  1. Re: Handball : European Championships

Croatia @ 2.00 William Hill Norway lost vs Slovenia yesterday, but they won't miss Jensen today, so Norway's defence will be a lot better. I still fancy Croatia to win though, I think that they will get better and better during this tournament, they have at least one gear left. The quality of Croatia's roster alone is almost enough to always back them at odds around evens, now that Norway looks to be on the way down after a very positive start to the tournament I like this odds even more. A tough match to expect I think, but with Croatia as winners in the end.
Just wanting to share some thoughts on this one. Norway playing at home, and when looking at the refs treatment of the team earlier, if they would get some "help" from them, this would be the game. Also this would be the game for Balic, tonight I predict he will stand up as the world class player he is. Those of his standards have a tendency to do it especially when they must! Norway will have Johnny Jensen back for this one after hi suspension, but yesterday they lost Frank Löke with a knee injury. He has been outstanding in the offence for the norwegians creating goals, penalties and 7 metres for them. He is a major blow for them... Just for the fun of it I will place a small bet on draw, knowing this is going to be big thriller. Pick: Draw, 9.60 @betsson
  2. Re: Handball : European Championships No bets in the EC for my part. There is too many "ifs" and "whys" for my sake. Being the last match before some teams will continue their action while other is finished, players tend to sacrifice the most to reach their goals. Denmark, as you mentiones G:G, and France would have been my probables tonight though...

  3. Re: NHL betting system Looks like a productive system you have found here JC!:ok Seems like you have solved the way to get a profit in the nhl... Have to say that I still believe in deep research, but your system shows that it could be done otherwise, at least until now. Best of luck to you and congrats on the oscar by the way...:ok

  4. Re: Handball : European Championships Spain is one of the teams that has not gotten the greatest of attention in this EC. They are by far one of the title contenders with big players like Entrerrios and Iker Romero which really could destroy any team if they are in the right shape. The team started slow, but has sure gotten their speed up lately. Yesterday they faced France, which is counted as favourites, and lost 28-27. A match they easily could have won. They sit in 5th plce with only 2 pts, but have Sweden and Iceland left. This is a must-win game for them if they will have any hope of reaching the semis. There is no doubt that they have the quality needed in the team. Sweden on the other side have played both good and not so good matches so far. They drawed 27-27 against Hungary yesterday, a match they probably should have won knowing that Spain and Germany are the next teams the face. They have been through a shift in generation, only goalie Tomas Svensson is left from the team which was superb in th 90ies. They are sorely dependent on getting good games from Kim Andersson, Markus Alm and Tomas Svensson. If they struggle the team seems to struggle. They are in the fight for semis too, but as their coach Linnèll said, they have reached their goal when playing in the middle stage. Today Spain must win and with their growing form they do it and cover the handicap.. Pick: Spain -2.5 1.85 @betsson

  5. Re: Handball : European Championships After being thrashed by Denmark yesterday Croatia need to make an impact tonight. Losing by 10 goals might be severe in this close EC where goal difference might be the key for getting through or not. They have many star players with Balic, Laskovic and Metlicich as the most important ones. Yesterday, they gave up knowing that Denmark could not be reached. A choice which could be crucial for their continuation i EC. They need a big win today, in a group which is very open with 2 matches to come. Montenegro is lost in the bottom with 0 pts. and has only their own agenda to play for. They tried hard yesterday against Slovenia, but it was not enough. Many experts has said that Croatia is not the same team as before, but the tradition in reaching far in big championships they always has had. They still have a very good chance reching the semis, but they need to correct their mistake yesterday. That being said, Denmark was brilliant throughout the whole game. Still knowing that these two nations have not the best of relationships I expect Croatia to go out in full force to fix their goal difference and win at the same time. I do think they will cover the handicap and Balic (maybe the worlds best playmaker) wants to get to the semis. Pick: Croatia -5.5 1.72 @betsson

  6. Re: Handball : European Championships Slovenia sits as an outsider in group 1 with 2 pts. so far. In front of them is Poland (3 pts.), Denmark (4 pts.), Croatia (4 pts.) and Norway (5 pts.). There is 2 matches left to play for every team and Slovenia has Norway and Denmark left. Yesterday the did what was needed to take down Montenegro and will use all the power they have left on the last 2 matches. Today they desperately want to win, but when facing host nation Norway the task will be tough. Norway played against Poland last evening, ended 24-24. A very hard game where 4 red cards was dealt out and many questionable situations was probably misjudged by the refs. Anyway, it led to the disqualification of Norways defence boss Johnny Jensen for using his mouth when he should have been quiet, very quiet. He will not play tonight and that is a huge blow for the norwegian defence. Also their goalies was not as good as before. Steinar Ege saved 5 penalties, but had severe problems with Polands hard shooters. Otherwise it seemed that many of the unexperienced players in the host team struggled with keeping it calm when they had to be. Don`t think Slovenia will win it cleanly, but they sure could cover the handicap. Expecting another tight, hard fought game in the EC. Pick: Slovenia +4.5 1.96 @betsson

  7. Re: Handball : European Championships

Hungary -2 @ 1.81 Pinnacle Hungary got a draw vs Sweden, a pretty strange match, Hungary were up 16-14 at halftime, then Sweden scored turned things around and were up with four goals and just a few minutes left, but Hungary pulled themselves together and were very close to win, but Sweden got the equalzer very late. Iceland lost 35-27 vs Germany, they managed to keep up well in to 2nd half, but then the difference in class showed and Iceland proved to weak once again. I'll go against Iceland for the third time this tournament, imo Hungary are clear favourites, I've seen both teams play vs Sweden, I feel very confident in backing Hungary with this pretty low line.
I do follow you on Hungary tonight. Motivation lies on them while Iceland has no chance of making a further impact for their sake. With 0 pts. there is no hope reaching a qualificaton for the next olympics either. Reports also says that motivation is very low in the squad when knowing there is not much they can do. Hungary has got a great chance to get some pts chasing the semi-final spot. A line of -3/-4 could also be of value if its found, seriously thinking Iceland would not bother making this a close one.
  8. Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 14 - 17/1

