  1. Re: Paradise Poker Double Prize Money - 1st February (And €10,000 Freeroll for 10 RH) I´m still confused. http://en.paradisepoker.com/t/paradise-poker/promotions/extra_add.aspx. If they double all winnings, how can they say "up to 70000 added". If players buy in for over 70000, then they will either have to add more than 70000 or the players can`t get their winnings doubled.

  2. Re: Continuation Bets It depends on many things, in general against 1 opponent I make a continuation bet very often, the point is if you would alawys bet with a certain flop if you hit you always have to bet when you miss. There are 2 times when I don´t make a contiuation et all the times agaisnt 1 opponen. First when flop comes with a small pair on the board and there is no flush draws, but that because I could also be slowplaying with a big pair, you are typically either dead ( if your oppoent have flop trips) or very secure in front. So no reason to build a big pot. Second against a very aggresive opponent that is sitting behind me, if there is a very big likelyhood he will bet if I doN´t, I sometimes checkraises with nothing instead. Of course i also sometimes just fold, If I had hit I could also be checkraising.

  3. Today I was playing Pokerstars 109 $ deep stack tour with 5000 starting chips, in one of the first hands I flop a flush draw and a backdoor straight draw, after a series of raises and reraises I came all-in on the flop, but didn´t get any help, so my chipstack was down to 50 (1% of starting stack), but managed to rebuild my stack so at a point ot was over 80000, and ended as number 7, and won $539, unfortunately imageshack is down right now, so I can`t make a screenshot. Can anybody beat that comeback?

  4. Re: Daily MTT Winnings - September Here is a funny one, I tried pokerstars $ 22 deep stack endedn up as 10 after over 7 hous of play and won the big prize of $53 so used 7 hous to make a $31 profit. Lesson don´t play deepstack tours with under $100 buyin. Great fun anyway, I love those deepstack tours. pokerstars26sepsq2.jpg

  5. Re: What would you do? Without prizestructure, and stackseizes, its impossible to answer. If it was a sat and there was several players with lower stacks than you it would be an easy fold. If it a normal prize structure its an easy call, unless you are a very big 2 stack and chipleader moves in on you or something like that

  6. Re: playing short handed turbo STT's - general strategy advice I think you have a very easy push with QJo with only 6,5 BB left, I would push with a lot worse hands. I think the main problem is your stack is so low compared with the others, that they can now call and lose and still not be in to bad shape, I think getting into a situation where you have less than half of the second smallest stack thats the real problem, I think that if you had any chance you should try to start moving all-in when you still have a stack so big that you will really cripple a guy thats call you and lose. So I I think that if you had any chance of moving first all-in with a hand, while you still had 1500 -2000 left you should have done it, almost regardless of your cards.

  7. Re: Party Poker - The Grind I think there is much better offering out right now. Right now Mansion gives away $ 100 entry fees to their big guaratees tour for 100 mcp. 100 mcp = about 800 hands at NL 50. I pay an average rake at 3.4 cents per hand at NL 50, so thats about $27,2 in rake for a $100 entry, thats almost 400 % rakeback (you get your normal rakeback on top of that so this is a very fine offer). You get 5 points for 20 raked hands at NL100 party. Thats 0.25 point per raked hand. (for this promo only base points count) So to make 300 points you have to play 1200 raked hands. At NL100 about 2/3 of all hands get raked so thats 1800 hands. (Thats a lot of hands to play in a day 5 days in a row, with 60 hands per table per hour, its 15 hours of play at one table, even if you play 2 or 3 tables it will take a lot of hours ) pokeroffice tells me I pay an average og 5.55 cent per hand at 100 NL. 1800* 5.55 c= 9990 c= 99.9 $ 5 days *99.9 = 499.5 $ in rake The total pricepool per week is 50000 $ per week + 40 wii(400$) + 60(ipods360$)= 87600 $ (value of wii and ipod is partys estimate). So to get the 400 % rakeback on the offer there cant be more than 44 players who qualify. If there is 500 thats 24750 $ in rake for the 87600 prize thats about 28 % rakeback. Then there is the value of the mini cooper too. And I think it is very likely you will end up with something like 500 entrys at party. secondly I think I would go mad if I should play 3 NL100 tables for 5 hours for 5 days in a row, so I really think this offer is mostly for players who play NL200 or more So I think the mansion offer is much better, but of course it depends on how many players will qualify at party. I`m a bit tired, but hope I have not made some huge calculation errors.

  8. Re: AT with super-low M I disagree with the others opinion, that it is a close call. In my opinion this is a very easy all-in. You are sitting in the BB with 7397 chips, you have put in 2000 as BB an 100 as ante already. So you have 5297 left, if you call and win you win 7397*2 + 1000 SB + 600 anetes from the players not in the pot= 16394. So you just need 32.31 % on average to make a call right, you almost have that against KK-JJ or AK-AJ and you have almost a coinflip against 99-22. Not to mention Villain could very well be stealing and you are actually ahead. To me thats a no brainer, easy push.
