Awful day's racing today. The only graded race in the UK is the 1.35 at Southwell where Ghost Rider is around 4/6. Not my idea of a value bet.
Unusually, I have selected a horse in the 1.20 Punchestown. This is Magic Tricks. I left a bet open on the Betfair Exchange of £4.21 at 4.4 and it got matched overnight. If it wins I will receive a profit of £14.03. Compare this with staking £12.50 at 1.66 on ghost Rider at 1.66 with a possible profit of £8.09!
Magic Tricks is currently trading between 9/4 to 5/2 so at least I have achieved some value in market terms. Having nothing else to find I have included the horse as my Nap at 3/1 (last night).
