  1. Re: Best Bet Of The Day 13th May 2008

3.00 Yarmouth Musaalem is unbeaten from one start after winning an average Warwick maiden last season. As he has only had the one start he begins the season and a fair mark, the handicapper could only give him a mark of 75 I suppose based on what he achieved. However he could be better than shown and I will follow him this season until I see a reason not to. He pulled hard on his debut and he didn't handle the bend at Warwick either. I have a quote from Willie Haggas saying "...he ideally wants a straight track..." So interesting that he runs at Yarmouth. He broke his pelvis at two and obviously has been hard to train, I believe the yard's patience will be repaid this season. Around 10/3 at the moment and one of my bets of the day.

  3. Re: Wolverhampton 12/4/08

7.20 Dhaamaan is dropped in trip and this could be a negative. The 2nd favourite is better on fibresand. Now Honey Monster is very suited to polytracks and is well weighted with the riders allowance to be competitive. Honey Monster win @5.7 on Betfair and 2.16 place on Betfair. Both these odds look overpriced.
Spot on mate! :ok Was down today until I seen this! :nana Im looking forward to when you start your own ATR thread! :)
  4. Re: My Top Rated Horses

The following selections are top rated by my own rating system. They will be from races with a maximum number of 9 declared runners' date=' the race distance will be between 1 mile and 2 miles inclusive. [b']I only back at SP odds of 10/11 and 5/1. I will note the selections LTO result after the horses name as I think horses that haven't won LTO might provide a better return. 100 point bank with 5% going on selections. I have had losing runs of up to 10 btw. Wednesday 20 February 2008 335 LINGFIELD MASKED 3 410 LINGFIELD LORD OF DREAMS 2 440 LINGFIELD CARIBANA 1 720 KEMPTON FREGATE ISLAND 2 750 KEMPTON DON PICOLO 1 920 KEMPTON PRINCESS COCOA 1

  5. Re: Musselburgh 03/02/08

Astarador 3.30 Musselburgh Was 7th on its comeback but had been off with injury and definitely needed a run. From the same yard as Act Sirius which won earlier and also has Richard Johnson on board. Looks to me like the best horse in the race, look at the form - 3rd to Silverburn last year in a Grade 1 (that won yesterday), 2nd to Amaretto Rose in a Grade 2 on last run of last year and then 7th on comeback to Five Dream which went out and won again recently. Along The Nile may be improving but only has form at class 4 and class 3 level, Folk Tune has been placed in class 3 races but looked one paced. Astarador likes soft ground and it looks quite cut up now at Musselburgh which should suit it. Available at 7-2 and that may look quite big after the race.
    Musselburgh 3.30
    1st 5 Astarador (FR) 2-1:dude
    2nd 9 Border Tale 14-1
  6. Re: Musselburgh 03/02/08

Act Sirius 2.30 Musselburgh (EW - 22-1 Betfred) Harper Valley 2.30 Musselburgh (LAY BET) Harper Valley at odds on is no bet for me. If you are backing a horse at odds on you have to think there is not really anything in the field that can beat it and it has an outstanding chance, I can't say that for Harper Valley. It beat Franchoek and that result has given the horse its price but that was quite a shock result and the 1st time blinkers may have provided a miracle as one good run does not make it an extra special horse, it had not shown much before that race. Act Sirius won here on the flat and then won here 25 days ago on soft over this distance, looking like it had found some improvement from its hurdles debut. The trainer sends 3 horses but Richard Johnson rides this one. Trainer is +£31.16 for January, both lennon and Tidal Bay losing yesterday but does not put me off. It ran on strongly last time out and turned over its odds on stablemate and looks a huge each way bet at 22-1.
great day today mate!! :dude I miss your mowgli77 specialist threads!! I know you got your jump one now and its doing great with the winners but I think its different to your flat one you had last year... I can't explain it lol does that make sense?
  7. Not sure if this can go here but... I just seen an advert on CH4 about a show on.... Fri, 1st Feb, 9.00pm, Ch4 This man Derren Brown claims to have developed a 100% winning system, with selections ranging from fav's to outsiders, and will be revealing all on this programme. The mind boggles as to what this may involve but it makes for interesting viewing.... What do people think? Please move to the relevant place, but I thought as its about a "horse racing system" people here might be interested.

  8. Re: Cavelloman's Winter E/W Value Bets 2007/8

First one for Satueday. Kempton 1.45 Rodrigo Gonzales 2 pts E/W @11/2 at Paddy Power In a race with a favourite that may not act on the going plus several having first outings or following poor runs. LTO ran well at Wetherby against a couple of horses rated aroung 100 on the flat.
    Kempton 1.45 Full Result
    1st 3 Rodrigo Gonzales (IRE) 11-4 F
    2nd 1 Prince De Bersy (FR) 9-2
    3rd 6 Khumbu 16-1
