Re: Liverpool v Leicester City > Thursday January 1st I don't generally like to go as low as 1.45 and maybe I shouldn't have here where I took Liverpool because I love their recent form while Leicester is the dead last team in the EPL.

Re: Southampton v Arsenal > Thursday January 1st Arsenal at 2.54 is the play of the week, I think. That's not to say that Southampton is a guaranteed win for the Gunners, it's just that I really like the value and I like Arsenal's recent form--- they're absolutely surging. This is as close to a must-win as Arsenal has had all year and the 3 points would put them firmly in 4th place to start 2015, a spot that few pundits would have put them in just a few weeks ago. I am expecting Arsene to have his men as ready as they have been all year, eager to put a miserable early-season behind them and start the new year on a healthy boot.

Re: West Ham v West Bromwich Albion > Thursday January 1st I like West Ham here, they showed some teeth against Arsenal and I think West Brom will be a welcome drop in quality for the Hammers, who will look to regain momentum in their top-4 chase by feasting on a minnow after being taken to the stake by the Premier League elite. Pretty good value at 1.9 straight-up.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea > Thursday January 1st I like Chelsea here, decent value too. Spurs drew United but to be honest they were lucky to escape with their heads in the first half and they might as well have been playing a Bosnian Premier League team in the second half. I don't take Mourinho as a manager that will take dropped points lightly and I expect Chelsea to come out with a renewed vigor and focus.

Re: Aston Villa v Sunderland > Sunday December 28th Sunderland played well and hit the post in the final minute. Unfortunate to not escape with a win. Great game.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United > Sunday December 28th
Brutal, it was painful to watch. No cohesion in the middle and seemingly random passes all half. Spurs unlucky to take three points today. And what made it worse is that they had chances throughout first-half. You couldn't believe your eyes when the screen said 0-0 at halftime. Strange match.United lost the midfield completely in the 2nd half of this game. Could have been 3 up at HT. Second half they were totally unable to play the ball out of the back. Worst 2nd half of football from them this season (OK Leicester was worse) -
Re: Liverpool v Swansea City > Monday December 29th This is one of those games that's sort of the big question for the week, I decided not to touch it until after today's games. Liverpool is simmering on the whole and their last home game saw them control a surging Arsenal. A win against the same Burnley that scored two goals against Man City rounds out the recent run of form. I think acceptable value on Liverpool for the win straight-up.

Re: West Ham v Arsenal > Sunday December 28th Arsenal just have a good record against West Ham and this is a statement game in the battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot. Arsenal has looked more cohesive as the season carries forward and this is right around the time they traditionally start heating up. Giroud is a factor but I'm looking to Sanchez for another world class performance to see the Hammers away. Ozil coming back in January should offer enough of a mental boost to offset any tired legs the Gunners might be experiencing.

Re: Queens Park Rangers v Crystal Palace > Sunday December 28th QPR looked good in attack, albeit with a man up, in the final quarter-or-so of play and would not have shocked if they walked out of Emirates with a draw. In front of the home fans I think they'll want to finish the year strong and a win would put them far and above the relegation zone, almost guaranteeing anoter year in the Premier League.
-
Re: Aston Villa v Sunderland > Sunday December 28th Sunderland a heavy hitter here, my outside shot for the big value this Sunday. Aston Villa drab and Sunderland should be eager to avenge the lapse in focus that led to their embarassment at the hands of Hull City.
-
Re: Hull City v Leicester City > Sunday December 28th It's one of those where you don't know how to be smart about it, I'm staying away. Maybe a draw would be the play here.
-
Re: Manchester City v Burnley > Sunday December 28th This is one of those where I wouldn't bother with the low-return on Manchester City. If you're feeling like throwing a drunken windmill Burnley could buy you a few drinks at the pub with an ungodly upset. No play either way, to my mind.
-
Re: Stoke City v West Bromwich Albion > Sunday December 28th West Brom could be tremendous value to sneak in an upset though I, maybe foolishly, played Stoke to win at home.
-
Re: West Ham v Arsenal > Sunday December 28th Arsenal with pretty good value, coming off a mostly dominant performance against QPR at home, save for the last 15 minutes where Wenger had his men absorb pressure in an unnecessarily tense final act of the game. West Ham surely has to be reeling after being thoroughly outclassed by league leading Chelsea, showing just how wide the gap between 1st and 4th place exists in the Premier League. Arsenal has a golden opportunity to claim its intent on the final Champions League spot and I expect them to deliver.
-
Re: Southampton v Chelsea > Sunday December 28th Chelsea are away and it wouldn't matter if they played on the moon without oxygen tanks, Mourinho has his horses firing on all cylinders and they look in unstoppable form after humiliating another top-4 pretender in West Ham. Decent value at 1.83 on a Blues side that might be playing its strongest football in club history.

Re: Liverpool v Swansea City > Monday December 29th Not the greatest value but feel Liverpool will deliver at home in a must-win game if Rodgers's men are to be taken seriously in top-4 consideration in 2015.
-
Re: Queens Park Rangers v Crystal Palace > Sunday December 28th I like Queens Park at home after a toothy final 15 minutes against Arsenal at Emirates. QPR has proven tough to beat at home with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City as one of their notches on this season's Loftus Road totem.
-
Re: Newcastle United v Everton > Sunday December 28th Great value on Newcastle, coming off a tough loss to Manchester United but nowhere near as placid as Everton so far this year. Everton has no bite, look for Newcastle to possibly run roughshod and end the year on good feeling.
-
Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United > Sunday December 28th Manchester United rolling and dominant against Newcastle, undefeated in 8 games and 3rd place firmly under their foot. Great value on The Red Devils straight-up.
-
Re: Arsenal v Queens Park Rangers > Friday December 26th Sanchez is world class, this is clear now.
-
Re: West Bromwich Albion v Manchester City > Friday December 26th I know City has injury concerns at the forward, but they have enough quality and motivation to see West Brom out handily. With the need to keep pace with Chelsea, look for Manchester City to come out swinging. If you like betting 25 to win 14, this is as close to a sure thing as you can get.
-
Re: Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur > Friday December 26th Spurs great value, don't think they'll challenge for Champions League this year but they're quietly picking up momentum and should be a lock against lowly Leicester.
-
Re: Manchester United v Newcastle United > Friday December 26th this game is going to be balls to the wall, I think Man Utd is too strong and too motivated with Newcastle a team lacking consistency. Look for Man U to put the stamp on a top 3 finish with a raucous thrashing of the midtable side.

Re: Stoke City v Manchester United > Thursday January 1st Manchester looked scary bad in the second half of Tottenham match. While my sense tells me that 2.00 is a solid play here I might not go in because I am scarred from the startlingly low-quality play in United's last game.
