  1. Re: Group F - Argentina v Bosnia-Herzegovina > Sunday June 15th Argentina vs Bosnia & Herzegovina = Argentina-1,5 @ 2.08 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) Odds of 2.08 for the heavy Fav to take this one by 2 clear goals is an offer I simply cannot refuse! First of all the class difference between both teams is way way too obvious and second the climate affect is also obvious for everybody to see also. It would be bothering to compare the argentinian stars to the debutant of Bosnia and I won’t do that. Instead will recall some stats where Argentina have had 9-1 wins and 24-4 goals record within the last 12 World Cup group games so far. These numbers alone are enough for me to welcome any day a generous offer of 2.08 nevermind the pressure of the expected great performance by Messi & Co. :hope

  2. Re: Group E - France v Honduras > Sunday June 15th France vs Honduras = France-1,5 @ 1.90 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) This one looks without a doubt the easiest bet of the tournament as I cannot see the Dog troubling France too much. They’re not Costa Rica and lack their quality which doesn’t mean of course France will get a 5:0 win. No, the Europeans will try to save some energy by winning conservatively with couple of goals may be and a clean sheet. The heat & humidity won’t be the same hurdle here like it was in the previous games so far involving European teams simply because Honduras are a no-match for France. The real test for France will be the next couple of matches against Switzerland and Ecuador. But right now it’s a narrow win 2:0 either 3:0. :hope

  3. Re: Group D - England v Italy > Sunday June 15th England vs Italy = draw @ 3.00 Marathonbet (4/10 stake) I go for draws so often like NEVER however this matchup is the perfect scenario for me to break that habit. First game of the group promising a cagey attempt of football, where no one will want to risk too much on top of all the Amazon heat & humidity! Add to that the R.Hodgson habit of playing “coward” football in big matches and now you have a perfect scenario for a game where everybody will be happy to get back to the cool hotel rooms sharing the points. Personally I expect a slow tempo without any necessary rush for goals, plenty of passes in the middle and two teams settling for a boring scoreless draw in contrast of what these two nations could offer on paper! Good luck in your attempt not to fall asleep on the couch in front of telly! :hope

  4. 15:55 Hexham = 4.Ailim @ 3.25 Marathonbet (4/10 stake) Altough not fully convincing so far the 4.Ailim should be boosted by that duo J.Ferguson & AP McCoy. He’s a certain improver in my book and it’s a matter of him or the Fav 1.Vasco Du Ronceray finishing stronger. No doubt the french horse holds the momentum and looks way better than the rest of the field however I’m not prepared to back him at that price and so I’m leaning towards the 2nd Fav. :hope

  5. Re: Group D - Uruguay v Costa Rica > Saturday June 14th Uruguay vs CostaRica = over 2,25 goals @ 1.99 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) The openning game in Group D of the World Cup'14 presents us a great opportunity to profit in the goal market since the Moneyline is not tempting enough at just 1.46. It's pretty obvious who's about to rule the game with all those stars up front and hard-working rest of the team behind them helping them to create chances, however I must stress CostaRica were the reason why Mexico needed an extra qualification to go through. The uderdogs also managed to win against both USA and Mexico in their qualification campaign and with the tournament played in South America they're certainly capable of a shot. With that in mind I expect uruguay to win but not win it as comfortably as public expects since the first games are usual a bit of a cagey affairs! So I'm going for OVER 2,25 GOALS with a projected score of 2:1 either 2:0. :hope

  6. 19:35 Aintree = 1.Dubai Prince @ 3.50 Marathonbet (5/10 stake) A 2,1m Class 3 HcpHurdle where it’s all about the 7.Minella Reception and 1.Dubai Prince. Don’t expect these couple to be troubled too much so we now have juicy odds wit hone of the Favs. They switched positions in the market this morning but I expect 1.Dubai Prince to steam later on. Cannot escape from the promising duo J.Ferguson and AP.McCoy here and with also promising record by that horse I’ll be happy to put my hard-earned cash its way! :hope

  7. Re: Group A - Mexico v Cameroon > Friday June 13th Mexico vs Cameroon = both teams to score @ 2.05 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) First game of Group A where both these outsiders suppose to grab their necks in a fight to earn some points before facing Brazil and Croatia next. On paper Mexico have a slight bigger advantage playing in similar conditions to the home ones, they’re more technical side and have not so bad World Cup history. In contrast Cameroon are not so far away from these abilities but are rather more physical side. All in all I expect both teams to cancel each other with their probably cautious approach and won’t be happy to lose the opening game. So a narrow 1:1 is to be expected as a safe start for both sides that might be a suicidal in a later stage of the Group fight. :hope

  8. Re: June 9 - June 15 S.Stephens vs S.Zhang = S.Stephens-4 @ 1.82 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) The 3rd seed at the Aegon Classic meets an improving Chinese however I don’t think she’ll be troubled like A.Riske did it to her yesterday since S.Zheng’s style is no near the American Riske. She’s also not particular in love with that surface in contrast of the grass suiting Stephens game perfectly. Cannot see being troubled beyond two sets, may be one of them close but still a 2-setter win by the American.

