  1. Re: Champions League Wed November 4th

There isnt much wrong with his comment... only you come in here insulting someone and whining about his spelling...(weird huh that people have other main languages then english) Go tell mommi someone said something about liverpool... fkn kid
You think he's foreign with a name like "Staines Passive" - you're even more stupid than he is. And I'm no kid. Now give a tip or shut up.
  2. Re: Champions League Tue November 3rd

I can't see much value in any of the games tonight' date=' but I will chance my arm on [b']Michael Owen in the anytime goalscorer market at 2.3 with Paddy Power. With Rooney missing and Berbatov doubtful, he will be the main attacking force and I expect there to be plenty of chances. Definitely worth a stab. (Just for fun, did you know that Kai - the name of Wayne Rooney's baby - is Thai for both "chicken" and "prostitute"? Oops.)
    That was simple enough :cheers

  4. Re: Champions League » Sep 29/30 I really like the look of Standard Liege away to AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday. Apart from losing to the Arse, they're unbeaten this year, including 5 away games, and are scoring plenty. In contrast, Alkmaar just lost their 3rd ganme in a row to Utrecht, so confidence is bound to be low. The 7/2 for the away win with Paddy Power looks huge to me, although I have been adopting a very cautious betting approach of late, so will probably opt for the 10/11 for an SL win or draw. GL to all.

  5. Re: Champions League » Sep 29/30 I don't mean to be rude, but I wish people would avoid posting a list of massively odds-on home teams and teling us what a good bet they are as an accumulator. People can bet whatever they like, but do we really need to be "advised" that Liverpool at home to Burton Albion is a safe bet at 1/33? etc etc. If you're going to comment on the 99% likelihood matches, why not look for something a bit less obvious. "Kuyt has been in great form lately but had some bad luck in front of goal. I can see him getting on the score sheet today, worth a go at 7/4." This is an excellent forum, with some truly first-class opinion, expertise and knowledge, as well as bags of heartfelt passion. So let's please keep it that way, and keep the blatantly obvious posts to a minimum. No one needs to be told you get wet when it rains. Thanks

  6. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September

"Olympiacos sucked yesterday their coach after 6 games." Thanks for that bit of info Ollandos, no wonder the players were pissed off. It's one thing losing, quite another having to give the boss a BJ. On a more serious note ... Olympiakos will win tonight. Getting rid of the boss is exactly what they needed and a realtively weak opponent will give them a chance to find a win. See if I'm wrong. (Famous last words.)
  7. Mind your bets ... all is not as it may seem Regardless of which teams win or lose in the CL tonight and tomorrow, remember punters there is always value (of sorts) to be had by looking closely at all of the markets your favourite bookie offers. I bet almost exclusively with Paddy Power and find them to be pretty decent overall. However, I do find some odd ones in there every now and then. For example, I was looking through the various markets for a bit of value in the Liverpool (my team) versus Debreceni match and found this discrepancy ... WINCAST - S Gerrard to score in 90 minutes and Liverpool to win the match - 4/5. S Gerrard anytime goalscorer - 5/6 Of course, I assume PP's logic is that if Gerrard (any Liverpool player) scores, the Reds will go on to win, but from a punting angle that makes no sense at all. With the latter option, assuming Stevie G scores, you collect whatever the end result. With the former, he could score but you'd lose if the match was drawn or Deb won. It's all good stuff.
