Bank is €994 so essentially back to where we started but given the massive hit the bank took on one day last week (very much against previous results) I'm very happy with that. Laying to Win; Stake €10.22 to Win €10; all records kept at BSP. In the main taking the early lay appears to be paying dividends as a lot of selections are drifting before the off. With 49 selections there's a positive % cumulative drift of 363%. Interesting trend to keep an eye on; all of the Lays that won so far bar one were all steamers; only one drifter from the morning price ended up winning.

Ouch - rough day yesterday. Bank drops right back to €965. Needless to say and typically so yesterdays 4 from 5 did not occur in any testing phase and is the worst single day loss in over a years review. Unexpected run from Marsh Benham there; the recent run of layed horses trading low and coming up short worked against for us there, with Bantry getting a soft ride coming in and ultimately came up short when it could have pushed on to win. Anyway, we've started great in the thread. As I mentioned above, the majority of selections appear to be drifters so in real terms the prices on my losing lays are less than BSP so my real profits overtime should be bigger than any noted here.

+5.38 units yesterday; Protect Rally was the only winner against us; won at 3.46; traded out to 80.0 IR but closed it out in the end. Nice start yesterday with 3 from 4 successful lays. The one pick that did come in first, Doctor Foley, benefited hugely from two late NR's and would have struggled to get in first had Doyens De Ante run. Profit/loss +2.28 units

Just to note that there has been some larger drifters in testing over the last few months from the price when the selections have been picked, to the price compared to the off. This may be an angle to keep an eye on for people also. I had a selection yesterday that I layed at 8.2 that went off at 18.0 - of course this doesn't happen with all but its been rare to have a horses tighten significantly.