  9. Re: Group A - Brazil v Croatia > Thursday June 12th Brazil vs Croatia = both teams to score @ 2.55 Marathonbet (5/10 stake) Finally the World Cup is here! Everything promises a great event and it cannot be any better than that opening between these two eyecatching teams. Of course the Brazil are the big Fav here but Croatia are a quality team as well on top of having World Cup history themselves. It’s enough to mention the dynamic duo in the middle Modric-Rakitic and it becomes clear their forwards will be presented with some chances during the game. And giving the fact the first matches at the World Cups after the opening ceremonies have often been tight and tricky affairs, we might just witness the Dog scoring here. Of course, I’m ruling out Croatia clean sheet but giving the circumstances and the fact Brazil could relax after 3:0 either concede as I mentioned it’s possible above, these odds become looking quite tasty. After all the hosts’ defense is not as solid as the other parts of the squad, so I’ll really kick myself if I miss out 2.55 for Both Team To Score! :hope

  10. Re: Flat Racing > Wednesday June 11th 18:10 Hamilton = 4.Hab Reeh @ 3.00 Marathonbet (5/10 stake) Pretty confident in that one at 18:10 Hamilton today. The Fav here 4.Hab Reeh won this race a year ago off a lower mark and is attempting to repeat it now 12 months ago. His recent record reads 451222 and I assume that race will suit him quite well and will break the duck luck of late. Not much of an opposing with more than a half of the card not to be trusted at all. Should be won with an ease, so good luck if followed! :hope

  11. Re: French Open 2014 R.Nadal vs N.Djokovic = R.Nadal-1,5 @ 1.80 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) Finally the Final! Djokovic has won the last 4 meetings incl. the recent Rome final on clay. Investigating their H2H you can easily spot most of the time the one beat the other 3-4 times in a row, then they switch roles. Now after 4 successive wins I predict it’s time for Nole to give up. And the simple reason is the Serbian never beat the Spaniard in a 3/5 sets format. Never! Adding to that simple but very important detail Nadal played one of his best tennis recently giving up some 40 games only during the tourney and you will have no other option but to agree with the oddsmakers today. :hope

  12. Re: Flat Racing > Saturday June 7th 16:00 Epsom Downs = 8.Kingston Hill to be placed @ 2.72 Marathonbet (4/10 stake) This race is all about 2.Australia but with an expected rain down there I can see some value elsewhere. 8.Kingston Hill has some decent stats on its name and has attracted some support today, so I think we’re going to witness some further improvement today. Still the race is wide open after the Fav and I guess the safest way to approach & profit here is to attack the Place Market. Top 3 is completely achievable so let’s have a shot! :hope

  13. Re: French Open 2014 M.Sharapova vs S.Halep = S.Halep @ 2.24 Marathonbet (5/10 stake) OK, this is clearly a value hunting for me since I can’t quite figure it out who’s going to be the next Grand Slam winner. Everybody knows Sharapova and it won’t be surprising picking her as a winner. However the Romanian made an incredible entrance to the WTA Elite last year and a half and it’s her consistency that made that happen. Like her chances very much as the Russian already showed on three consecutive matches during the week she’s vulnerable. Good luck if followed! :hope

  14. Re: French Open 2014 M.Sharapova vs E.Bouchard = under 21,5 games @ 2.04 Marathonbet (7/10 stake) Quite simply when you witness MARATHONBET offering 21,5 games line compared to the PINNY only 21 games you have to be mad to play the second one and that’s all the shopping secret you need to know. Regarding the matchup itself we have to ignore the 2-0 H2H lead of the Fav since the Canadian has just stepped up at that serious scene such as Grand Slam. Her talent is there for everyone to see but can she overachieve and reach the final? Think her time is about to come … but not yet! Masha fought back from 0-1 deficit on two consecuative occasions and I assume her game plan is to to be much more concentrated today not repeating that mistake again, then from a comfy 1-0 Set up to close the game. She’s had a solid clay season so far and will be completely normal if she advance to the final. Two close sets for me but still UNDER 21,5 games. :hope