HPK - Assat I heard that Assat sold their best goalscorer Saarel to Lukko and Lammers went back to USA. HPK won their last two home matches against Jokerit and JYP. HPK to win
If this is true, the value on HPK rises without a doubt. Maybe you can post the link or something to confirm the information? When you put it like that its a rumour, and rumours are not always the true fact...
  9. Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 14 - 16/1 Well, as already mentioned there are not many good ones avaliable tonight. I do agree with G:G and his thoughts about Huddinge-Växjö, but I do think that Hammarby has a fair chance at home vs. Nyköping though. The home team has played rather well recently. Winnings aganinst Huddinge and Växjö in their last three should be something to listen to. Yeah, they are the baddest team in the league, placed on a desperately last place trailing the next team by 14 pts. Their goalie and defence is in shape and might get an easier work-out tonight when facing a Nyköping which only have an avg. of 2.2 goals scored the last 10. Another point which get me thinking of a home win is the unsure financial situation in the away team. They struggle towards time from being almost bankrupt and that is not a notion team want to have in the back of their heads. It has been looking somewhat better lately when local forces have decided to stand up, but still they are far from safe. In a result of the situation their best D Jussi Heikkinen has been picked up by Björklöven. He being 4th placed in points amongst all defenders in the league he will be a major loss for Nyköping the rest of the season. Going against the "pros" on PL on this one...:) My pick: Hammarby, ML 2.19 @betsson

  10. Decided to start the thread now, sensing there might be some activity here tonight and tomorrow. Hoping I did not step on any toes doing so...:ok

  12. Re: Euro hockey leagues: 8 - 10/1 No time for research in my part in the euro leagues this evening. Just came home from work and are about to leave again. Will follow you guys on Ingolstadt and Ceske with some stakes. Thinking Norway would provide some way off results today in matches which is on paper pretty even... Have also chosen to take a double in the finnish sm-liiga, based on form and trends: Kalpa - Blues, away win Ilves - TPS, home win Total odds: 2.86 @betsson Good luck to all!:ok

  13. Re: Euro hockey leagues: 8 - 9/1

Jokipojat - HeKi 1.period 1 1,95 17:30 heki terrible away. last 10 matches away they lost 7 in first period. their away record is 2-11 with big - GD.on the other side jokipojat much better side at home and cant see any reason why is this odd so high. seems to be any easy first period win
Wondering where you found the 1.95 line? When looking at it now you can`t get more than 1.40 at the bookies... At -1.5 you could find it though, guessing that it was the bet you were thinking about?:ok
  14. Re: Euro hockey leagues: 8 - 9/1 AIK - Leksand AIK have recently had a change of coaches and afterwards they suddenly have picked up form. With 5 wins on their last 6 they have the play-off spot in near vicinty. Especially at home they have been confident lately with 4 wins in a row. The reports from the squad is that morale is high and they want to build on it. Expected at the top half throughout the season they finally seem to fill the supporters wishes after a terrible start of it. Leksand have been outstanding so far. Being the best team in every part they do now lead the league by 11 pts. on Malmö. With the former Nhl star Ed Belfour between the pipes the road towards elitserien is starting to be a formality. Still I sense they might be relaxing a bit the last matches and really needed to struggle to take home the victory against Vaxjö in the last match (3-2 ot.) Now they face a team which is flying high and need to be focused in every part of the game. It is also worth mentioning that they failed recently when they are on the visit. Losing against mediocre Sundsvall and Västeras in 2 out of 3 away matches do not reflect the quality in the team. There is defintely value in the home team this evening. Pick: AIK, Str 4.30 @betsson Pick: AIK, ML 3.55 @betsson

  15. Re: Euro hockey leagues: 8 - 9/1 Huddinge - Oskarshamn Huddinge seems quite lost in the bottom half of the table with only 27 pts. in 30 matches. There is 4 pts. up to Nyköping and another 4 to the next team. Hammarby is behind them and are even more out of it. Their form is terrible. The last 9 has ended with losses and against lowly Hammarby in the previous match the lost 4-2, them getting their 3rd win of the season. I read a supporters view on the team and he expressed his opnion in pretty harsh words about the teams effort against Hammarby. He actually gave them a "Full Metal Jacket" thrashing and I guess he was "kind of" upset when he wrote the article. Oskarshamn are battling for a playoff spot with 3 other teams so every point and match-ups are important for them. Their form lately aren`t the best, but by far not the worst either. Going 4-0-3 the last 7 games is good considering losses to 2nd placed Malmö and in-form AIK. Today they have a very good chance nicking some well needed pts. from a heavily struggling Huddinge and the odds is not bad at all. Pick: Oskarshamn, Str. 2.22 @betsson

  16. Re: Euro hockey leagues: 8 - 9/1

G:G , your odds are now in Fractional (better known as English odds) normally this must be mentioned , that the odds are fractional and lots of bookies give the other 2 options Decimal (better known as European odds) or American odds. You can change this normally by clicking on Fractional or on the arrow just near it. Then they must give the other options of odds. and then you click on decimal and get "normal" odds like we it;)
The problem is that they offer only options how to view the odds when you have a single game on screen. When you have all matches lined up as we are used to the fractional odds is the only one avaliable...:eyes Hope they can fix it soon, I am european and been thinking decimals all the time. Feel no need to start learning the english way at the moment... Or maybe I just have to!?!
