Ok, I'm going to try and emulate what Hodgey has done. Its given me alot of motivation and confidence. I'm going to start with a bank of £94.02 After 7 selections, I'm going to bank 5% and carry on. Aim is to reach atleast 200 bets. 001. Lay Barcelona v Leonesa 0-0 Odds of 38 (1.027) Stake of £93.98 to win £2.54

Re: Rubbish tipsters.. Yes alot of the prices are incorrect, although many are incorrect in our favour. For example, I ran my system with The Sun tips yesterday laying. I had 3 results that lost. One I layed at a price of 6.00, and on besttipping.com it said it was backed at 5.7. This is ok I guess. The two other results are even more interesting. Layed at 3.75, but backing price on website was at 4.5. The other was layed at 6.60, and had a backing price on the website of 7.0. So clearly the results obviously arnt as accurate as you would imagine, but with Betfair, price can change for many reasons. I lay bets 10 mins before race. (bot does it).

Re: Rubbish tipsters.. I've actually got a bot that would carry out the bets. What I would do is make my picks for the day, aim for 1% profit lets say, and then the bot would stop. Also, I can choose at what point to make the bet. Could be 10secs before or could be 10 mins. Makes a bit difference. At ONE point during the day, I theoretically should be in profit most days because of the max profit filter. Obviously, I will have a max loss setting aswell (around 10%). Looking through the results and seeing the graph, I really cannot see how I would 'break even'.. Also, there are many ways to approach it. I'm thinking maybe using Maria staking plan? Or would fixed liability be better for this sort of thing? Cheers.

Hi all. Was thinking to find the crappest Newspaper tipster around, and decide anything they backed I would lay. I've found http://www.besttipping.com/?action=newstips&method=tipster&id=15 which is Postdata (racing post). Backing their selections for the past 350 days at level stakes at £50, I would be down over £50000. If I layed the tipster selections, would this implie I would EARN roughly the amount that I would have lost if backed?

Re: Do you remember September 2005? The thing that makes this completely different to horses is that there are less scenario's that could occur. For example, Barnsley v WBA, laying Barnsley at 9.0 is madness to be honest because its a football match and as you know in football matches it only takes 1 mistake and the underdog could win 1-0. Your backing that Barnsley wont win at odds of 1.13 - There isnt any value in that. With horses think of how many different scenario's could occur. There could be 12 different runners. A horse at odds of 9.0 to lay would be far safer. Basically, find a horse system to work with and tweak that. This wont work. (sorry)

Re: '1.01 = 2' odds system I basically made 500 bets overall in segments of 50. 50 bets at 1.014 is the same as 1 bet at evens. I won 8/10 '50 segment' bets. I was betting on lots of different scenario's such as double chance (when a team is winning), under 6.5 goals (for example) when its a low scoring team). Plenty of others aswell. Some were of odds at 1.005, and others were at like 1.025, averaging out to around 1.014.

This system is based around the 'steady drip' system that occurs frequently in the Glory Hunt section. Betting at around 1.014 and going all in every time, then it will take 50 bets to double your bank. Its remarkable easy to do this infact. I use bet365 in-play odds. To put it into perspective, 50 bets at 1.014 is equal to betting on a single game with odds of 2.00 I tested it with banks of £5 (to turn to £10), and I won 8/10 times. This took me 10 weeks (1 week = 50 in-play bets). Imagine having a system with odds of evens and recieivng 80% strike rate? I'm going to start and use it with banks of £50 soon (once I get my student loan ofcourse!) Just wanna know if you guys have heard of people trying this? I'd like some feedback on the concept of it.

Re: Lay Home Win / Draw Hi PERFECT, I was looking at your previous thread of 'Home Win' and I was wondering if you think your system is actually sustainable? You made over 100% profit from when you were doing it. Do you reckon that profit would have continued? I was thinking of something pretty much the same as you. Home team odds below 2.0, steamers (price dropping) and in league position better. Have you continued using that system?