  15. Re: UK Jump Racing 30th May Stratford Great preview above abd some deep insight but hope you won't minds adding something to the Stratford puzzle 19:50 Stratford = 6.Monetary Fund @ 3.00 Marathonbet (4/10 stake) The 19:50 3,3m. Hcp Hurdle at Stratford running in a couple of hours looks like belonging to 5.Monetary Fund in my opinion. I can see him running strong from the first hurdle onwards with only 3.Oscar Prairie able to trouble him. The trace is going to suit him, the distance is OK, A.Coleman is on the saddle which is plus when a long distance and must be added Miss V Williams is the trainer. Have a good feeling on this one and hope it brings the profit to every follower’s wallet! :hope

  16. 16:40 Worcester = 1.Edmaaj to be placed @ 2.12 Marathonbet (5/10 stake) The 16:40 Worcester meeting posses a great chance to profit from since I cannot see the 1.Edmaaj not delivering something today. In my book AP McCoy is not to be trusted when a strong Fav but here he’s chasing the leader and I expect him to do well. Also expect the price to steam as the horse has promising stats and has the ability to deliver on that ground. Like the trainer, like the horse, like the jockey at that spot and with 3 places on offer I’m pretty confident the threesome can donate some profit to our wallets.

  17. 14:20 Cartmel = 8.Executive's Hall to beat(match bet) 2.Right To Rule @ 1.909 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) Can’t say it’s a wide open contest the 14:20 Cartmel Selling Hurdle as I completely write off the bottom half of the card and lean towards the top one. In fact it’s hard enough to isolate someone to put my trust on however the closest one I fancy is 8.Executive’s Hall. He has won four hurdle races from 2m 4f to 2m 6f on good to firm and good ground and it’s a horse to be considered but I prefer to play safe today and go for the Match Bets. MARATHONBET gives us the chance to decide which one between these two horses is better and after some jockey consideration I estimate over 56,5% chances of my selection running stronger. Not the most confident bet I’ve ever made but still I obey my numbers including some gut feeling! :hope

  18. 19:10 Hexham = 4.Amethyst Rose @ 3.25 Marathonbet (3/10 stake) Not the strongest of contests today at 19:10 Hexham where I believe the Fav 4.Amethyst Rose will stay unscratch ‘till the final hurdle. With Course & Distance win under her belt I can see her handling the conditions well and with B.Harding I expect further improvement. Hope both deliver for us! :hope

  19. BurtonA vs FleetwoodT = 1st half under 1 goal @ 1.727 Marathonbet (6/10 stake) Seems to me these “Wembley” PlayOff Finals always finish 1:0 and with so much at stake it’s not really coincidence most of the games go under 2,5 goals. Another game full of pressure within both teams and I cannot give my credit to neither team in a live-or-die match such as this one so I prefer to look elsewhere. The nature of the game makes me think my money will be only safe on playing some under and after careful consideration both teams away forms(as this is a neutral venue) I now lean towards 1st HALF UNDER 1 GOAL. Probably a cagey first half and not many goal opportunities? Odds are OK to me and even a 1:0 in the first 45min. keeps my investment safe so I like this bet very much indeed.

  20. 14:50 Cartmel = 1.Bob Along @ 4.50 Marathonbet (3/10 stake) Not particular strong contest today at 14:50 Cartmel with a heavy Fav expected to deliver easily. Usually I would take such tiny odds only with a gun pointed to my face and since I’m not, I prefer to run for the value going against AP McCoy here. Yes, the horse he’s going to ride has every chance to finish 1st but 1.Bob Along is the one with the risk:reward ratio I’m looking for. Hope it deliver for us! :hope

  21. Re: BBOTD Sunday 25th May Oh, don't get me wrong! I posted 2 selections today without intention as I don't want to compete, just to show my skills! And I thought BBOTD is the thread where I can post the horse I fancy! So I feel a bit lost here since BBOTD is a competitive thread while I cannot post hurdles into the Flat Racing obviously? Where suppose to post then? If I don't steal your oxygen here in BBOTD I prefer to stay around sharing my winners as I simply like that thread. Anything against that? Guess it won't harm anyone, right?

  22. Re: BBOTD Sunday 25th May 17:45 Fontwell = 3.Lightentertainment @ 5.50 Marathonbet (3/10 stake) After careful consideration I fancied one more for today and it comes from Fontwell yet again. This time it’s the last meeting of the day there at 17:45 and the value I spot lies within the 3.Lightentertainment where I don’t see some particular strong and promising stats but that horse is just unexposed and might just prove to be a pleasant surprise. :hope
