Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Sorry guys, this was my biggest fluke this season. And the most expensive one, Dinamo (Z) should have lost by 5 goals margin. Couldn't have covered the +2 EH, which is soooo unexpected.

Re: Liverpool v Real Madrid > Wednesday October 22nd I'm so on the "Real takes 3 points tonight" train, but if all of us are so sure that Real is winning this... Why is the price drifting (from 1,7 this morning to 1,9 now @bet365)? I took some action @1,80, and now I'm considering to put some more if the price gets to evens. Even without Bale, Real seems way to strong for a team where Balotelli is the main threat tonight.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd I see the price on Dinamo Zagreb drifting, to 6,50 @Bet365. Considering their recent form, the style of play showed Vs Celtic, and the trashing of Astra, I believe there's solid value in DINAMO +1 (EH) 2,60 DINAMO +2 (EH) 1,57 Salsburg is no powerhouse in this competition, holding out a draw Vs. Celtic is the only thing they've done better than Dinamo (Z) this season in EL, and I believe they are being overpriced. They have let in 2 goals against Ried, and Dinamo definitely rates higher than Ried in the terms of quality. Without injured Duje ?op, I guess that Man.Utd Henriquez will start in the first 11, and he and Soudani should score a goal, while I doubt that Salzburg can score more.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday August 28th I agree with Claugol, there is low chance of Dinamo not conceding according to their form and results lately. The defense is shaky, and the goalkeeper doesn't gives me much confidence in the clean sheet here.

Re: UEFA Europa League > August 20th & 21st Well, Dinamo performed well enough for me, I've found value in Dinamo not to lose... Should have been more determined... Dinamo delivered. Sent from my LG-D855 using PL Forum

Re: UEFA Europa League > August 20th & 21st Partizan players went on strike and refused to train on 13th of August because they haven't been paid since April. Also the club owes them money for two last seasons. After that they did travel to Niš and beat "Radnicki Nis" by 4:1, and Partizan does look good, but the question about team discipline and money lingers over there... Maybe they were promised their payments if they qualify and earn money from UEFA?

Re: UEFA Europa League > August 20th & 21st
Alessan' date=' what criteria have you used to conclude this way?[/quote'] Dinamo (Z) has a good record in EL qualifications, last seven years they are playing group stage in EL or even CL. That is some expirience, on the other hand - Petrolul is a "new club", which was in second Romanian league until a couple of seasons ago. Dinamo did good in the away leg on most of those fixtures. Dumitru Mitu (ex-Dinamo Romanian) stated that A. Mutu is not leaving Petrolul, so that rumor was untrue. However, I don't see 2.20 as a valuable price on Petrolul. -
Re: UEFA Europa League > August 20th & 21st
Just to add something from a different POV on this one... Dinamo (Z) players are almost twice the worth of Petrolul squad. It doesn't say much, but there is a difference in class. If AaB didn't played shockingly good in Zagreb - Dinamo would be now in the Champions League play-offs. Petrolul is a level below. A. Mutu, the star player of Petrolul is 35 and really not in the form of his life. Also, he is maybe moving to Fiorentina so maybe his mind won't be in this match. The things moving the scale in Petrolul's advantage are a sold-out stadium and the 2:0 win in friendly match two months ago. Petrolul may have the advantage in the first leg, but the price of 2.2 is rather short, all things considered.Petrolul Ploesti eliminated Victoria Plzen in the last round, a very good performer in European tournaments in recent seasons. Petrolul have a good coach in the face of Razvan Lucescu, former Romania NT coach. The only reason why Zoran Mamic is the coach of Dinamo is because he is the brother of the club's owner. Last season at home Petrolul beat Swansea and drew with Vitesse. They have yet to be defeated at home in European competition. Dinamo seemed very demotivated in last season's Europa League after being knocked out from the Champions League. They were knocked out from the Champions League again this season. A win for the yellow wolves. -
Re: Ligue 1 Orange > August 15th - 17th Steve, no disrespect to anyone, but you really are the main reason I visit this forum. This is a great writeup, and believing in Lille's advantage in quality and expirience I'm going with Lille DNB @1,50 with Bet365. With full draw cover it is a decent punt for a 4-fold...

