  1. Re: Is the crunch biting??

Newcastle Grosvenor Leg will be dropped as of next year, thats for sure At the time i left the casino, there were: Today : 42 started and 14 left Tomorrow : 51 pre registered
Do you think ? 150 odd in total I understand, however there is the £1k at DTD next week also the wsop starting, and as already been mentioned, its a long way to trek for southern players, but a massive poker base in Newcastle as you obviously know so I think that maybe they (GUKPT) just have to rearrange the timings, maybe its a better early year venue, I think that it would be a shame for them to drop Newcastle completely.
  2. Re: APAT Dublin 30th May drinking is for wimps, never catch me doing it at an apat event.:zzz apparently these events have a day 2, but as they say seeing is believing, so I don't believe it

  3. Re: APAT Irish Online Championship

bloody hell Mike' date=' what happened :([/quote'] yeah, early evening beers and poker don't mix. Went crazy with AQ on a board of Q,10,6 however my opponent must have been drinking too as he kept reraising my reraises with 66. I eventually got it all in with AK pre, hit the K on the flop but obv opponent had AA. Lasted all of 23 minutes with in a 10K deepstack :dude, gutted still wasnt first out. GL if your still ok, I shut it down for my own safety shortly afterwards.
  4. Re: £50k at Dusk Till Dawn 11th April 2009 Dealt trash all day and never really built any chips, Richard I expected more from you :tongue2 I went 107th in the end, 30 minutes before the end of day one, ran AJ into a monster J10, 10 on the turn. At least the lad who took me out ended up on the FT. Congrats on your 2nd place Spike

  5. Re: APAT News Nice to meet you Julio, if only briefly. As always nice to have a natter/drink with WASP. I've yet to meet Neil and George but sure our paths have crossed previously, hopefully next time. Got to be chip leader at one point in the tourney and felt I was playing pretty well, but lack of opportunities meant that I dwindled to 28.5K when blinds at 2k/1k a200, took a gamble with 109o when utg and pushed hoping to pick up the 5k in the pot, thinking that I would only get called by AA,KK maybe QQ as stillplenty of fold equity. Which of course happened when the guy 2 on my left discovered AA. A flopped 9 game me some hope but I couldnt get lucky and went out approx 47/162. Spent the rest of the night beating myself up. Popped into DTD on the way back and finished 11/122 for a very small cash in the 25+5 so not feeling as bad now. Will be trying to qualify / clickfest for Dublin but have got the £300 at DTD next weekend so thats the one I'm thinking about first. All the best

  6. Re: APAT News I see Mr Jones on the list too for the ME. Was hoping to get into the HORSE, but was at DTD last night and the wife "convienently" forgot to enter the clickfest for me :crybut as it happens it looks like the day 2 of the ME and the HORSE are on at the same time anyway due to restrictions being set by DTD. So if any of you guys get deep in day 2 and I don't, and you don't fancy multitabling please consider me if you fancy selling your HORSE ticket.

  7. Re: APAT News

I have a seat ;) (still on sale btw) Going to reg for the Omaha and the HORSE as well :ok
Glad your in as I was wondering who else other than me was going to provide the value :tongue2
  8. Re: DTD Tonight: So near & yet... Nice result, congrats. Agree with the point about the starting stack, it just doesnt seem enough, and what were the levels ? 20 mins / 24 mins, again a little too fast for me, it always seems the case that youve got to double/triple up very early to be in with a chance to play. Infact even the £50 games only give you 4000 starting if I recall correctly. But with the numbers and the fact the games has got to finish within a certain time, I suspose I can't complain too much, for the buyin its still a good well run tourney in a very good environment.

  9. Re: DTD victim of it's own success tonight Copied ===== Hi All Please be aware that this weekends £300 Deepstack with £50,000 Guaranteed at Dusk Till Dawn will have a cap of 333 that will not be raised no matter how many turn up . This has been publicised here and on our website for a month with pre reg available online at DTD Poker until 7pm tomorrow night then live registration will open at 7.30pm. Last months cap was 270 and we increased it to 315 due to the numbers that turned up , we also allowed alternates for 3 levels with a final entry figure of 360. The result of this was our normal £50 comp at 8pm had to be self deal . We are not going to allow this again . We get an average of 250 players a night ( last night we had 310 ! ) , several are regular cash game players who should not have to wait for a table. The £300 at 7pm will use 37 tables and the £50 at 8pm will be allocated 9 tables , both events will allow alternates for the first two levels only. The remaining 7 will be available for our cash game players. All tables will be dealer dealt. Last month we hit the 270 cap within 20 minutes of opening Saturday at 5.20pm. You can follow the number of entries on our home page. Currently we have 105 and expect this to at least double tomorrow night. http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/ Please make sure if you are playing you either come tomorrow night or be there for 5pm Saturday , i will update this thread with the numbers as they increase. Cheers ACES
