  1. I think Bordeaux look a bit short against Larnaca. The 3-0 in the first leg really flattered Bordeaux, even manager Willy Sagnol said so.One of the goals was offside and the penalty was a terriible decision. They have left some important players in Bordeaux such as those listed above Sane,Plasil,Rolan,Diabate and also Poundje. In total they have brought 22 players, according to the press conference today a lot of the younger players will be given a chance, i can´t imagine they will play anywhere near a full strenght team due to the League opener against Reims on Sunday. French media indicate that Carrasso will be captain tomorrow, which would mean Sertic will be rested along with many others i presume. Here is a Bordeaux forum...they predict a lot of changes. http://forum.chezlesgirondins.com/matchs-du-moment-f22/aek-larnaca-bordeaux-le-retour-t4653-15.html Add to that, it's nearly 40 degrees in Cyprus...i would be inclined to lay Bordeaux.

  2. To be fair Costa Rica played that Copa Centroamericana without Diaz, Gamboa, Gonzalez, Umana, Navas, Bolanos and Bryan Ruiz. I'm not suggesting that Haiti are better than Panama.Rather that I think it will be a lot closer than the odds suggest. For me Panama are too short imo.

  3. I think Haiti look a good price here at about 7.They seem to have a pretty decent squad with a lot of players in Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiti_national_football_team#Current_squad Here is a run down of their best known players http://m.mlssoccer.com/goldcup/2015/haiti Besides those metioned they also have Jeff Louis from Standard Liege who is currently being linked with several big French clubs and Donald Guerrier from Wisla Krakow who apparently has been linked to Dortmund. http://www.foot24.eu/2015/06/13/rennes-et-lille-interesses-par-jeff-louis/ In the last gold cup they went out in the group stages but were desperately unlucky to lose to Honduras, they really dominated that game.Since then they have gotten a lot better. They got a draw against Italy and only lost by a single goal to both Chile and Spain.Their most recent game was a 2-2 draw away to China. Panama did great getting to the final two years ago, but i cant help but thinking they are being a bit over rated here.In their last 18 games since the gold cup they have only won 4.Three of those were against Cuba,Nicaragua and El Salvador. Most recently they got thumped 4-0 by Ecuador. I think that the market is overestimating them.Even in the last gold cup they did beat Mexico twice, but that was a Mexican b team without any of their players based in Europe. In other games they scraped past Martinique with a late penalty and drew 0-0 against a Canadian team without many of their star players. Anyway, this is their squad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_CONCACAF_Gold_Cup_squads#.C2.A0Panama Any thoughts?

  4. It is worth noting that Recife are 24 games unbeaten at home in all competitions. On the other hand Internacional have not won any of their last 8 away games. They couldnt beat either Vasco or Figueirense, two teams which are much worse than Recife. This is a very different side from the one that is doing so well in the Copa Libertadores.

  5. Internacional will be making 8 changes from the team that beat Santos. They have many players unavailable, others will be rested due to a busy schedule, including the vital Copa Libertadores game against Tigres. In all they will be without these 13 players. D'Alessandro, Ernando e Lisandro López, Alisson, Dida, Juan, Réver, Paulão, Ruschel, Bertotto, Alex, Anderson e Sasha. Sport Recife have won all of their home games, whereas Internacional have yet to win on the road. http://espn.uol.com.br/noticia/523085_desfalcado-internacional-testa-grande-fase-do-lider-sport-na-ilha-do-retiro

  6. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday March 19th Dnipro have three very important players suspended for the Ajax game Artem Fedetskyi, Ruslan Rotan (captain) and Zozulya are all out due to yellow cards they picked up against Ajax.Defender Mazuch is out aswell. Far as i can see, all four of those players have played almost every game in the Europa league thus far so they should all be a big loss. Sigthorsson played in an Ajax reserve match at the weekend and it looks like he will be ready for this one. I would fancy Ajax at evens.

  7. Re: Copa Libertadores 2015 i strongly fancy Strongest to beat Morelia. Morelia are having an awful season. They are bottom of the table at the moment. In last years Aperatura they also finished bottom. In total over the last 22 league games they have won only 2.Morelia are only in the competition by virtue of winning the Mexican cup. The Strongest won all 4 home games in last seasons Copa Libertadores against far better teams than Morelia and home advantage is huge in La Paz. Last year they qualified from a group containing Atletico PR and Velez just losing out to Defensor Sporting in the knock outs. I was in La Paz last year, honestly even walking a few blocks saps your energy so much...along with headaches from the altitude. It can't be overstated how big of and advantage it is playing in Potosi or La Paz...provided you have a decent team which the Strongest have. Strongest have won 8 and lost only one of their last 10 at home in the Libertadores... The Strongest - Universitario 1-0 The Strongest - Vélez Sársfield 2-0 The Strongest - Atlético Paranaense 2-1 The Strongest - Defensor Sporting 2-0 The Strongest - Arsenal 2-1 The Strongest - Atlético Mineiro 1-2 The Strongest - São Paulo 2-1 The Strongest - Santos 2-1 The Strongest – Juan Aurich 2-1 The Strongest – Internacional 1-1There was not a whole lot between the two teams in Morelia. The Strongest have a decent side...i just can't see a side as poor as Morelia being able to deal with the conditions

