Re: Where's the Mole? Hi all, yeah was in vegas last week, had a great time and managed to do well in the 2 tourneys i played 25th in the venetian deepstack and along with eck and blatch we finished 16th in the dream team at the rio. Online i have been having a very solid year, decided to go back to basics after a superb year 2007, last year i played live too much and got carried away with my own hype, although it was a winning year it really should have been better. So this year i started with a lowish BR and decided to grind it up which i am delighted to say i have done.

Re: Poker Tracker Wow this PT is fascinating, still trying to work out what all the stats are/mean but looks really interesting. Todays question, under the summary tab, what is the player summary? what does it mean?

Re: Poker Tracker Ah that could possibly be it (there is a credit crunch on ) :)

Re: Poker Tracker
I have closed it down for now but ofc i will answer whatever you want, the database is huge that was the problem :) Will be back on later or over the weekend.I dont want to probe you too much for too much data (you need to be careful what you give away) - however would be really interested what your most profitable, and least profitable hands are (go to the hands tab and sort by BB/100) - is AA your number one hand? Also - is your positional play as expected? (i.e. Button most profitable, then cut off, then UTG followed by the blinds)? Do you manage to win more in the blinds than you pay? Also how big is your database? Big enough to draw conclusions? Feel free not to answer any of the questions you're not comfortable with. -
Re: Poker Tracker Cheers gaf, will get on to this later as my head hurts at the moment sitting at this bloody computer all day.

Re: Poker Tracker Ok let the fun begin, i have just spent an afternoon with a great guy from remote assistance and hes got it all sorted :) he told me he would be only too happy to find new stats for high stakes if i can define them, so sounds good. Now the next problem wtf is it all about i understand nada.....

Re: The Mole
To be honest my game works at all levels as i have proved on a number of occasions. First of all its about how quickly you analyze the players at the table ( so you know what you can and cannot get away with) This is very important in short handed games especially. Aggression must be controlled i personally don't feel i am overly aggressive i know players who are and are very good at it. It's mostly an instinct but if you have analyzed the players properly then you will know when and when not to be aggressive. The other thing is being adaptable (most important word in poker) maybe being tight is the way to play at certain tables so thats what you must do. I will give your question more thought though as i have just read it. CheersWow... Just read through the thread its a bit of an eye opener! Congrats on everything over the last two years the mole/Steph/whatever you like to be called. The aggression levels from some of the hand histories you've posted almost scare me... I've just a few questions around your play. Firstly the aggression - do you choose when to really bet into people based on the flop or general gut instincts? The question is meant more to be when do you choose not to bet into people. I ask this because prior to reading this thread I tended to see extreme aggression as a bad thing. I can be forgiven slightly though because players at the local casino show the kind of aggression you do without the restraint - they pick up a few big pots off eachother then run into a concealed strong hand and lose all their money. Secondly do you think this kind of aggression is applicable right down the levels. So say at 5c/10c would you still advocate going after people as strongly as you do at the levels you play at? Anyone else who has any input on these questions is also welcome to answer! More opinions are always better :) -