Re: Ligue 2 > August 8th & 9th Thank you, Meatman, excellent night with Ligue 2

Re: UEFA > Champions League > Tue 5th & Wed 6th August 2014
"But this ship cannot sink!" goes the line. And then... Dinamo cost me some money last night, they were poor through the whole match.I think you tempted fate there ... :lol -
Re: UEFA > Champions League > Tue 5th & Wed 6th August 2014 DINAMO (Z) - AaB Last weeks fixture held a good value on "Dinamo away win" @ 2.90 - AaB was clearly overestimated and set as a favourite in that match. Dinamo won, although with a healthy dose of luck. However, today there's an opposite situation. Dinamo's win is priced 1.50 - 1.55 which doesn't offer much (if any) value. From a Croat's point of view - Dinamo will qualify, Dinamo should win this game, but... AaB looks determined to play their best and they were better for some parts of last weeks match. The weather is shitty and rainy here, the pitch is far from ideal, and it will be hard for Dinamo's players to use their technical superiority and higher personal class. Dinamo will be more than happy to score one goal, knowing that they won't concede 2 from a squad that lacks class up forward. The game might be closed early, with Dinamo banking on the away win. A decent attacker Duje ?op recovered from an injury is set to make an appearance for Dinamo in the first 11.

Re: Europa League Third Qual Round First Leg - Thurs 31st July
Well, you have some things wrong. This team lacks couple of players that played against Inter. Also, that match was so irrelevant to Inter that most of the squad was their second line-up. Milevskiy is a joke, banned from the last two teams he played for, out of form, they've signed him because he was cheap. Hajduk is in a terrible form, coach can't get his players out of this confused state of mind, their defense leaks an all positions. Losing to Dundalk at home is a bad way to go to the next stage. Their loss 4:2 to Rijeka was an additional blow to team morale. I don't see how they could make a positive result today. It would be good for Croatian football if I'm wrong, but, my money is on Karagandy today...Hajduk (4.60) to beat Shakhtar Karagandy Hajduk will be fired up for this clash and will not give up without a big fight. They've signed former Dynamo Kiev star Artem Milevskiy a couple of days ago, so even though the Ukrainian lacks both form and professionalism these days, this move surely suggests that Hajduk have enough motivation to do well in this tie and pass into the next round. Their young offensive players should be able to cause Shakhtar all sorts of troubles, just like they did by beating Inter Milan 2:0 at Giuseppe Meazza. Probable lineups: Shakhtar Karagandy: Mokin - Malyi, Djidic, Maslo - Paryvaew, Konysbayev, Vicius, Pokrivac, Kirov - Finonchenko, Topcagic Hajduk Split: Stipica - Mikanovic, Maloca, Milic, Jozinovic - Bradaric, Andjelkovic - Kouassi, Caktas, Maloku - Gotal -
Re: Europa League Third Qual Round First Leg - Thurs 31st July
Just too add my opinion on this... Hajduk Split is in ruins. Poor squad selection, financial problems, low confidence, everything just piles up... They were beaten heavily in Rijeka, 4:1 at halftime, several heavy mistakes by their defenders, Rijeka could have them beaten more heavily, but they played the second halftime in a lower gear, saving themselves for their EL match. Now the coach Tudor and their board are in serious problems after this (very poor) start of season (0-1-1), and after almost being eliminated by irish Dundalk in the last round. With some draw cover Shaktar (K) should be a no-brainer.Shakhter Karagandy v Hajduk Split Think the odds on Karagandy are decent here and with draw cover they are well worth a play. Hajduk look vastly overrated to me like they were last season. Shakhtar Karagandy DNB - 1.83 - winner - 5 Points Shakhtar Karagandy - 2.45 - 32red - 3 Points -
Re: Champions League Third Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 29th & Wed 30th July AALBORG BK - DINAMO ZAGREB These odds still confuse me. Dinamo Zagreb is an expirienced squad with some great individuals (Soudani, Ademi...) and highly motivated after big investments in the squad for this years shot at Championship League. Why are AaB favorites? Aab is, as much as I see it, a decent squad, without any player standing out, they play with a lot of short passes, are good at set pieces, and... That's it. No long balls, no fast strikers, no relevant european expirience (last year they were beaten by Dila Gori in second qualifying round). And their (maybe) best player Kusk was sold to Twente. OK, disciplined, decent squad. I feel very comfortable taking punts at Dinamo not to lose and Dinamo to win. They won last 4 competitive matches, aren't missing anyone except for Junior Fernandes, and they have El Arabi Hilal Soudani playing his best football after returning from the World Cup. I would even take Soudani to score. Dinamo (Z) not to lose, 1.50 (BET365) Dinamo (Z) away win, 2.75 (BET365)

