    Re: Football Trip Well first bet came in, Panama winning 3-2. Rather than just doubling up each time I think it would be better to bank some when I reach a certain amount, say £100. If I win £110, I bank £100 and carry on with £10 that way I have a chance of building a healthy bank. When I lose I shall start again with an opening bet of £20.     Re: BBOTD Monday 6th June COMPTONSPIRIT 9.00 Pontefract £1 win Comptonspirit seems to be a late developer, four of her five career wins coming last season as a 6yo.She certainly seems best on a stiff 5f, having won here, twice at Carlisle and at Bath in the past. Staying on well at the finish when a close third at Leicester last week, 5lb claimer Jemma Marshall rides. She has the perfect inside draw and she seems to be reaching the sort of form that saw her in the winners enclosure on a regular basis last summer, having improved her finishing position race by race in her five starts to date in 2011. :nana:nana:nana:nana:nana:nana:nana

    3.40 Hamilton 6f, Class 5 handicap with 11 runners and I'm favouring one of the outsiders. There has to be doubts over Supreme Spirit who lost at odds on lto whilst Ingleby Arch is better at Southwell & regular pilot jumps ship. Klynch is the hot fav but 3 wins have seen his mark rise sharply and doubts with new jockey up top. It leaves me with a horse in double figures. Jobe (11/1 William Hill BOG) - On his 2yo form, this one would win with me riding it!! But since then, his form has tailed right off but, in my opinion, has raced 3 times this year showing plenty of potential that a win could be just around the corner. Back in 2008, finished 3rd in the Gimcrack and was only 5L back in the Middle Park. After starting with an opening mark in the 100's, Jobe started this term off just 82 but after 3 runs has been dropped a further 8lbs to 74, now facing a 0-75 for the first time. In each of his 3 runs this term, has stayed on really well and was going on at the finish. Ripon was the venue for the first 2 runs, a course that strongly favours front runners so I'm not too disheartened by the midfield finishes whilst he was slowly away at Doncaster, was switched to the rail but finished really well. I'm not certain he needs an extra furlong but this stiffer track is most definitely in his favour, having faced easy tracks so far in 2011. The juice in the ground is another huge plus too, with him having recorded a win 2 years ago over C&D on good to soft. Conditions therefore are ideal, with softish ground and best trip of 6f. Stable is in cracking form too so that just adds to this ones' prospects. 11's is way too big and I'm really hopeful of this one returning to form and visiting the winners enclosure for the first time since 2009.

    1.45 chester its very rare i look at a race and see a potential gold mine stareing me in the face .....usually in these situations i either win big or the whole thing explodes and i finish last (or last but one ) but this race is one of those .... captain bertie 90 + crown counsel 85 belle royal 90 weapon of choice 120 gd fred willets 150,150 take a look at this chart and tell me why captain bertie is even money fav and fred willets is 14/1 !!!!!!!! (faints ) .they are saying this fav is nailed on but i dont see it personally .....fred willets has achieved the 150 rating twice on his last 2 runs and has keiron fallon on board today ........like i said this is one of those races where either the fav will find some superhuman improvement and win easily or fred willets will reproduce his recent form and blast them off the track at double figure odds ,if this goes in it will be one of my finest speed ratings to date :hope

    Re: bbotd 4 may 4.05 Chester Tom dascombe has 2 runners in this race but the form of Ari golds maiden race is working out really well, finished 8 of 14 runners behind the now 101 rated Cai Shen, the 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th are all rated 80 plus. So wouldn't need to have improved that much to be competitive in this race. Ari Golds 0.5pts ew SP :ok

    The team i was most confident about is the one who let me down, they took the lead as well. Thought my luck was in when Birmingham scored there winner in the 92nd minute. Oh well, there's always next week :)

    Re: the charity trail I usually do a £10 football accumulator every Saturday once the season starts, and have decided that because the gift-shop site is such a good idea I'm going to donate half of whatever winnings i get. Any winnings i get will buy a gift or gifts at the end of each month. Lets hope we have a good season and get them winnings rolling in :ok
