  1. Re: Boxing - Haye V Abdoul (Fri 21st July) Hey guys chill out a bit!! Paul I was not after eventing just stating I had a small bet that helped me stay awake during the fight. £2 on a 4/1 shot is not anyhing worth bragging or after eventing about. I reckon if Haye had as much built up agression as you he would have knocked out Abdoul. Peace to all fellow punters Joe Mavis

  2. Re: Soap Idol! Okay there does not seem to be a lot of interest in this anyway my bets are on I have backed Lee Ottaway who is Bombhead from Hollioaks I saw him in Falaraki singing in a bar he has an exellent voice (although I was pissed up at the time) anyway the 7/1 did not last long and I did not get on but got 7/2 on betfair, he will not be this price after 2nites show, I reckon he will be odds on.

  3. I hear there is a new show starting on ITV soon which has soap stars singing, I belive the format is like X factor. Does anyone know if there will be a book on this on Betfair or other bookmakers? The reason I ask this is that when I saw the advert for this show ITV I reliased one of the soap stars had sang in a bar when I was on my holiday, this person was a very very good singer/performer and although I have not heard the others sing yet I believe this person will have a very good chance of winning. Depending on the odds I will be looking to place a very large bet on them. Thanks in advance for any replies, Joe mavis

  4. Re: I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Okay am going to have a small dabble to make this show more bearable to watch, I read an iteresting thread a few months ago from someone on here that was trying to back the whole fiel at big prices to ensure an outcome. His reasoning was that the prices on these types of events can fluctuate so much from one day to the next. So you back the outsider at a big price and then wait for the next person to be out of a favour and then back them at big odds am not looking to lay any bets so am hoping to get all contestents at big prices at some time of the show. The only worries are that some favourites may never slip to big odds also the other scenario is 'any other' may come into play?? Am setting my benchmark at 30/1. First bet: Jilly Goolden at 44/1 Small stakes only reccomended.

  7. Re: Snooker - WSA Grand Prix - starts Sat 8/10 I fancied Higgins to do well especially with the kind draw he got, was looking for some extra confidence from fellow people to back up my hunch oh well 14/1 winner for me anyway. As for Murphy I think he was very very lucky to win the World championships last year, and would not be suprised to see him fade out of the top 16 in the next couple of years. He has already started moaning about not getting the best tables and about all the 'kicks he is getting' my point about arse licking is you tip two 5/1 losers Mr Ross and everyone is saying well done.My 14/1 and nothing said. This place is supposed to be a community and I get the feeling people including myself are not made to feel welcome, we must iron out this clicky atmosphere here as this would make the punterslounge a much more friendly and profitable place, just my opinion for what its worth, but I bet (no pun intended) many others would agree. 8. Re: Snooker - WSA Grand Prix - starts Sat 8/10

Anyone know how well John Higgins is playing? I feel if he beats Mculloch he will get at leat semis as only the overated Murphy stands in his way is 14/1 a value bet on Betfair???
A 14/1 tip that is going to pay at least the each way and not a well done in-site things dont change in this place once again its not what you tip its who TIPPING that counts, top site but if no apreciation is ever given out then your going to lose a lot of good traders/gamblers. From Joe the man who makes the bookies shit there Y fronts........
  9. Re: Formula 1:British Grand prix Yeah De ja Vu Paul Ross, only backed a 13/1 winner this time we are getting nearer to each other eh, your right etherev i did lay a 6.6 but still showed a profit 13/1 was real value and thats the name of the game eh boys. Another winner tho Paul well done mate a winner is a winner, you seem pretty good at picked drivers to finish in the points, any secrets???:clap

  10. Re: Formula 1:British Grand prix Montaya down to 6.6 on betfair now, I have laid my bet at 6.8 which means I have got a profit whatever the outcome of the race, nice work for doing f**k all work, am looking to do the same with Barichello if his odds drop after a good qualifying session. Also backed Massa to finish in the points at 3.5 on Betfair look to trade it back at around 2's if he too can get a good grid position after qualifying.