  8. Re: TIM Cup > January 20th - 22nd TEG, Napoli will be making a lot of changes. They might well win but to say that "news says that hosts will play with the normal team, without changes and rotation" just isn't true. This is another article from Italys most respected sports newspaper la gazzetta predicting a big rotation for Napoli... http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Napoli/21-01-2015/napoli-benitez-coppa-italia-cambiare-valga-posto-champions-100570335904.shtml

  9. Re: TIM Cup > January 20th - 22nd Napoli look far far too short.Benitez is expected to play pretty much a second string team. Almost all Italian sites are predicting a line up like this...which would mean 8 changes from the weekend win over Lazio. NAPOLI (4-2-3-1): Rafael; Mesto, Henrique, Koulibaly, Britos; Gargano, Jorginho; Gabbiadini, Hamsik, De Guzman; Duvan. http://www.repubblica.it/sport/calcio/serie-a/napoli/2015/01/20/news/scocca_l_ora_di_gabbiadini-105376240/ http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/probabili-formazioni/le-probabili-formazioni-di-napoli-udinese-turnover-per-rafa-c-e-gabbiadini-637208 On the other hand Udinese have been speaking about the importance of the cup and will use their best available players.Something like... Scuffet; Heurtaux, Danilo, Piris; Widmer, Bruno Fernandes, Allan, Kone, Gabriel Silva; Thereau; Di Natale. http://www.sportevai.it/calcio/udinese-stramaccioni-niente-turnover-col-napoli-ce-giochiamo/ Napoli have won none of their last 4 against Udinese and look a lay to me tonight.

  10. Re: TIM Cup > January 20th - 22nd Ok, Fiorentina manager Montella has just given the press conference a few hours ago speaking about how important the cup is to them. He has confirmed there will be no big changes....I'm sure they will want to finish this one quickly and not have to play extra time like Roma. I expect their price to drop tomorrow... http://www.gonews.it/2015/01/20/coppa-italia-la-fiorentina-attende-latalanta-montella-decisi-ad-arrivare-fino-in-fondo/

  11. Re: TIM Cup > January 20th - 22nd Fiorentina look a good price against Atalanta.Atalanta are expected to rest all of their normal starters except for Stendardo and Biavi. On the other hand Fiorentina are likely to name a strong side. They got to the final last season, reports suggest they will make 2 or 3 changes but nothing major. http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Atalanta/20-01-2015/atalanta-coppa-italia-spazio-gomez-denis-pinilla-fuori-100555776607.shtml

  12. Re: Copa Del Rey > January 6th - 8th Levante have left a lot of important players out of the squad to face Malaga. This is due to their game against Deportivo on Friday which is far more important. Iván López, Barral, Morales, Nikos, Casadesús, Ivanschitz, Simao, Diop have all been left out. Seven of those players would usually be starters.I imagine they will go with the same team that struggled so badly in the last round against Albacete (who are last place in the second division) http://es.levanteud.com/noticias/levante24008.html On the other hand Malaga have named the same squad as the weekend except for one change, Portillo comes in for Rescaldani. http://www.malagacf.com/es/noticia/primer-equipo/lista-convocados-octavos-copa/241/72354 From reading Malaga forums the fans seems well up for this. There are on the easiest side of the draw and have a realistic chance of reaching the final, so i would except the strongest possible line up from them. I would expect Malaga to shorten a lot before the game.

  13. Re: Portugal » League Cup » Guimaraes - Sporting 29.12.2014 This is the most up to date website for any news http://www.record.xl.pt/futebol/nacional/1a_liga/sporting/default.aspx Like i said the team wont be announced until an hour or so before kick off but all Portuguese websites are predicting a very weak side for Sporting. Sporting have not offered tickets to their fans and in any case they all want to see a B team play...the Sporting forum that i linked to will give you a good idea of what they think of the game. I would make Guimaraes much much shorter

  14. Re: Portugal » League Cup » Guimaraes - Sporting 29.12.2014 Guimaraes look a great price here. They have announced almost a full squad except for Bruno Alves and David Caiado. http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/taca-da-liga-vitoria-guimaraes-sporting/54a036450cf29c45d80e13b1.html They are expected to play a strong team.Guimaraes are unbeaten at home all season and have gotten a draw against Porto and beaten Sporting 3-0 in that time. As you said Sporting will use mainly players from Sporting b who are mid table in the second division. http://www.rtp.pt/noticias/index.php?article=792953&tm=45&layout=158&visual=49 There is a lot of tension at Sporting right now.Major conflict between the president Bruno De Carvalho and manager Marco Silva who is expected to be sacked soon. Sporting have not officially announced their squad and will not be doing any press conferences before the game. However, they travelled to Guimaraes last night and according to this Sporting forum i have been reading in Portuguese... http://www.forumscp.com/index.php?topic=64433.140 ...the following players have been spotted on tv travelling to the game. Sacko Dramé Podence Luis Ribeiro Boeck Tanaka Rossell Slatchev Heldon Bruno Wilson Gaud Tobias Gerales Sarr Meideros Again, nothing has been announced officially but the squad is sure to look more or less like that.Rabia was supposed to play but has had to return to Egypt. All in all Guimaraes look a great price against what is in effect mostly a second division team.
