Re: Lions v Wellington, Wednesday
:rollin While we are looking at form, why not pick the fly half that won Wales the Grand Slam, not the one that lost england 2 games. ;) Form cant just be one game in New Zealand, especially when the opposition is so varied. Hodgson played against a weak team, Jones played against the strongest team they will play (other than ABs of course) EvanHodgson at 10. He's got the tactical kicking from hand and a touch of King Carlos about him. Go with form. -
Re: Lions v Wellington, Wednesday
hodgson? :eek he was shoved into the easiest game of the tour because they know he suffers under pressure, he has absolutely no chance of a AB test start (baring injuries). Peel will start, cussiter bench. You seriously think BOD wont play? Aint gonna happen, theres something to him, unlike GW who showed his lack of recent test rugby in the last game. Lewsey will play at FB, Imo shanklin and thomas wings, with a fullback like lewsey (good tackler) thomas can roam about a bit, like he did today. Cueto was awful in the game i saw him in, flattered by getting a try given to him (he ran over the line and kick when to his hands). Must say though, robinson and wilkinson, pretty cack today... They have got some ground to make up to start the tests. What standard, evtherev? Dwayne Peel, starter. Wilkinson, spooked for some reason. Stephen Jones not much better. Hodgson at 10. He's got the tactical kicking from hand and a touch of King Carlos about him. Go with form. Henson. He's unhappy somehow. But good. Put him outside the cleverest back. Greenwood. No O'Driscoll. Shane Williams on one wing, Cueto or Shanklin on the other. Thomas at full-back. No Jonny, no BOD! And no knighthood for me. -

This is more for my benefit than for anyone elses, i find it hard to stay disciplined or keep track of my bets and profit/loss on particular sports. Each I will do a few value single bets, if enough takes my fancy. With a starting bank of only 15 points and each bet being 5pts this will hopefully get off to a good start tonight Value bets Houston at Orioles (2.4 betfair) Milwaukee at Tampa Bay over 9.5 runs (1.99 betfair) Starting bank - 15 pts

Re: 8:05 Windsor **** sake, apologies for language, backed that one to win and to place at 16s and 3.4

Re: 8:05 Windsor Nanton in the next....fallin in class after two reasonable efforts, top weight, 3.8 on betfair for the place 1234 Evan
-
Re: 20/20 Cricket Australia v England wow, just absolutely no sense of responsibility in the aussie innings, feel sorry for anyone who backed them, they just didnt take it seriously after a couple of wickets fell. That being said, that attack shouldnt be able to get them out... Evan
-
Re: 8:05 Windsor apparently a few had a bad passage, roman quintet got through for 3rd, had a bit on at 3.4 on a place for him on betfair.
-
Re: 8:05 Windsor i like roman quintet in that race, obvious reason is that he has fairly close form with high ridge. Not sure whether i will back it tho
-
Re: 2.45 Brighton was looming up about 2 out but the hill killed it off, finished well back in the end
-
Re: 2.45 Brighton yeh with ascot @ york tomorrow im surprised my £5 ew didnt move bring it in a little :D
-
Re: 20/20 Cricket Australia v England aussie bowling looks good tho pie chucker, kaspa never got hit for glamorgan playing this version and i doubt any of the others will today, having said that I cant back Ausies for a jokey game at 1.5, stay away

Zonic E/W Check it out guys, never saw this horse run, been off the track for 250 days and therefore may need the run. Good breeding and was with stoute. If you look back through the horses past races seemed to be a bit lively before racing, and missed the break when third. Cost more than most the field put together and i cant see it (as the outsider) finishing behind all of these. Worth a try at 16s Evan
-
on another racing forum, when someone asked what he thought of each way betting. He replied with something along the lines of "Who do you think invented each way betting, where you HAVE to put a portion of your money on the horse winning", its made me think a bit. Theres a lot of interviews on the site, but the forum itself isnt very active
Full interview This may have been posted before EvanWhat do you think of Each Way betting. ? Unless its against an odds on fav I think its a bet for those who want to reduce losses rather than maximise profits. If you bet each way, ask yourself who thought up the concept? My guess is that it was a bookmaker, not a punter who invented each way betting. The bookmaker forces the punter to have a win bet on a horse in order to have a place bet. That means he fields win money for outsiders that help him to balance his book. -
Re: 20/20 Cricket Australia v England little boys have been playing 20:20 for years, so have adults, my dad used to play it in 1970. I get annoyed when the ECB suggest it as their inititive or invention....

Re: Canadian Grand Prix
Fisc ruined renaults chances really, made alonso go mad.dbl blowout again??? Alonso was the only driver to finish all races so far and actually he also got into the points so this is the first race he will not finish - due to his own fault that is to say:( -
Re: Lions v Wellington, Wednesday
Indeed, however kevin morgan played a pivotal role at full back and showed what he has been promising for years (of an injury plagued career). Thomas hasnt looked himself for a while and is probably in the lions squad as a bench player, very versatile in terms of position because of his strengthIf he wasn't injured he'd of palyed no questions. Alfie is a legend in Wales and did play some part in the Slam in the early stages of the competition.
