Re: Tennis : French Open (23rd May to 5th June) Ian, don't know what tbw.com is (tried going there and it says webpage under construction, so I'm guessing tbw is some kind of abbreviation), but I'd guess the official site live scoreboard is faster. Doesn't seem to be in real time, but updates pretty quickly, maybe every 30 seconds or so. It's on www.rolandgarros.com

Re: County Cricket Just in case you'd not seen, Kent have signed Justin Kemp for the rest of the season, and will be available to play against Surrey.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 21st May 2005 On a side note, can someone please tell the female presenter that the reason she has a microphone is so that she doesn't have to shout all the sodding time.

Re: Tennis : French Open (23rd May to 5th June) Well Serena Williams has pulled out of the event, so it's looking even better for Justine Henin-Hardenne now. The draws have been made, they are on www.rolandgarros.com Interesting draw for Nadal, potentially faces Gasquet in the 3rd round, Gaudio in the QF and Federer in the SF.

Re: Tennis Masters Series : Hamburg (9th - 15th May 2005) Wasn't Puerta the one who had some kind of suspicious goings on in his game against Melzer a few weeks back? Did that all turn out to be nothing in the end?
-
Re: Tennis Masters Series : Hamburg (9th - 15th May 2005) Well Roddick managed to break back but lost the set on a tie break. Currently 6/5 on Bet365.
-
Re: County Cricket Swooperman, if you're with Bet365, you can get Hants at 8/11 and Notts at 11/10.
-
Re: German Open (tennis) Hmm, that one didn't go according to plan, Pierce won 6-2 6-2. Still, since I only posted it about 15 minutes for the start, hopefully no-one had time to take my advice!

Re: Master Series : Rome (Tennis) Edtkh, if you rate Kiefer's chances then you might also be interested in the handicap offer on Bet365 - they've got Kiefer +7 at 10/11.

Re: Master Series : Rome (Tennis) ColMar, there's a live scoreboard for this tournament on the tournament homepage http://www.telecomitaliamasters.it/info.asp It seems to update in realtime - at least it updates pretty much as soon as I see the point scored on Canal+, which is showing the tournament over here in Spain.

Think Likhovtseva is worth backing today against Mary Pierce. Although Pierce leads 5-4 on the H2H, Likhovtseva has won the last 3, Pierce hasn't beaten her since 2000. This is also only the second of their meetings where Likhovsteva is ranked higher - Likhovtseva is 18th, Pierce 27th. 5/4 with Bet365 seems a good price to me on Likhovtseva. Have to be quick though, as it starts in 15 minutes.

Re: Embassy world snooker http://www.globalsnookercentre.co.uk/files/Results/res04_5/05EMBWORLDstage4CrucNotesSEMI.htm Doesn't update particularly quickly, but gives you the frame scores and a little bit of commentary with it.

Re: Embassy world snooker
Not sure about that Pobby, it seems to be updating pretty much immediately at the moment. Unless of course the images I'm watching on Eurosport are also delayed by about a minute :lol .It's probably up to a minute slow so don't use it to bet on Betfair! -
Re: Embassy world snooker Jon, the handicap means Williams has to win by at least 4 frames. In other words, if he wins 13-8 or better, the bet would win, if he wins 13-10 or less, the bet loses. Not sure what happens if it finishes 13-9 though.

Re: Embassy world snooker Paul Ross, you can get Higgins at 2.20 with Bet365

Re: F1 San Marino Grand Prix Have just put half a point on Button at 33/1 - just on the off-chance that in trying to overtake, Schumacher causes some kind of accident and takes himself and Alonso out. Unlikely, but you never know.

Re: Tennis. W/C 18.04.05 I reckon Grosjean can beat the handicap (+5) in the final tonight against Roddick in the US claycourt championships. Grosjean beat Roddick the only time they met on clay (although that was back in 2002). In their other 4 meetings over the past two years, Roddick has won all 4, but only won 2 of those by 5 games or more. On any other surface you'd have to favour Roddick, but on clay, I think Grosjean can make enough of a game of it. Grosjean +5 is available at evens on Bet365.

Re: County Cricket Well Warks managed to hang on in the end, finished on 233/9, with the match a draw. The other Kent bowlers didn't do too bad in the end, Cusden and Cook managed 2 wickets each.
-
Re: County Cricket I'd agree with you on Warwickshire not losing - I'm yet to be convinced Kent have got enough strength in depth in their bowling - Khan and Patel seem to be doing OK, but not sure about the rest. Not sure Kent have got enough runs on the board just yet either, although I've no idea what the pitch is like, so don't know whether 347 would be a reasonable target to set or not.

Re: Tennis. W/C 18.04.05
I'll second that, great stuff Edtkh:clapTerrific call on Wawrinka Ed. You're back on form. Thanks, Rasher -
Re: County Cricket Hi Swooperman, I'm potentially interested in betting on these matches, but I haven't really followed very closely what's gone on in the pre-season so don't feel I can really comment much at the moment. Once the season's a few weeks old, and I've had a chance to see what's been happening via Cricinfo (not easy keeping tabs on the cricket from Madrid:lol ), I might attempt to contribute my thoughts. Good luck with any picks you've taken for this week (well, apart from Warwickshire, being a Kent man myself:tongue2 ).

Re: Tennis Masters Series : Monte Carlo (11th April - 17th April) Well, with Ferrer now 4-5 down in the 2nd set, I make it that the bet's a winner, even if he doesn't win another game, he'd still only be 5 games down on the handicap. Hope Coria comes through now for those of you on him :ok.
-
Re: Tennis Masters Series : Monte Carlo (11th April - 17th April) Ok, thanks for those views, edtkh. Have gone with the bet anyway, but only very small stakes for a bit of interest while I wait for this evening's football. Good luck with your treble, here's hoping for a 6-4 6-4 for Coria, or something similar :hope

Re: Tennis Masters Series : Monte Carlo (11th April - 17th April) Just a thought on the Coria v Ferrer match. Coria was very unhappy yesterday with the quality of the court, and for a while in the first set it seemed to affect his game. Today he's been put on the same court (Court des Princes). Personally I have no idea whether the court was of poor quality or not, but Coria certainly thought it was. Could that act as a kind of leveller between the two players? Ferrer +6 is available at evens, and although Ferrer has lost by more than 6 games in his last three meetings with Coria, I think this time he could get close enough to win on the handicap. Any thoughts?

Re: Tennis : French Open (23rd May to 5th June) For those interested in Hanescu, could also be worth considering the handicap option with Bet365, Hanescu (+7 games, but bear in mind the tie is also included) to beat Nalbandian is 11/10.
