  1. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd

Steaua Bucharest - Rio Ave Possible score: 2-0
In agreement here, honestly I think the margin could be higher. Bar the 1-3 slip up, Steaua have been on good form in multiple leagues, average 2.4 goals in the last 10 games and for the most part dominating their matches. Where as Rio Ave look disappointing, failing to score in 3 of their last 5 games, goal average 0.9 in their last 10 (and even that is highly skewed by one high scoring match, outside of that it's either 0 or 1 goal basically). I was trying to predict which game tonight might be the one with the silly scoreline (you know 6-0 type thing), out of most I'm looking at this one potentially being able to fill that roll. Some teams like to settle down getting two ahead and have the game on a slow burn after that but Steaua seem hungry to keep scoring. Going on Steaua and a bit on the handicap markets as well. Also like the look of Club Brugge, haven't lost a match in 10 games. 6 wins and 4 draws, bar one all score draws. Average goals per game 2.5. FC Copenhagen not doing horribly, but only won half their games, including being beaten by Aab who really aren't doing that well themselves. H2H history is on FC Copenhagens side however, but then again it was with Liverpool last night and we all saw how that went. Also Brugge at home, they haven't lost in the last dozen games. Odds around 1.8-1.9 (best) for the win.
  2. Re: CSKA Moscow v Manchester City > Tuesday October 21st It's not a sure thing as CSKA have been scoring a fair bit lately but I still feel Man City will pull it off, they really need a win to get the campaign on track, no home fan support for CSKA (though how much you think it matters will differ obviously), been doing well at home. However don't seem able to keep a clean sheet in Europe and haven't done well at home on that front either. Personally I think it'll be a repeat of the previous two h2h games, CSKA scores, but Man City score more. So main bet is Man City to win, but also a bit on Man City and BTTS @ 3.7 (BWIN)

  3. Re: West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United > Monday October 20th need Man Utd to win for final of my acca (returns not huge), I'm pretty sure they'll win, but if they don't they'll throw a win away not be dragging behind West Brom IMO. So I'll probably wait for them to be winning in the 2nd half and if the lead isn't comfortable (..though this is Man Utd lol), say scoreline is 2-1, I'll lay them at that stage. Personally though I think they'll win it, but will probably fail to keep a clean sheet, 3-1 is my prediction.

  4. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Monday October 13th

    :ok
Well called. So much for my bets, what happened to Holland? Also went on the Bale special, he had a few decent chances in fairness so unlucky. Not a good day today, frustrating as I was heavily pondering Wales to win BTTS but left it as I thought they might be able to keep a clean sheet as I felt Cyprus were fortunate with Bosnia. My little long acca is going well, 5 more over 1 goal matches tomorrow haha.
  5. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Monday October 13th I'm looking at BTTS in the Iceland v Netherlands game, possibly a little bit on Netherlands win and BTTS. Albeit being pretty historical, their h2h stats show the Netherlands generally win convincingly, couple of score draws. Netherlands have won to nil most of the time but recent form suggests Iceland should be pretty confident about goal scoring ability. Managed to score in all of their last 5 games, albeit some against easier opposition. Norway failed to keep a clean sheet in the last three games, Kazakhstan managed a goal, can't see why Iceland couldn't do the same. Their last meet ended 2-1 to the Netherlands, I'm envisaging something similar tonight. BTTS YES @ 2.05 (Betfair) for me.

  12. Been doing over .5 goals in-play quite successfully (colo colo just now score at 85th min...whew), but I want to try something new. Okay so starting with £1 my aim is to get 5 bets at odds of roughly double to reach around £32. These will consist of doubles/trebles with a combined odds of around evens. However I'll be doing two runs simultaneously. One is me personally picking 2-3 selections I feel fairly confident about either from team knowledge or recent stats, the other is me picking two strongly tipped results (as long as a few with decent positive ROI tip it) even if I have no knowledge of the teams at all, no looking at h2h or any stats etc. The latter may end up with odds of a bit over evens. Each run cannot share any bets, so that if one call goes wrong it won't end both runs. Also I shall wait for each leg to complete on each bet before the next set. So...who can do it, me, the tipsters..or no one? I'll be using a max of £10 so five simultaneous runs. If one run ends I'll continue the other alone until it fails or reaches £32 when I bank. All bets on WH for ease... So first up! Me Uni Catolica v Santiago Wanderers, Uni Catolica to win either half @ 1.36 Barcelona Guayaquil v Liga De Loja, Barcelona Guayaquil to win @ 1.57 Combined odds 2.14 Tipped results Juan Aurich v Inti Gas Deportes, over 2.5 goals at @ 1.60 DC United v Colorado Rapids, Colorado or draw @ 1.65 Combined odds 2.64

  13. Re: World Cup 2014 > Outright Betting

AHH to cashout or not, that is the question.. Germany look the better team but I just have a feeling Argentina will win the game.
I'd be pretty cautious with that, personally I think Germany are probably going to get the win here. You could always lay Argentina either £50 (plus 5%) so that you can break even if it doesn't go your way. Or lay something like £150 on them, so if Argentina win you get £750-£390= £360, if Argentina lose you win £150-£50= £100, or make it so you win the same amount of profit either way (which would be around £200 either way)
  14. Re: JoeyB's betting journey... Argentina v Holland £12 on over 1.5 goals @ 4/9 £3 on over 2.5 goals @ 6/4 £3 on over 3.5 at @ 15/4 £1 on Messi to score first Holland to win @ 40/1 £1 on Robben to score first Argentina to win @ 40/1 Hoping for 2-1 and one of the reverse wincast scenarios...
