  1. Re: LINGFIELD~SAT 23rd FEB LAY Bonus (Lingfield 3:45) High class horse but worth opposing at 7/4. Is drawn in stall 1 which is a definite negative over 6f at Lingfield. Plenty of opposition in Ceremonial Jade, Ebraam, Evens and Odds and King Orchisios. Should be more of a 5/2 shot than a 7/4 shot.

  2. Re: KEMPTON ~SAT 23rd FEB I'msingingtheblues (Kempton 2:05) Will be good ground at Kempton today and this will pose a problem for likely favourite Numide. In France, Numide was excellent on softer ground but struggled on anything firmer. Stellion beat ordinary horses in a modest time on debut. He showed good form in Germany but needs to improve on his best form there to figure here and at a short price is worth opposing. I'msingingtheblues needs non-testing conditions to show his best and he has them here. He looks tough to beat. Pur De Sivola (Kempton 2:40) Whilst Hobbs Hill clearly has an excellent chance it is still a big ask for a horse to win a 5th race in a row off a mid-season break. The value has to be with Pur De Sivola who is better than the rest of the field and was impressive when winning last time out. He needs 2m4f on a right-handed track to show his best and that is what he gets here. Ungaro (Kempton 3:15) I've backed this horse Ante-Post at 8/1 but I think it's still worth a bet at around 5/1. Gungadu is best fresh and isn't here. Also, Nicholls column in the RP today hardly inspires condifence. Simon wants softer ground and is high enough in the weights anyway. Burntoakboy is best on stiffer tracks. Wee Robbie whilst being a good novice chaser just isn't good enough to win this. Bagan isn't good enough to win either and the fact that he is an ex-flat horse is a negative too. When did an ex-flat horse last win a big 3m handicap chase? I can't remember. Ungaro's strength is his stamina and he will surely get a test of stamina today. He looks a great bet at 5/1.

  3. Re: Favourite Jockeys Philip Robinson - Very selective with his rides now but he always gives them every chance and is a smart bloke. Kerrin McEvoy - Probably best jockey currently riding in England (apart from Ryan Moore). Mick Kinane - Excellent in the big races.

  4. Re: Losing Faith.... Yeah, I suppose you guys are right. Maybe I should have a break from horses and concentrate on sport and then give horses another go and if that fails I will just stop forever. Another question, do you think everyone inevitably stops betting as they realise that they cannot beat the bookmaker.

  5. Am on a massive losing run. Does anyone have a system (perhaps of their own/on this forum) which is pretty reliable. I just want something which is slightly more concrete than what i've got at the moment. I'm doing well with sports betting but poorly with horses.
