  1. Darran thank you for all your hard work this season what a great finish to your suite of picks Amazing. Thank you
  2. Thank you Darren for a very profitable January Looking forward to Your thoughts in February thanks again
  3. Enjoy the break - I am sure you are taking in some horse racing whilst you are there - happy and prosperous new year to you and your family
  4. Steve has the day arrived that Merthyr get back on track and record their first victory in a while against Basingstoke tonight?
  5. Two non league games today involving the teams towards the bottom of their respective leagues. We will leave the Farnborough / Gosport game alone with the home team being so inconsistent and Gosport recently having their transfer embargo lifted have been recruiting and are showing improvement. Too many ifs buts and maybes. That leaves Leatherhead v. Thurrock. Leatherhead's discipline,if they are not careful will let them down after another red card in their FA Cup defeat at Wycombe on Sunday. Thankfully suspensions do not kick in yet and play a side who have played 7 away and lost 7 away. However, they have scored in every one of their awaydays except one - at Lowestoft. They have also conceded in every first half except one - at Lowestoft and have been losing at half time in 5 of the 7. Leatherhead have scored in the first 45 in 5 of their 9 home games being ahead being ahead in three of them (14th, 24th & 10th), Leatherhead are still around 5 games behind and have an opportunity tonight, should they win to be a more respected mid table position in readiness for the push to perhaps a play off spot. Leatherhead have won their last two home games without conceding (4-0 & 2-0) (10th & 16th) and should see off 19th placed Thurrock. An attractive price of 2.63 can be had at 888Sport / Unibet for Leatherhead -1AH and that represents a definite value in my mind. One point staked.
  6. Only one game for me stands out tonight as the bookies, I can't see why, continue to let us stake on games involving Merthyr Town. Tonight continues to bring problems to the club with the below article taken from their website. http://www.merthyrtownfc.co.uk/.../injuries-hit-martyrs.../ Home form doesn't, I believe, mean a thing tonight but it is all about what Banbury United will bring. They have played nine away games winning 6, losing 2 and drawing the once. Wins against 11th (1-3), 7th (0-3), 23rd (0-5), 1st (3-4), 24th (0-4) and 20th (0-2) are very encouraging. Five of the six wins have been by a larger margin than one goal. Unfortunately, asian handicap markets only stretch to -0.5 leaving little value. The bet tonight, therefore, is one point on the European Handicap: Banbury United -1 with Skybet at 3.10 but you can get 3.30 with PaddyPower. Remember, if Merthyr win or draw its a loss. Its also a loss if Banbury win by just one goal. So we are looking for Banbury to win by at least a two goal margin Good luck if you decide to play
  7. Good luck with these D. i looked at the ht/ft market last night but looking back through their home games so far this term most of their goals have been scored in the second period with draws in the first 45. granted that today's game is a bit of an anomaly but now you have tipped it it's got to be a winner With you in all of these
  8. Its great that the oggy oggy oggy has gone out to get the crowd into the ground but rightly or wrongly after the heads up from gruja about the gamebeing available at Marathon I decided to plunge just like last week on the handicaps. First half markets are the only ones with value left and have taken one point at 2.38 at Dorchester -2.5 first half handicap and over 2.5 goals first half at 2.05 - I know there is mystery surrounding the team but given that Merthyr were four down in 20 minutes last week does give rise to the opportunity of these bets prevailing. Granted an experience keeper is down to play but surely he needs 10 players in front of him with the ability to protect. Good luck to Merthyr and all credit to the surrounding league clubs looking to assist - bucket collection at Newport County last Tuesday and Neil Warnock looking to help in some way - as well as Danny Gabbidon donating £1000 to the tax bill debt cause. Me, should this bet win today I will be sending the profit to their just giving page.
