  1. Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup Wow... it is happening all over again- Carlton fans thinking they'll make finals after that performance. They need to take a long hard look at what they were playing against, they should have been looking at a massacre, but just scraped through. Don't get me started on the commentating by Walls. He is in love with his precious Carlton team, barely even acknowledged the other team. Also, according to him, every player is a STAR or will be a STAR. Sheesh.

  2. Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup Yeah, I wouldn't take much out of that match in terms of Collingwoods performance. They've been in South Africa and now Dubai, they would be flat. Adelaide did play well, scott thompson a standout. As far as winning the Nab Cup I'd be on Roos based solely on them needing money. I can see them beating the Dogs, but then they should come up against Brisbane, which is a tough match. And I have no confidence there. Cartlon looked a rabble over in South Africa. It's Brisbane or Roos for mine. Both are exciting young teams with a lot of heart.

  3. Re: AFL Brownlow Medal (Sept 24, 2007) That Hodge bet definitely looks the goods Ash. Jonathan Brown will come soaring late, but his first half simply wont poll enough for me, also perhaps not enough wins. I've got a few bets placed;- Pavlich top 5 @ 4.50 I think either Brown or Pavlich will come in 5th, it will go close. Honestly dont see many players in freemantle that could take votes from Pavlich, he was a shining star in a team of duds. Judd to win 'interstate midfielders' @ 4.00 (Black, Goodwin and a couple others). Only Black and Goodwin are the danger in my view. Goodwin has shown to poll badly in previous years. Judd on the other hand polls very well and had an exception first of the year. Wont poll any during his injury but I think he will reach 12-15 in the first half. Should hopefully be enough to see off Black, who has had some great games while will give him a some 3's but overall a poorer year from him, with Adcock and company stepping up. In regards to who will win, its out of Ablett and Harvey for mine. A quinella on them could be the way to go.

  4. Re: AFL Football - Finals Week 2 (September 14th & 15th) Bookies have a new market up. Where will Judd end up? Carlton 1.30 Melbourne 8.00 Richmond 8.00 Essendon 10.00 Collingwood 14.00 All good odds except Carlton. Money to be made if you honestly dont see him going there. Melbourne could be a player. Edit: Wow! Collingwood right into 3.50! Essendon in to 7.50 and Richmond and Melbourne move out slightly. I honestly don't see Collingwood getting him at all though, maybe new developments I haven't heard about.

  5. Re: AFL Football - Finals Week 2 (September 14th & 15th) Biggest mover is- Pick 3 + Kennedy from Carlton. As a West Coast supporter I'd be hoping for pick 20 to be thrown in that. But realistically you never get values worth. It really all comes down to where Judd wants to be though. Edit: With melbourne, essendon, and possibly collingwood expressing interest looks like Carlton might be having to up their bid. I imagine all 3 of those could beat pick 3, 20 and kennedy. Will be an interesting trade week.
