Does anyone know what the Arsenal stand-in keeper is like? Vito Mannone is set to make his CL debut tonight and hasn't played too many first team games yet.

I'm pretty sure it was a pre season friendly I saw him play in. Can't for the life of me remember who it was against. But he was very shakey, I don't think he conceded but he didn't inspire confidence at all

Apparently Debrecen are missing Rudolf (striker) and Varga (midfielder), both important I'm told. They are 5th in the league and have won their last 8 in all competitions. Hope that helps :ok

I didn't think United were such massive favourites and Chelsea struggled at times against Porto. But Arsenal is the one I am least confident on, I wouldn't advise backing them at those odds at all and your bet may be a better option

Possible Starting XI for Arsenal at Liege: Mannone, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Clichy, Diaby, Fabregas, Rosicky, Song, Bendtner, Eduardo. (source: goal.com) Ok, team's got injuries and absences, but still line-up is very competitive...

Unsure whether Wenger will risk Rosicky tbh, knowing his policy on nursing players coming back from inury I would not expect him to start

I mean you'll take care of them probably at home with a fitter squad.[/quote'] To be honest with the squad available and considering how poor our group is, a draw wouldn't be bad. I don't know too much about Standard but I understand they are missing a few important players and are a very different team from the one that almost knocked Liverpool out last year. The odds are too short on Arsenal imo, I really don't like thinking about what kind of midfield we're going to put out if Wenger sticks with the 4-3-3. Maybe Song, Fabregas and then Eboue centre mid? with Bendtner on the right and I don't think Rosicky is ready to start so probably Diaby on the left again. Also Mannone in goal doesn't fill me with confidence at all. I havn't seen him play for a while but my vague memories of his performances weren't great. Saying all that that team should still beat Standard (even if it would struggle massively in the prem) but I think the odds are too short and no, a draw would not be a terrible result at all imo

This means their odds are a lot lower for backing and higher for laying. Do you not get better odds by doing an accumulator of double chance bets with a bookie? Don't know which provides the better odds but it could be a better way of doing it Good luck with the glory hunt also

Crisis. ? I mentioned before after that game, Utd Missed a Penalty in that match, and they had enough chances to get aleast a draw. Burnley have been abit lucky though at home this season. They have got away wiht a couple of 1-0's. Opposition teams missing Pens.. I think MAn Utd had defensive probs in that game, No Ferdinand, or VIdic against Burnley. Since then Man Utd haven't put a foot wrong beating Arsenal and Spurs.. I wont change my mind on this game.. Man utd victory all teh way

I was being sarcastic when I said crisis, because clearly they will challenge for the title this season. However, they were outplayed by Arsenal and were very lucky to come away with a win and they were also very poor against Birmingham in the first game of the season. They were much better against Spurs but I can still see weaknesses in the United team and they seem to be fairly hit and miss thus far, though I'm sure they'll improve as the season continues. Saying that they should still have too much for Besiktas, but as it's so early in the season and Turkey is a very hard place to go in Europe I won't be betting on it.
