  1. Re: Champions League » Dec 08 Chilleini and Buffon are both out for Juventus i have read this morning. Huge losses, both very important to the side. For me, i'll be going for low stakes on Bayern WIN @ 3.65 (Betfair) For me, this game could go either way, but i see Bayern just edging it, mainly because of the outs for Juve. Too close a game for me to put high stakes on this one, but GL to those who do.

  2. Re: Champions League » Dec 09

Do Manchester United have any defender left to play with? :lol Neville and Brown went off injured at the weekend. Evans, Vidic and Ferdinand missed Saturday's fixture. Will they play. I think over 2.5 goals could be a great bet. Currently 2.16??? yes, 2.16 with BET365....
Especially given both sides attacking capabilities. Looks a great bet.:ok
  3. Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th I'll just do my pick's quickly. Short explanations. 2 Pts Perth Glory WIN @ 2.30 (Bet365) Team news: Brisbane will be missing Mckay in midfield, as well as Reinaldo up front. All indications are that they will play a 3-5-2 again. Perth Glory will be missing influential defender Chris Coyne. My reasoning for this bet is mainly because of Perth's strong form at home, beating Sydney at home 2-0 last time out. Brisbane are very hard to predict under Postecouglou atm though. Prediction: Perth 2-1 Brisbane 1 Pt on Over 2.5 @ 2.05 (Bet365) I'm basing this bet on the pre game comments of Ange Postecouglou. The Brisbane roar coach, indicated a very attacking mindset. 1 Pts on Tommy Oar First Goalscorer @ 19 (Bet365) The youngster has been in top form lately. He has a lethal left boot, and $19 is tremendous value. He was at $7 with the TAB. GL

  4. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 03

3 Pts on Gala - Pana Over 2.5 @ 2.10 (TAB):( Good pick there Nicko^^. Gala are the second highest scoring in the europa league, averaging 2.75 goals a game. Whilst in the away leg they were able to put 3 past Pana. Their front men of Baros, Nonda, Kewell, Lincoln and Elano are some of the best attackers in the europa league, and should cause the Pana defense plenty of problems. Also, first place is well and truly up for grabs in this game, so both should be going for the win. 1.5 Pt on PSV - Sparta Under 2.5 @ 1.77 (TAB):D PSV have been a fairly conservative team, and whilst Sparta have been a relatively free scoring side, away from home in endhoven you can expect them to be a lot more defensive. Like they were in their last away game against Kobenhavn when they lost 1-0. All 4 of PSV's home win's have been 1-0. Whilst the Sparta coach has apparently hinted that his side will come to defend. 1 Pt on Fulham - CSKA Under 2.5 @ 1.97 (TAB):D CSKA have a very strong defense, whilst Fulham's attack has not exactly been potent. Fulham will be missing Nevland through suspension, whilst there two main strikers Johnson (groin) and Kamara (knee) are both major doubts. CSKA will be coming to defend, although Fulham should be good enough to get a win but there is not really any major value in that. I can see this game being 1-0 either way, or even a 0-0. And 2 Pts on that in a treble @ 7.32 (TAB):(:( GL everyone:hope
Well done on the guys going unders on the Gala game.:ok
  5. Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th 3 Pts on Melbourne WIN @ 2.25 (TAB) Anything over evens is great value for Melbourne with the current form they are in. Matthew Kemp is an important player in terms of melbourne's style, and their was some suggestion that he would miss through injury, but my mail is that he will start. Melbourne should be too strong for a Wellington team that was very unimpressive against Brisbane last week. Melbourne have also been the premier side away from ome this year. Prediction: Melbourne 2-1 1 Pt on Adelaide - Newcastle result: DRAW @ 3.30 (TAB) Adelaide will be desperate to turn their form around, whilst Newcastle's confidence will be high on the back of their big win against Sydney last week. They have a very tactically astute manager in Branko Culina, who seems to be very adept in negotiating the toughest away trips in the A-league. Because of the tense situation surrounding Adelaide and the pressure their manager Aurelio Vidmar is under, i predict this one to be a low scoring, tight affair. With the draw the most likely outcome.:ok Prediction: 1-1 GL:hope

  6. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 03

Allthethings certainly made a strong point recently, with the Highest Paid Over ideas... The highest paid Over 2,5 Goals in Europe tonight was in Boulogne @ 2,39, Salzburg Over 2,5 shot up to 2,11 an hour before the game... Today the highest paid Over 2,5 Goals seems to be in Istanbul @ 2,18 and I will take some of it - both teams are steady on the top of the group and relaxed, relatively easy games coming on Sunday, a long history of Turk-Greek rivalry. I also trust Galatasaray in Europe much more when they are away, in other words PAO will have their chances too IMO... Over 2,5 Goals, bet365, medium stake GL

  7. Just had a quick look at the odds. An early bet for the major game of the round. 3Pts on Melbourne WIN at home to Gold Coast @ 2.05 (TAB Sportsbet) Melbourne have begun to return to their best form which is the reason they are currently sitting a top the table. Gold Coast will be travelling to Melbourne without defensive regulars Bas Van Den Brink and Kristian Rees (both suspension). Will write up more later, but that is the one bet that stands out atm.

