  1. Re: Lucky15 Long Shot HT/FT Just done some analysis based upon the Season 2005/6 results. Based upon this it appears that the 1/X option is more common, more so in the top two leagues but the lower two divisions tend to favour the 2/X option. The overall figures were: Matches: 1801 Draws: 529 (29.4% of matches) Score Draws: 365 (69.0% of draws) 1/X: 108 (29.6% of draws) 2/X: 93 (25.5% of draws) Premiership Matches: 326 Draws: 68 (20.9% of matches) Score Draws: 41 (60.3% of draws) 1/X: 17 (41.5% of draws) 2/X: 6 (14.6% of draws) Championship Matches: 501 Draws: 156 (31.1% of matches) Score Draws: 104 (66.7% of draws) 1/X: 35 (33.7% of draws) 2/X: 17 (16.3% of draws) League 1 Matches: 488 Draws: 150 (30.7% of matches) Score Draws: 103 (68.7% of draws) 1/X: 22 (21.4% of draws) 2/X: 35 (34.0% of draws) League 2 Matches: 486 Draws: 155 (31.9% of matches) Score Draws: 117 (75.5% of draws) 1/X: 34 (29.1% of draws) 2/X: 35 (29.9% of draws)

  2. Re: Lucky15 Long Shot HT/FT I am also a great fan of the HT/FT bet - made a bit last night on Arezzo-AC Milan (X/1) :) Just wondered what criteria you use when selecting your choices - from the look of it you appear to favour matches with high home and away odds or those matches where the away side have slightly lower odds to win. Do you try and take into account any other factors - current form or likelihood of goals? Looking at the spread it appears that the odds of 15 is fairly standard across the board with +/- 2 variation between matches (although you do get the occasional extreme of 11 or 19).

  3. Re: Ladbrokes Million Pound Coupon Here's the list from my local Laddies. I've included the odds as well (draw in middle): 2/5 Liverpool 11/4 Man City 6/1 4/6 Aston Villa 23/10 Middlesbrough 7/2 8/11 West Ham 11/5 Sheff Utd 10/3 11/10 Fulham 11/5 Reading 2/1 11/8 Stoke 11/5 West Brom 8/5 4/5 Plymouth 23/10 Leeds 11/4 11/10 QPR 11/5 Coventry 2/1 8/5 Barnsley 11/5 Ipswich 11/8 11/8 Burnley 11/5 Birmingham 8/5 7/5 Inverness CT 9/4 Hearts 6/4 8/11 Derby 11/5 Leicester 10/3 6/5 Doncaster 9/4 Brighton 7/4 5/4 Gillingham 11/5 Rotherham 7/4 6/5 Yeovil 11/5 Scunthorpe 9/5 9/5 Dunfermline 11/5 Aberdeen 6/5 6/4 Sheff Wed 11/5 Cardiff 6/4 11/8 Motherwell 11/5 Falkirk 8/5 5/2 Bolton 11/5 Arsenal 10/11 11/10 Newcastle 11/5 Portsmouth 2/1 11/8 Man. Utd. 2/1 Chelsea 7/4 They also guarantee £10000 if you get 19 out of 20 correct

  4. Re: S.a.a.w Never used this type of bet before so a couple of questions: 1. Is the ratio always 80/20 or is that dependent upon the odds of the match (you quoted 1.5 in your example). 2. Given that the return on the double would be 2.25 (using 1.5 again) could you build in a small third bet to boost the return if the double comes in (obviously reducing the return of the single winner).

  5. Re: International Friendlies - Nov 15-17

Lawrie Sanchez is likely to have a new-look Northern Ireland side out on show for the visit of Portugal on Tuesday evening. Sanchez has included three new faces in his squad to face Luiz Felipe Scolari's men including Dean Shiels, Brian McLean and Peter Thompson. Shiels and McLean are at Hibernian and Motherwell respectively, while postman Thompson, who plays for Linfield, remains hopeful of winning his first cap.
Peter Thompson has been attracting a lot of interest from bigger clubs as he has been scoring goals for fun in the Cup - recently scored a hattrick in three successive games. His average is pretty much a goal per game. Would love to see what he could do at a higher level.
  6. Re: France U21 v England U21 You can still get odds of 4 for a straight England win (I got 4.3 earlier) which is a great price for a game against two very evenly matched sides. France have two injuries - defender Gael Clichy and Jeremy Toulalan while England welcome back midfielder Gary O'Neil from injury. This is key as he will perform more of a defensive role allowing Kieran Richardson to move out wide. After the weekend just gone (Argentina, Australia and NZ) whos to say France cannot be added to the list followed by Pakistan tomorrow :ok

  7. I am interested in the Eircom League and often don't find any posts (or thread) for up-coming matches. I have started threads in the past but I would like to know how you go about posting the odds pages that appear at the top of the other League threads - with clickable links to odds-comparisons.com etc. Is it easy to do ?(I have a rudimentary knowledge of HTML tags, for example) If it is complex and beyond the skills of mere mortals - do you mind people who start threads without this feature at the top?
