Re: Kiko1983 your questions mate You have been folding for the past twenty hands then you are dealt AA, now all the books say raise with this. But it you sudenly raise after folding for so long people will think 'he's got something' and will just fold leaving only the blinds in the pot. Why not check or call to try and build up the pot. Is it considered unfair or bad play to do this? I suppose it's best to do this before the flop as then your AA may not look so good. But why raise straight away?

Re: Kiko1983 your questions mate Think this could be the thread I'm looking to tag on to:D I play in all the Freerolls i can but i always come up against the same problem. I start to run out of chips and panic!:) I play steady poker for an hour build up what i think is a nice little bank..say 3500 and the next minute i'm surrounded by sharks with banks of at least 10,000. Then its's panic time..ALL IN..and two hands later its well done you finished in 520th place. Happens every time:sad Aggressive,Aggressive rock,tight,loose..just how do you play in tourneys?

Re: Bad hands Still a very raw learner at poker,and am playing as many freerolls as possible. But in my last four tourneys have got knocked out holding two pair.I seem to thing its invincible and get suckered in every time:o Can't seem to fold the damn hand when i know i should!:@

That was a complete fluke.The best man most definitely did not win:o but at least i can pay for those poker books from Amazon now. Only just started to learn how to play poker but i learnt a lot tonight...some sharks on the PL that's for sure!:D Thanks to Billy Hills for setting it up and boy will i have my arsed kicked the next time.

Re: Bet365 $5k freeroll Only be playing poker for a week...played in this tournament last night and had my arse well and truely kicked...so much to learn:o That's after totally fluking a top 40 finish in my first ever Freeroll on the Sporting Odds site and making $4.50.:D Good way to learn though!
