champion and that should provide him with a lot of confidence. Last year he didn't encounter any of the top guys on his route to the final but he did well still to only lose one set in the whole tournament. The match against Fish was a tight one but he still came through 2-0 and i can't see his Japanese opponent posing anywhere near the same amount of problems. His form should improve now the clay season is over and his big hitting will be a lot more effective. Nishikori has had some injury problems this year and went out in the first round in 2010. There is no doubting the fact he can be a solid player but, as i said earlier, i can't see him doing much when returning Querry's serve. I thought this would have been a touch odds on, or even money at the largest, so i am more than happy to take the 6/5 available.
    Followed and thanks. ;) :clap

Halle - Gerry Webber R Hasse vs Dolgopolov - Dolgopolov 8/15 - Medium stakes Paddy Power

Dolgopolov is far and away the more talented player here and capable of better things on grass, whilst he can be a bit of an unforced error machine, his ability to serve ace after ace after followed by drop shot after drop shot after drop shot could prove too much for R Hasse who's weaker surface is grass by far.

Another one - Dolgopolov + Raonic = just under even money odds - medium stakes Paddy Power

Halle Tournament Federer to win tournament outright - 8/11 - RIDICULOUSLY HIGH STAKES - PADDY POWER

Can't see the man losing a match in this tournament with neither, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray in the draw and even with them I'd feel fairly confident. He's been serving consistent bombs all second week in France and those serves would prove even more devastating on the green stuff. His volleying, drop-shots and forehand are also in fine nick and whilst he is always susceptible to patchy periods during matches in which he makes heaps of unforced errors, I don't see anyone in the draw even near good enough on the surface to capitalize and punish him for them.

  10. Re: Tennis - The French Open

French Open Final - Federer vs Nadal - First set over 9.5 games - 8/13 - Medium stakes Paddy Power Most first set matches between these 2 have always been close if you look over the years. One determining factor for me is the way in which Federer is serving, I don't see Nadal getting near his serve for the first set, he'll need to get himself pumped up and get a feeling of how to read it well. If worse comes to worse Nadal will be the one thats broken, as long as he's not the one serving second, the over 9.5 handicap should be fine.

  12. Re: Tennis - The French Open The safest and most reliable high money bet would be over 3.5 sets in the Federer and Nadal match. lol Had I not invested in an Iphone 4 with my winnings, I almost definitily would have thrown a heap of money on over 3.5 sets. I best recommend that to anyone looking to bet big, Its an absolute cert, Federer's serve will keep him close enough to Nadal in atleast one set and enough so that'll he'll sneak a set. If Federer's the one on top well, you just know Nadal will have the will to win atleast 1 ... and who knows, it may even turn into a 5 set epic. Not making this bet but my recommendation.

    Nadal vs Federer - Over 3.5 sets - 1/2 - RIDICULOUSLY HIGH STAKES - 10/10

Bartoli vs Schaivone Selection - Schiavone 8/13 - Paddy Power Medium stakes

I just really don't get the hype behind this girl Bartoli, her serve is almost as bad as Petkovic's. If it wasn't for her amazing return of serve I don't know how she'd still be in this tournament. I can't see how Bartoli can contain the reigning French Open Champion's all court gave, her offence is pretty good but her defense is distinctly average. She also can't string a series of good points together, she's as eratic as Andy Murray has been this tournament. I feel Shciavone is a better clutch player, she plays the big points 10 times better than her opponent. A potential cover for this would be over 21.5 games, as there's no way Bartoli wins this in straights, oh and small stakes for the games.

WIN :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

Sharapova vs Li Na Selection - Li Na 13/8 - Paddy Power Medium stakes

I don't know much about women's tennis admittedly but have been watching the women's draw unfold this tournament, so here's my confident take.... Li Na is on a 10 match unbeaten run, the girl's movement and groundstrokes have been immaculate and you could say she comprehensively beat the one of the best female player's on clay in Azerenka in the last match. She is up there with Schaivone in terms of defensive prowess and that is one thing a lot of Sharapova's previous opponents this tournament have been lacking. Radwanska was able to manipulate Maria around the court but could not withstand the onslaught to her return of serves, same with Petkovic, who I have to say has an incredibly weak serve, its all arm and no rotation. Li Na is a solid manipulator, she can defend and she can attack and she knows how to slide on clay, one thing I've never seen Sharapova do. People talk about Murray having an easy draw to reach the semi finals, what about Sharapova, my oh my .... Lucic? Garcia? Chan? Radwanska? and Petkovic? The most highly credible there you would say, would have to be Radwanska and she choked and gave in to Maria's clutch play. Li Na meanwhile has had Kvitova and Azerenka in the last two rounds and I had Azerenka down as one of the favourites after watching her in clay masters tournaments. Sharapova is also vulnerable to the odd double fault, she still isn't fully over her shoulder injury, the rehabilitation process since the operation you feel is drawing to a close but isn't quite there yet. Li Na has also won their last 2 recent outings on grass, which is Sharapova's far and away best surface, due to the speed of the ball off the court from the massive forehands and serves she hits. Jun 7 2010 Birmingham WTA Int'l (GBR) Grass, F (1)(WC)Li(11,4.15) d (2)Sharapova(17,4.35) 7-5 6-1 Jun 8 2009 Birmingham WTA Int'l (GBR) Grass, SF (4)Li(20,3.13) d Sharapova(73,4.01) 6-4 6-4 Yes, its true, indeed she did beat her here @ Roland Garros 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 but that was a while back and an extremely tight match, one in which she was beagled on and one in which you would believe she used her ever so trusty clutch play to come through. Her clutch won't save her this time against a much more improved and experienced Li Na.

  15. Re: Tennis - The French Open

Anyone else here think murray and feds odds are both a fair way too high? After all they are the 3rd and 4th best in the world:lol Fed imo has looked the strongest out of anyone this tournament, and rafa looked awful vulnerable against soda last night, his consistency was just missing. Seems like a small play on both wouldnt be a bad idea?
In a word no. Murray would never ever beat Rafael Nadal on a clay court best of 5 set match and Federer is still too inconsistent to cause Djokovic any problems. When I mean inconsistent, I mean his spurts of Federerness are not frequent enough to over-come Novak. His clutch play has also not been great, I was amazed at howmany missed opportunities he had against Monfils to break time and time again and Monfils wasn't doing anything spectacular to hold either.
