  1. I don't understand what you mean but betfair are owned by Flutter Entertainment who own other bookies. Would be surprised if Betfair begin the Starting price Odds for other bookies to also start with. But I could be wrong.
  2. Yep perfectly said. Odds adjust as punters place money. The interesting part is the odds move before match and during the match. But most people lose money over time. So perhaps it is better to use smaller money on underdog odds. i don't know who sets the Starting price before punters start changing the prices, but I find it interesting that all or most bookies are all in the very close proximity. It is like they copy each other.
  3. Okay i didn't see this post before as was busy. In theory that is consistent and excellent, but sport is unpredictable and there is no linear way to success with punting, it is ups and downs. Upsets occur regularly, just from eyesight i figure around 40 to 60% the underdog wins. Bookies odds are not actual or factual, because if bookies odds were regularly correct punting would be easy by just following their favorites. But I am sure odds are just quickly assembled numbers to play mind games, probably similar psychology to how poker machines seduce people into being tipped upside down so money falls out into the gambling industry pockets. The gambling losses actually support venue revenue just like sports gambling losses support the bookies but also sporting clubs, players, venues, probably even broadcasters, and sport hierarchy of people wages that provide the tournaments. Lots of tournaments have tiny crowds (if you can call them crowds) with 9 out of 10 seats vacant. I also think odds are often biased towards best effort performance, but it all has variables like motivation, fitness, niggles, preferences, friendships of opponents, health, desire to play at full capacity for long enough, hunger, off field dramas, court conditions, crowd support, travel etc....that cannot be entered into software, sport is live and evolves - it cannot be pigeonholed. Okay was wrong before about being slightly above breaking even, i hadn't read your post properly as was busy. But would still prefer to see dollar profit won, amount turned over, and space of time - as mentioned before. But that is none of my business, all that matters is you are happy with your system, and if it holds up will bring you confidence and success. Would even be able to sell your software as a business to make extra money. Goodluck.
  4. yea thanks Neil. I been quiet because i lost money a while ago so gradually been clawing it back. But when i go backwards i feel plenty of pressure because when downturns hit it is easy to lose big money quickly particularly when frustrated and chasing losses. Hope you do well too Neil, i enjoy reading your posts and analysis. I think when people refer to points rather dollar value they can easily hide performance ability.
  5. i will provide tips when i feel like it thanks and when i feel good about helping myself and others if they follow at the same time. I differ in that i believe good care should be given to bet selections and that this forum should be about people feeling confident and better about themselves by improving bank roll even if only slightly. I do not see how anyone can derive 11 points from the information supplied. Perhaps things would be better if neil provided dollar profit made and full amount turned over in a space of time like 3 days, a week, a month or whatever. But we all have different views and that is what being human is.
  6. software is only as good as the information it contains, and sport and players are a constant moving beast. Anyway winning 19 out of 30 at even odds is not making much money, it is slightly above breaking even.
  7. i have never heard of Bagaric before, but she speaks great english, even has an american or australian accent. Must have grown up in america or somewhere. Great tip Czech.
  8. oh well i changed my mind once seeing them on court. Will try Bagaric @2.15. And Czech is on fire so who am I to doubt him lol.
  9. Bagaric seems more of a clay courter, i won't be backing her. I will likely stay away but if push came to shove i would choose bjorklund who should be physically stronger and more experienced. But maybe her and Shapovalov are more focused and enjoying time off court because Shapovalov's game certainly hasn't been improving
  10. yep fair enough @CzechPunter, they got me worried because i had followed your bet yesterday also believing your theory. Kasatkina has been around the top ten for years which proves she is pretty consistent. Gadecki is young with lots to improve on yet.
  11. I also think Stearns @neilovan but haven't had the time to prepare for the match so will only go small stakes, don't want to lose my winnings of today. Gauff is still so young and has become so strong and quick already. Swiatek will be worrying about gauff now after having the dominant reign. I like personality, these players play under intense pressure for big money I like angst to show they really care. Swiatek is a winner with the eye of the tiger on court but is so sweet off the court. She was angry and wants to win every big match. I love angst, it creates atmosphere and theatre. Cuddles after matches is not what I like to see, I love to see real feelings, not fake stuff. Too much sport has become giggles and laughs because they make big money and don't care about a win or a loss. I want real feelings and personality, like John mcenroe. It is exciting with further instalments of rivalry.
  12. Great win @CzechPunter. I think folk should leave astute tipsters alone, instead of fanciful assumptions that won't happen. There was no reason for kasatkina to want to rest a week out from the AO. Spare me the bs.
  13. Glad polina helped me, was so close to going on kalinina but changed at last minute.i am not going on parks vs osaka as haven't prepared for it but Osaka seems very short. Have watched some of Osaka and haven't been impressed, havent seen any of parks this tournament but she seems to be smacking the ball and dominating. Could take a blind go but themn I usually end up chasing lost money.
  14. Birrell to beat Potapova at 2.52 I highly rate her attractiveness and fitness but for some reason I don't rate her tennis style much. Is too intensive and holding serve is always an issue so I will go with the home lady Birrell at her home tournament. Was really strong against navarro, although inconsistency is her problem and why she is yet to break into the top 100. Has had a career of littered injuries and perhaps not the belief which leads to inconsistency. But looks fit and should be entering her prime tennis years. Only going small stake because the best version of birrell may not show up. Potapova has better consistency due to her tenacity and fitness despite so many deficiencies in her game.
  15. Match about to begin jordan thompson to beat Michelsen @1.73 I think thompson with home support will grind michelsen into the ground in a 3 hour match.