  9. Despite falling one short last night my bio-rhythms are very good and am happy to put up another suggestion in tonight's non league fixtures. Nothing has changed in my opinion of Wingate & Finchley and if the bookies' prices offer value then I am more than happy to continue to oppose them. They have now lost six straight on the road (11th, 13th, 10th, 4th, 9th & 17th) and although tonight's opponents are a relatively short distance with a local derby match at Enfield Town in the Bostik (Ryman) Isthmian Premier League I can only see another defeat. Enfield, like Leatherhead, have games in hand and perhaps show a false position in the league. They are yet to lose at home this season in the league having drawn 3 (3rd, 4th & 8th) and won 4 (23rd, 6th, 7th & 20th). I know stats are there to be broken but I am just reminding that WIngate have not scored an away 2nd half goal since August Bank Holiday Monday. The home team have scored in every one of their home games and have scored in both halves is 4 out of their 7 games Enfield have recently welcomed back into their fold Liam Hope, their record goalscorer and has been training with the squad. The club website has intimated that he may play some part this evening along with in-form striker Simon Thomas. This forum promotes a cautious approach so if you wish to invest on this game you can take the draw no bet option at around 1.80. I have taken the straight home win at 2.33 with Sporting Bet but I am severely restricted their too, so Skybet at 2.30 is my marker but you can get 2.38 at Bet Victor if you are not on their naughty list - I am.
  10. One game tonight in the Bostik (most bookies still call it the Ryman) Isthmian Premier League as Billericay Town travel to Kingstonian - actually we are returning to Leatherhead's ground for the second time in two days as that is where Kingstonian are currently based. Billericay, still smarting after their cup exit last week won their league game two days later 4-2 at Harlow and are now set to play their 5th game in 9 days. Undoubtedly, they are the champions elect and the team that everyone wants to beat. On the road they have played 6 and won 5 of them with - each win totalling over 2.5 goals. They do have defensive frailties at the back having kept only 2 clean sheets in those six games against 14th & 20th placed teams. Centre back Robert Swaine's red card in the cup replay doesn't kick in yet however Kingstonian do have a suspension at the back in Gough. Billericay's forward line has a lot of poke with Cunnington, Robinson and Theophanous and should prevail again this evening. Of Kingstonian's seven home games all but one - first game of the season - have been over 2.5 goals. They have won 4 times against 19th, 23rd, 10th & 12th placed opposition and lost twice to Leatherhead (17th) (landlords) and 4th placed Metropolitan Police. Only two bookies have priced up match result and over 2.5 goals - PaddyPower at 2.20 and Betfred at 2.15. I am restricted at PaddyPower and they let me invest 0.4 point and I am gubbed at Betfred so I took a trip to the local office and handed over 0.6 point and got evens. Tonight's bet is one point on Billericay win and over 2.5 goals in total. Good luck if you decide to play.
  11. I know that is was an energy sapping game on Thursday when Leatherhead triumphed over Billericay in their FA Cup replay but with the extra day to recover I believe that the Tanners can keep the momentum going with another victory this afternoon in their league game with Wingate & Finchley. Leatherhead's current league position is probably a false one with 5 games in hand which should, if they win them all see them well into the top half of the league. Wingate are mid-table but have lost their last five on the road with just one goal scored - one of their midfielders- Rifat - is suspended today and the club signed a 19 year old midfielder on loan from Boreham Wood earlier this week. Hopefully there will be an excellent crowd to cheer their superb victory in midweek plus the enticement of getting tickets for the next round with Wycombe Wanderers. One point on the home win at 2.49 with Marathon is, to my mind, a worthy investment Good luck if you decide to play.
  12. Thanks Darren - 4 from 7 - excellent tipping. Always worth having a small stake as an accumulator. Took trebles today and returned odds of 2.22. After the clean sweep in midweek it has certainly been a tidy profit. Thanks again With all the chatter about Merthyr this week too managed to get on the handicaps with Marathon goday at -3 and -3.5. Result was practically secured after 20 minutes Thanks everyone for the heads up Enjoy your weekend
  13. Agreed but for the purpose of my Monday night ramblings it is for league games only but thanks for the heads up unlucky to be beaten by a short head last week in Gaelic chieftain
  14. No games for me to pick for Monday so a week off Balance +1.12