Re: Bundesliga II > 16th - 19th August
Great shout, an easy win with a nice price. Hvala, komšija!Energie Cottbus(2.11 at Pinnacle) to beat Aalen However, IMO, the price for HW is definitely way too big considering the fact that Cottbus are by far the better side in overall, plus they're traditionally bit of a force at home. Player for player, they're simply superior to Aalen in all lines and I have really no idea where's the catch when it comes to offer for this match!? -
Re: La Liga - Sat 17th August
I find this "tip" a bit surprising. Predicting an outcome att 1.01 odds is like predicting a sunrise tomorrow. Just saying -.-FC Barcelona v Levante UD = Barca or draw -
Re: Ligue 2 Preview 2013/14 Meatman - simply the best! Thanks, Steve, this is exceptional piece of work...

Re: UEFA Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round 1st Leg > 1st August I've picked Swansea to win (Bet365) because I see more skill in their team, and I can't forget the 4:1 loss that Malmo suffered against Dinamo Zagreb last year. They don't seem to me like a side that can defend well, especially in the european away matches. Swansea (still coached by Laudrup) should put away a couple of goals, even if the Malmo tries to play defensively and to close the game.

Hello everybody, just a couple of things to say about the new season in Croatian First League: 1. NEW FORMAT - Only ten teams in the First League this year, 4 matches against each other, so there will be 36 rounds. 2. OLD FAVORITES - GNK Dinamo still holds way too much quality, most probably - they will win the 9th title in a row. New players (Soudani, Jr. Fernandes...) show quality in these first couple of matches. 3. COMPETITON FOR THE 2nd PLACE - HNK Hajduk, NK Rijeka, RNK SPLIT and NK Lokomotiva Zagreb are all set to finish in the top half of the table 4. RELEGATION - Last team is relegated, 9th team is playing the second ranked team from the Second League. (ATM - Hrvatski dragovoljac and Osijek look like the weakest teams this season) 5. VALUE - Similiar to the past season - Lokomotiva Zagreb holds decent value, with good quotas on them Vs. both weaker and stronger teams. Since they were unluckily stopped in EuroLeague by Dinamo Minsk, they will be better rested in next weeks than Hajduk, Rijeka or Dinamo I will try to write more about each team and their start of the season before the next round of the championship (next one is the 4th round)

Re: Championship > September 22-24 I've took Wolverhampton @ 2,20 (Bet365) The price is dropping, so I see them at evens (or 1,90) prior the kick-off. I'm taking them because I believe their morale is very high following the wins over Ipswich and Leicester, they will try to capitalize them by taking the third one in a row. At the moment Peterborough doesn't look like a squad capable of stopping an in-form team. If the home team doesn't come up with some heavy inspiration (or hidden class) I don't believe they will get anything against the Wolves. The price is rather good, and I hope that the Wolves are getting on a winning streak (taking 3pts here and against out-of form Sheffield W. next week).

Re: Champions League > September 19th
Seems legit! :nanaFollowing that line of thoughts, my picks are Man.Utd /Half time/Full time = 1/1 (1,80 @Bet365) and Shaktar /Half time/Full time = 1/1 (1,61 @Bet365) -
Re: Npower Football League Championship > 18th / 19th September I went with the gymboy34 shouts, took Leicester WIN & Wolverhampton NOT TO LOSE, and a sweet double it was. Thanks mate, good writeups!

Re: Champions League > September 19th Valencia just reached 9.0 @ Bet365, with Bayern as low as 1.35 which is strange to me. I believe that "Valencia not to lose" shows some value @ 3,0 (Bet365). Looks like Bayern is todays "public bet" along with Shaktar and Man.Utd and the price on Valencia looks pretty good to me.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > October 25th & 26th My Luton bet just got "downgraded", I was about to pay @2.0 and it fell to 1,90 with Bet365 only ten minutes before the start... The market must have loaded a lot of money on Luton just before the game...
