To back it dont you need a layer. therefore the answer to your question is both. Someone or several people layed it at 1000 and someone or several backed at 1000. With the total being £128. Is that right?Just a quickie, how can you tell how much of that £128 was 'backed' or 'layed' The way i read betfair it just says 'traded'. Just wondered. -
Re: Mentality for being a pro Something I would say Billy live Pro's dont just play Touny's. A lot of them play live cash games. I have heard several stories of Pros not getting games anymore because of the way the play. Normally play badly to begin with then up the stakes to stupid money and go away winning.

Re: Mentality for being a pro Its an interesting thread. i often thought i could make some good monney playing poker online. I do quite well at my local casino playing in the tourny's and I am well in profilt. However i cannot play internet poker. I like the challenge of being able to read people and I cant do that over the internet. I have the greatest respect for anyone makes money on internet poker but its not for me. I play very occasionally on internet but it's just for fun and only play with winnings from Local casino.

Re: Lay the Racing Post Always like checking your selection WFTE. during my days off i will lay horses myself. Usually go for one of the 3 favourites in each race that I think will lose. Ususally go for staright win to be honest might start looking at the place aswell. Not doing to bad at the moment but could do better. Had to use some of my winnings recently so now my bank is quite low again so its just a case of building it back up. Good Luck today. Well done in the first again today. I personally went for Long weekend so good start for us both.

Re: straight flush I was at local casino last night playing £25.00 polt limit holdem. Started off pretty poorly not having anything to play with and had to have about 4 re-buys. As the break approaches and the re-buys stop i start hitting some hands and at the break I have 13000 chips from an initial 1000 so i am pretty happy. I slowely increase my bank up to 20000 chips and I make the final table and I am in the money. There was 5 of us left and I have 21500ish chips. I am big blind. the blinds are 800/1600. There is one caller and he also raises 1600. I am holding j 10 o/s. I call The flop comes 7 10 10. I am happy holding 3 of a kind. I check. He makes a bet of 10000. (He is holding about 30000 all together). I call his 10000 and go all in for my last 11500. He turns over a pair of 5's I have got 3 10's. Now i knew he would call me because he has not been playing long and doesn't really know what he is doing. I am sitting happy thinking i will be chip leader with 4 of us left and first proze of over £2000. Out comes a fookin 5 on the turn. he now has full house. Dont even remember what comes out on river but it didn't help me. Oh well I am out but about £600 up on the day but could have been better.

Take me down to a live game I know I will perform but cant seem to at home. Although going to change my style of play and see what happens. Good luck on your tourny and keep us up to date.