  8. Re: Australian A-League (21st-22nd of November)

3Pts on Over 2.5 @ 2.00 (TAB):( This bet would have paid off in Melbourne's last 7 games. With Melbourne currently boasting the second worst defence in the league. Roar coach Ange Postecoglou has said he will be targetting their weak defence, which signals an attacking mindset at home. Combine that with Melbourne's lethal counter attacking play, two of the best goalscorers in the league, Hernandez and Thompson. Also don't forget the 3-3 thriller earlier on in the season suggests form on the goalscoring front between these two teams. 2Pts on Melbourne WIN away to Brisbane @ 2.50 (TAB):D:D:D Melbourne are coming off the back of a 4-0 thumping at home, but still sit at second on the table so a price of $2.50 appears good value against a Roar side sitting 3rd last. I usually go and watch Melbourne train during the week, and this has persuaded me to bet on them. They were looking very sharp with a high level of intensity between the players. Also, Melbourne have always been a great 'bounce-back' team. When they lost 3-0 to Sydney a month ago, they went on a three match winning streak, beating both Perth and Newcastle away, and Adelaide at home. They have some big name players returning from injury (Nicky Wardand Robbie Kruse), whilst they have been virtually unaffected by the international break this last week. With star playmaker Carlos Hernandez not being called up to the Costa Rica set-up. 0.5 Pts on Brisbane/Melbourne HT/FT @ 21.00 (TAB):\ Melbourne are often slow starters. Can see them dropping an early goal and coming back in the second half. Worth a small bet. Prediction: Brisbane 1 - 3 Melbourne:hope:hope:hope

"So we need to respect them but, at the same time, understand that we're at home and we've got to get three points." Roar Coach

  10. Re: International Friendlies (14 Nov 2009) 3Pts on Brazil win @2.10 (TAB Sportsbet) I don't usually like betting on friendlies but with the injuries England have atm this seems like a bit of value. Also the fact that the game is being played in the heat of Doha should help Brazil. England usually struggle in the heat, whilst the humidity should also be a factor. Brazil 3-1

  11. Re: Melbourne Cup 3rd Nov 2 Pts each way on Mourilyan I'll preface this bet by saying i'm not a huge fan of horse racing, but it is the cup so you kind of have to have a bet. The only reason i'm picking mourilyan is on the advice of a mates old man who is heavily involved in the racing industry. So best of luck to all, now off to enjoy the day. :beer

  12. Re: Australian A-League: October 30th- November 1st 1PT on Perth-Melbourne over 3.5 @ $3.00 (TAB) Really hard game to pick this one, Melbourne's form in Perth would suggest a comfortable win for the glory. But given they just put an end to their similarly poor away record in Newcastle with a 3-1 win, i wouldn't be surprised to see them break another away hoodoo. Especially with Perth coming off the back of two tough away trips in Queensland. But then again, Melbourne tend to shoot themselves in the foot with these games, and their defence has tended to cough up some very weak goals against the glory. That's why i am tipping the Over 3.5, Melbourne's leaky defence combined with their lethal counter-attacks should spell goals in this game. And the Over 2.5 market is still strong @1.95 (Bet365). I'm also going to put a small stake on the Perth-Melbourne ht/ft @ $29(Bet365). Melbourne are very capable of coming from behind at the half, as they proved with that v. impressive 3-1 win at Newcastle. Also the fact that it will only be 23 degrees should be a help for Melbourne, who traditionally struggle in the stifling heat.

  13. Re: Australian A-League: October 30th- November 1st

1PT on DRAW CC-ADE @ 3.35 (TAB Sportsbet):D:D:D Two relatively defensive teams. Could see the two cancel each other out in this one. Central Coast have been miserly conceding just eight goals this season while Adelaide have let 15 through. 1PT on NQ win vs GC @ 5.45 (TAB Sportsbet):D:D:D:D:D A fair bit of value for a team who is facing a side who just lost 6-0 to Wellington. A lot of talk of player unrest has surrounded the GC this week, whilst their chairmans decision to cap the crowd's at 5'000 has prompted talk of fan boycott's etc, with today's crowd expected tp be one of the lowest ever in the A-league. Can see the away side causing an upset on the back of their win last weekend. With Fowler + co in form, this presents some very good value.
