  1. Re: WPT Mag & bet24 freeroll 25th March- win a GSOP LIVE Grand Final package worth $

I really have to start buying this magazine as some tournaments are such a huge value ;) What is the best option for Slovakia? Any advices?
Gemic, We do distribute in shops and casinos across Europe but not Slovakia at the moment. You can subscribe for a year, however, by going to www.wptmag.com/special
  2. This should be good - couple of side events too that look pretty decent. And the main event is only €1500. World Poker Tour is excited to reveal dates for the inaugural WPT National Marbella Poker Festival which will be taking place from 19 – 27 April 2012 at the Casino Marbella, in lively Puerto Banus on the Costa del Sol, Spain. The WPT National Marbella Main Event, sponsored by PartyPoker.com, will run from 20 - 24 April will be the central feature of the festival. The televised Main Event will be for Spanish distribution and Final Table will also be available to watch via live stream on PartyPoker blog. WPT National Marbella, as the third European National event to be held in 2012, offers players the prestige of playing a WPT calibre event, with an accessible buy-in of €1500 + €150. Players can also rely on the WPT expertise which offers a unique national structure designed by internationally renowned tournament director Matt Savage. As part of the festival there will also be a wide range of side events and cash games with buy-ins suitable for players at all levels across the ten days. PartyPoker and bwin pros Tomeu Gomila “Amatos”, and Jordi Martinez “Alekhine” have already confirmed their attendance at the Main Event. As 2012 hots up, why not journey to one of Europe’s most desirable holiday destinations to play poker amongst some of the best players in Europe. Players can pre-register online for the festival’s through Poker Traveller and also take advantage of their exclusive hotel deal at the H10 Andalucia Plaza resort hotel, adjacent to Casino Marbella where all of the action will be taking place. Players can benefit from a unique €125 stay-and-play package, including accommodation, breakfast, free WiFi access, plus a variety of exclusive casino discounts and free voucher giveaways. Away from the tables there is a diverse range of activities to entertain. With some of Spain’s best beaches right on the door step, the lively nightlife of Puerto Banus and the traditional charm of Marbella old town, this truly is one of the most desirable destinations in Europe. Players have the chance to indulge in the best gastronomic delights Spain has to offer in the centre of Marbella or sip local beer in one of the many bars along the Paseo de Maritimo. The summer opening of the popular Nikki Beach club also coincides with the festival so players will definitely enjoy the vibe of the most fashionable location on the Costa del Sol. www.marbellapokerfestival.com

  3. Re: WPT Magazine & Everest Poker $2500 Freeroll Feb.12th 8pm GMT Apologies to everyone who deposited and wanted to play. The min. runner rule was something i only heard about later on (about a day before the tournament). However, we have spoken to Everest and hopefully will be rescheduling the freeroll to add some proper value to the prizepool. As for Lock, if any PLers are still waiting for prizes, please PM me or email me at [email protected] and I'll look into it. Jon

  4. Re: WPT Mag & Titan Poker $3k Freeroll - 22nd January 2012 8pm

I'd be happy to read pg. 79 if I could get that magazine here... sigh :( Actually was able to pick up one copy ~1yr. ago while travelling (but in B.C. Canada still) but have never seen one anywhere since. Last one I read/purchased had an article in it by Jared Tendler (think it was a yr. ago now?). Maybe I'll find one of my friends across the pond who can read that page for me.... maybe I'll even ship them the money to pay for the mag.
we actually run a canadian issue and US ipad issue, Von Donken. Canadian issue is print. Some freerolls will be run over both UK and Canada mags (an upcoming Bet24 freeroll, for example).
  5. Re: WPT Magazine & Everest Poker $2500 Freeroll Feb.12th 8pm GMT

$2500 shared between the top 10 players. freeroll is open to all WPT Mag Readers and i expect a couple of thousand non readers :eyes you will have to deposit to enter though, even if you have an existing account, between Jan.19th and Feb.8th using code ****
it does require a deposit so i'd hang fire on that prediction of thousands of entrants. (watch me eat my words now)
  6. Re: WPT Mag & Titan Poker $3k Freeroll - 22nd January 2012 8pm Hi, We're looking at all options but thanks for the comments. Some sites like big numbers, others want "quality" depositing players, but there should be a middle ground, i agree. A subscriber freeroll or added value tourney is something we're already looking at. Keep your eyes peeled. Jon

  7. Re: Ask Liv Boeree!

Does she feel it was appropriate to say "wow' date=' theres a lot of fat people on this final table" when she was commentating on the UKIPT in Nottingham, Gareth Walker won and was one of the players who overheard it.[/quote'] she refused to answer it
